~Isra smiled. It wasn't like she cared that mcuh about what happened to someone she didn't even know. But this girl seemed honest, and not helping her...well, what kind of person would that make her? "It doesn't seem we have much of a choice, Kaine," her voice was cool and even. "Unless, of course, you'd rather walk out in debt." Her eyes flickered. Isra was still considering everything Aueron ad told them. "So...we have to collect these tears and bring them to the tower in order to restore the barrier around Saloria's tower?"

"As well as get the little lost chicky back to her nest." Kaine huffed, crossing his arms. It was not a good idea to be caught helping a stowaway. Thats called mutiny. And that gets you tossed into the water without food water or a change of clothes for when you get out.

(Change of clothes for when you get out? Doesn't everything get wet when you get thrown into the water?)
"As if the 'lost little chicky' can't find her own way back to the nest." Why were they talking about this again? Iro felt a little lost. "Who cares if she heard? No one is going to believe this story unless they've lived it." Or died in it. Both seemed as likely.
"And yes Isra, that's what we were told. That, and that there might be. . . complications." Ironic that Iro hadn't thought much about those words when he heard them. Now he thought they might be the most noteworthy thing the guard had said.

{{{Lmao!!!! Sorry, I was about to say something about the water thing, but decided not to}}} ~Isra looked at Iro curiously. "Complications?" she asked, puzzled. "What kind of 'complications' are we talking about here? And why didn't you mention this sooner?" Suddenly, Isra had a very bad feeling about this mission of theirs. It made her uncomfortable.

"I was getting to that before she showed up," Aueron stated gruffly towards Isra, gesturing back towards the red-haired cleric standing behind him who still seemed to be over her head in confusion. The swordsman turned to her, still keeping the neutralic-seriousness that seemed to fit like a mask on his face most of the time, to settle the 'argument' with, "Miss, where is your brother currently residing now that he is ill?" Ruby looked up with anxious eyes, explaining her answer quickly as it seemed the swordsman might have been leading on to something. "Just about a mile from the port--at a small ranch," she rambled off her tounge quickly, "It's not difficult at all to get to, the area appears to be all flat-land."
Her interrogator closed his eyes and crossed his arms, nodding to himself as she answered him. Only a moment afterwards, he looked back up, and turned around with as though an answer spoke for itself on his face. "Then," he went on, "if no one else has a problem with it, when we get back on land, you three will make your way to the temple after we recieve instruction from that guard through the magic-stone. I'll accompany the cleric to her home so that she can 'help her sibling'."
With a sigh, Aueron looked back at the healer behind him, "I've nothing against you or your family, but nothing can change the fact that you overheard us. So until we have a real reason to trust you with our own very lives, you will be comeing with us. In return," he said as though the beginning were her side of the deal, "we won't rat you out as a stow-away. Understood?"
Even though she had very little choice or chance to speak for herself in the matter, Ruby sighed with a mixture of both relief and dejection, and then nodded acutely. "I haven't liked this whole thing since we even got started," Aueron said with the hum of irritation in his voice, "But here we are--there's no turning back now. I guess we'll just see what kind of 'complications' that man was talking about when we get there."

~Isra sighed, the shrugged her shoulders. "Well, if our leader wants to be alone with the cute red-hed we just met, I guess I can't very well argue with him." She smiled, letting everyone know it was merely a joke. She eyed the girl carefully. 'Can we trust her?' Isra wondered. 'Oh well, guess it's not my problem.'

Despite his best efforts, Iro could not stop a slightly agitated look from creeping onto his face. Now, there was yet another person added to the group. Iro was almost ready to starting keeping a tally on his arm, just to keep track. They had only needed four in the first place.
But that wasn't the foremost thought on Iro's mind. No, what was bothering him was that, though he couldn't remember if the guard had said explicitly this mission would be dangerous or not, he had implied it at the very least and Aueron was planning to practically drag this child along for no apparent reason! And he didn't think that Isra's joking was helping much either.
Ignoring his emotions for the time being, Iro brought up another subject that was close to his thoughts. "Anyway, do we even have the slightest clue how to use that d***ed medallion?"

Ignoring Isra's 'child-ish' comment (or so he thought it was), Aueron shrugged--the gem-stone necklace wasn't really an in-depth detail that the guard described to them. Really now... was he really just being this vague about all these things on purpose? Or was he in a hurry? "I guess we'll figure it out once he reach the port. That man never told us much about it unless I've forgotten. "But, I guess we should wrap up this... 'meeting'. Are there any more questio--"
For the third interruption in a row, a loud scream pierced through his ears, and most likely the other's as well. It had the melody of fear sown all through it, as though the breath of the one who let it out was desperatly trying to cling onto its master's life. Without another word, Aueron marched off through the doorway leading from the cargo area back up on deck. With the fresh ocean-air blowing up top, the swordsman's pulled-back hair flapped in the wind-resistance, and his clothing followed suit with the push and tug of the gusts. "W-what's going on?" Ruby said in a bit of panic, clutching her hands to her mouth to surpress her own worry--though her wide, blue eyes revealed all the secrets. Reluctantly, the Cleric moved behind in the same footsteps that the boy before her did, appearing up on deck all the same.
Though, when she found Aueron on top, her expression instantly matched his own--awe. Dark, black, ominous and utterly thick clouds seemed to have swallowed the sky, or at least that's all they could see. However, these were not normal clouds... as periodically some areas of them would illuminate in a purple-color.
"Wha--What are you doing?! No-N-AAAAARGH!["/i] A second scream shattered their transfixion with the dreading sky, pounding a small sense of guilt into their hearts that they had let it delay their arrival to what seemed to be causing a gruesome horror. The swordsman's pace was not at that of a sprint, grabbing hold of one of the corners to sling his body around it, and placing as much distance between his legs as possible. But when the scene finally rushed into his green eyes all at once, he had wished he hadn't been so hasty. Aueron's arrived just in time to see one man, presumably part of the lesser crew, clinging desperately to the wrong side of the ship, and before him, was none other than the dwarfish captain himself, wielding a cutlass. Shouting, "Hey!" was the only thing the swordsman could do before the blade dropped on the man's clinging fingers, and a third scream splintered into his ears before the spash at the end--a puddle of blood was left on the side of the short wall someone had been holding onto.
Instinctively, Aueron had reached for his sword and shield in this very moment. There had been a small group of on-lookers, watching in fear and staggering back, though, those were all the crew-members. Three others made up the second group, each of them wielding blood-drenched sabers and expressing an insane look in their eyes... there was no other way to explain it except 'unnatural'. There was the captain, who had just seemingly cut off all of one man's fingers to send him plunging into the sea, and two others who appeared to be battle-hardened body guards, easilly both in their early thirties, and body structure with the look of bulking giant.
"So... 'ya want a fight, huh?" the small man said, glaring with those.... those eyes. The three of them began to chuckle maniacly to themselves, and slowly they walked towards where Aueron held his ground. Though he didn't seem to back up at all much yet, it was easy to see the confused panic raging in his irises and contracted pupils. There was no way he could fight all of them at once, maybe not even one on one, despite his training with a blade.
"What's going on here, why did you kill that man?!" There was no answer.

~The first screamed had merely pierced through Isra's thoughts, but the second chilled her to the bone. She followed the group onto the deck, paralyzed at the gruesome scene that unfolded before them. Her eyes darted about, searching for an answer to the question on everyone's mind: What the hell is going on? And as the men approached Aueron, Isra's hand instinctively went to the small hidden pocket within her skirt. She withdrew her whip, and with a flick of her wrist, the leather unbound itself and she took a fighting stance.

As Iro followed Aueron and the girl up from the belly of the ship, he instinctively checked to make sure his sword was clear in its sheath. Assured that it was, he quickly turned the scabbard at his side, so the blade was faced up, and tucked it underneath the belt he wore specifically for that reason. No one but a trained swordsman was likely to recognize the motion, or see it, but any who did would know that he was ready for all hell to break loose.
Coming out onto the deck, Iro was already in a combative state of mind. The clouds hardly seemed important - notable, but not important - but he couldn't take his eyes off of the three men. Nothing else existed in that moment but Iro and his opponents. They were dead. Whether right then or later didn't matter. They had killed a man whom they could have easily saved. They would die. Anger flooded his vision but never registered in his mind. His thoughts were blank, save what came in moment by moment.
Iro stepped into Aueron's peripheral vision, where he knew the other swordsman could see him but not close enough to get in the way. In truth, he wanted to kill them all himself, but he knew he wouldn't be able to without help. Isra was there too but she seemed to be following Aueron's lead as well.

((Yeah, Evildead, you posted on the character profile thread I had set up for here, so you either ignored or didn't both to read the instruction I put on it, saying: "Let me know, first of all, in the DoS: Planning thread if you want to make another character/join the thread"
Comeing in like you just did wasn't very good timing at all--nor did it make any sense for your character to randomly appear on a cargo-ship whose only occupants at the moment are workers. And now since I'm a little shaky about you knowing the rules, I'm not sure if I can accept you right away... Just please read some things before you post randomly next time :\ I don't like having to, you know, talk sorta harshly and stuff like this and such... but...
Anyways, please delete your previous post (edit it to 1 line, etc) and carry this coversation into a Private Message or on the Discussion thread. Thanks.))
