The bed felt magnificent, but for some reason when she tried nestling herself under them, it just didn't feel quite as good as it had before when she was laying on the floor... It wasn't anything wrong with the bed, though. More like herself, which disturbed Druid. She ignored it for now, stretching out to fill what she could of the bed, hardly even hearing what Norton had asked as she almost immediately fell asleep to restless dreams...

Norton raised a brow when he saw Druid almost 'switch-off' instantly and fall asleep. He hadn't thought she would be so tired. He yawned himself, quietly. But he had to eat. He had exhausted himself through the day and he had promised to produce that massive wave that would probably cost him a lot of energy. He wasn't even sure if he could do it without killing himself. Even then he didn't know if it would be enough. The distance and the power needed to break through Xavier's own defense would be unbelievable. He was feeling tired just by thinking of it.
He got up and left the room quietly. He roamed around again for a while and found the kitchen or more like a storage room with a freezer. He quickly made himself a rather large sandwich and grabbed a couple of ice cold water bottles. He went back to the room and ate through the sandwich within minutes. Now he was really sleepy. He drank some water and kept the other one near Druid in case she woke up for water.
He yawned once more and relaxed himself on the sofa in the corner of the room. Before he could even think about anything else, he was fast asleep.

She had so many weird dreams that night... things she didn't even think were possible came to her, dreams of things she didn't- no, couldn't- understand at the time. When she woke up, Druid yawned and stretched. And then she got a look at the room in broad daylight. Talk about a wake-up call.
The covers were lying at the foot of her bed, and her legs and arms were now a tangled mess of vines with twigs and flowers sprouting from them. As she looked about the room in wonder, she saw more vines than she could count covering the walls like climbing ivy, a wonderful scent filling the air around her. Even the bed had been covered by the vines, and they continued to grow as sunlight basked her 'skin' in positive light, turning every inch that it could touch a shade of forest green.
The bottle of water which had been left for her laid on the floor, emptied of its contents long before. Apparently, sometime early in the morning she must have relaxed to the point where her body simply let itself loose, as even the dress she'd had on was laying at the side of the bed, thankfully not with a tear or scratch on it. Druid was very confused about it all, but that light was just so... wonderful... However, she wanted her limbs back. At first, she tried reversing the process entirely, but when it put too much strain on her, she came across a most interesting thought... Why not simply separate herself from this, much as a snake sheds its old skin when it grows too large?
Her eyes closed for a moment, and she began concentrating very, very hard... at first, nothing happened; then, her limbs began to take shape, and after a minute or so, she was herself again. Hopping quietly off the bed- which had been pretty much entirely taken over in vines and plants- Druid slipped back into her dress, which she found to be an oddly bit tight in the chest now. Had she actually grown that much just over one night?
Turning towards the sofa thingy on the other side of the room from her bed, Druid skipped over to Norton, avoiding the roots and such as she did so. Finding him still asleep, she curled up next to him, laying her body as best she could against his own as she wrapped her arms around him, cooing in a hushed tone. The scent... it was lilacs, although she didn't quite know what those were, but that was the name that came to her within her mind. A relaxing scent, but not one that made a person sleepy under normal circumstances.
She nuzzled closer, taking in all the sensual information she could about Norton; the smell of his clothes, the feeling of his roughened skin. She wanted to know as much about the one who'd found her and was now watching over her, as was perfectly natural. Druid was beginning to develop a sense of security, and she wanted that implanted within her as much as possible; she wasn't quite ready to move beyond that, neither did she know how, but she still didn't wish to just leave everything to chance... Although, if anything, her sense of privacy and lack thereof needed some working on.

Norton didn't immediately react to the sensation of someone so close. He was not used to having someone around like this let alone stick to him while sleeping. He opened his eyes after a while though once his mind registered that a lot of things were different about where he slept now. The first thing that registered was the smell. He couldn't remember how long it had been since he had been able to smell a scent so refreshing. He looked down to his sides and found Druid wrapped around his torso in a kind of a bear hug.
He was also surprised because he saw and felt something that made him think that Druid was rather the age of a late teen than a 12-13 year old girl like he would have imagined before. It was her chest specifically that he could feel against his side. It seemed to have grown overnight, he had no idea how. He raised his head up and looked around the room. For some reason, he wasn't very surprised the room covered in vines. He wondered if she had control over all this as it was done or just something triggered during sleep.
He cleared the mess that her hair had become the best he could before speaking, "Seems to me you had a nice rest..."

*they didn't get THAT big XP*
Druid stirred when Norton moved on her, cooing softly at the touch of his hand against her hair. She scooted closer, attracted by body heat and scent. When he spoke, she looked up, even her face having matured by about a year or so, as if her whole being was desperately trying to catch up with all the age she'd lost as soon as possible...
Her eyes were bright and wide, showing off her emerald green eyes, standing out even against everything else that had turned that same color upon her. She broke gaze, nuzzling her head against Norton's stomach then laying down in his lap, happy just to be around him. She didn't understand how she felt, but it was better than the fear and pain she'd experienced the night before. Somehow, Druid realized that she wanted to be near Norton, more than just sitting near him, her curiosity almost being a driving force to make her explore the boundaries that were available to her.
Soon though, an instinct within her told her that perhaps she was pushing a limit, although what that was didn't come to her; still, she lifted her head and slid it more under Nortan's arm, nuzzling that area as she cooed quietly, content and sure with her placement this time. Not knowing what to do next, she tried to respond to his question as best she could with "Sleep... uh... sleep was good...", her lids half-closed with a combination of relaxation and actual sleepiness.

He wasn't very comfortable with the girl getting even closer to him. He had not had practice with proximity with others and he was trying very hard not to show it in his body language or even push her away. He knew she wouldn't react well to it from what he had gathered about her personality. He got into a sitting position and asked her, "So do you remember anything about yourself or where you are from?"

Druid felt that she was making Norton uncomfortable, and backed off on her own. Still, she clung to his arm, saying "Druid doesn't remember... much... White beds... steel cage... wire... needles..." The young mutant shuddered at the mentioning of that last part. "Druid... hates needles..." As if orchestrated to maximize his discomfort, Druid pulled the arm she was clinging to closer, her body practically squished right up against it as her head laid against his shoulder...

He hesitated before asking the next question, not really expecting anything helpful. "Do you... remember anybody else, any others? He couldn't really do anything right now with his arm trapped in her hold so he let it be. He was somehow getting used to her being being around, clinging to him. After all, she had been for the last day or so.

Jake entered the infirmary to find Dack sitting up and perfectly conscious. "Good, you're awake," he said. He glanced at Marcus, who immediately picked up the nonverbal cue and said, "He appears to be uninjured, except for some minor scrapes and bruises. I laid out a vague description of who we are and where he is, but you'll need to fill in the blanks."
Jake nodded. "Welcome to The Castle," he told Dack. "This is a haven for mutants who don't particularly want to cooperate with the government. Mutants such as yourself, from what we observed on the subway. I know you might not want to -- or be at liberty to -- discuss this, but I have to ask anyway: Do you have any idea why the X-Men were so intent on capturing or killing you?" He hoped that at least some explanation was forthcoming... it would be useful to know exactly how Dack had managed to piss off the worst possible people to have as enemies.
(OOC: I had access to a computer, so I checked in. Don't expect regular activity till Tuesday, though.)

*guess it my turn O.o my bad D: gonna be short too >.<*
Druid looked up to Norton, a confused look on her face. She tilted her head, as if to say "what was that again?", but didn't speak a word this time. She was slowly grasping this new language, but even now a full grasp upon it was impossible. The circuits inside her head were broken, which meant that the link inside her to the 'other' Druid was cut off for now...

He just smiled at her and shook his head as if to say it didn't matter. He stroked her hair again and spoke, "Lets find you some food, to eat or... would you like to go outside, in the sun?" He remembered how much she liked the sunlight but it was important to leave the choice to her, let her make decisions about herself rather than him leading her around according to his wishes. When he was confident she had developed enough understanding and familiarity with the place, he would give her the opportunity to do as she liked. Maybe later today itself. Yes, he would try that next. It would be a good way to test that he had not damaged any critical components of the complex circuitry in her brain.

Druid looked right up at Norton as soon as he said the word 'outside'. Quickly, she nodded, brushing her head against his arm and purred. 'Sunlight' and 'outside' were now hotkeys in her memory; just the thought of that warm light hitting her made Druid want it even more. It was almost a drug now, but one that made her grow, not just a few hours worth of buzz or whatever...

He smiled and patted her head playfully, "I guess that means you want to go outside. Come on then...", he said and got up from his place. He opened the door and held it open for her to get out. He spoke into the comm as he waited, "Good morning. Any updates on the modifications on the dish I should know about. Jake, how is our friend doing?"

Dack looked at the man, sizing him up. This one had an air of danger to him and he was obviously the leader. He remembered him from the subway.
"You want to know why the X-Men were after me?" he asked and grinned.
"Who do you think caused that black out?" he said....

She followed obediantly, but hesitated when she was just outside the door, looking up to Norton thoughtfully. Should she really be going out alone, with all the trouble she'd caused as of late? What if someone was waiting there, outside, just to get to her, or something happened and she couldn't quite yell for help? Why was she being so cautious all of a sudden?
Druid whined, worried and a bit scared to just be going off on her own. This castle was scary, after all; who knew what could jump out and eat her or whatever when she wasn't looking?! Druid was curious, but even her curiosity seemed to have a limit now...
