Muldreina could only watch from the ground as the battle took place. One of them nearly landed on her, and she immediately cast a tangling spell upon it as she dodged out of the way, capturing the flaming beast and putting a swift end to its misery. She was impressed by this man, Dante, and his mount, fighting as one being above her. The other dragon-looking things that had been attacking were quickly slain; one of them darted off towards the far end, aiming away from the forest, before being felled and dropped just shy of the lake's edge.
"Celinia," Muld called out to her sister, "see If you can get that man alive. It would be preferable to have someone alive to talk to, if only to confirm Dante's story." The response she got came sooner than she expected... "Sister, I am not your servant. That, and he has invaded my privacy, right when I was washing my hair no less! No, go find your own hostages for once! Oh, and your little friend is on his way to the Great Forest. Thought you would like to know. Now shoo! Off with you! Leave me alone here for at least a FEW minutes..."
Fumed, Muldreina just let it go, determined not to let her sister get the best of her. After a second, she stalked off into the forest, determined to find Arden... if he was in or near the Great Forest like her sister said, then she'd be able to find him easily once she got herself there as well. It would take much effort, but if she could spare him disaster it would be well worth it in her mind...

Ivarius Shade moved through the shadows of the trees in the forest of the spirit he had forgotten the name of. He realized, he did not remember the name of any other spirit for that matter. He had stayed in the mountains so long, that he had not had any contact with the other spirits except the moon spirit. She didnt talk to him but was always above the mountains that were his home. He would see her almost every night but now she had not been seen for some time. Nobody seems to have noticed except him.
It had gone wrong suddenly. A lot of his powers had suddenly dissapeared. He had to find the others now after so many years and warn them and help them, and himself get his powers back.
He appeared in a form too human for his liking. The reduced powers had taken away the aura that would alone scare away those who dare exploit the rich mines of his mountains.
As he looked around trying to find the spirit, he was happy to see that the spirit had kept her forest in good condition despite what he assumed were numerous attempts to exploit the resources.

Tossed and turned over and over, the white water churned and consumed with a rushing sound as the onslaught of the river battered its way between the rock strewn rapids. Arden bobbed helplessly, trying desperately to keep his tiny head above the constantly changing surface. He gulped down air when he could and water when he couldn't, his legs and arms flailing in the struggle. He bounced off several rocks of various sizes, using his feet to push himself free and back into the more open water, his body already battered from his recent flying experience. His clothes were torn, and his body ached and groaned under the strain. The torrents of water smashing their way closer and closer to the edge of the world. But somehow Arden managed to keep hold of his bag of soaked belongings.
When eventually the waters calmed Arden was able to swim, as best he could, to the river back and pulled his exhausted body from the water. The sound of rushing water had faded here, replaced by the roar of water falling. Had he the energy Arden would have pulled himself up with his usual curiosity and tied to take a look, tiredness had the better of him though and it was too dark to see. Darkness had finally descended once again over the world, and Arden needed to sleep. He forced himself to his knees and searched for a convenient place to sleep. All he could find though was a hole, which was a little larger than Arden himself. With what energy he had left, Arden gathered a collection of large leaves from the nearby foliage and lined the hole for comfort, then several more to cover himself for warmth. He started a small fire as well so he could dry his clothes, then crawled into the furnished hole and drifted into slumber.

General Admund Bane listened to the scout report the demise of his riders and the hatching of the egg. His face was showing the strain of holding back anger and fear at the same time. He didn't make mistakes like this. Thats why he was the general. He feared the king might put it to him in a different tone altogether.
"Go now and keep me informed...", he growled at the scout who was mindful to clear out of the room before the king showed up. He was thankful he didnt have to report this to the king directly. He had heard about the last man who had failed to deliver the egg.
As if on que, the huge doors to the private quarters of the king opened. The king had pushed them opened himself. He could have had sentries announce his arrival and made 8 men stand there to welcome him but he was not the one to bother with the "royal treatment". He said it made him soft. He walked, no charged into the room with his adviser and friend Alexander and the constrained spirit walking behind him.
He walked past his general and proceeded to sit impatiently on his thrown, already knowing there was bad news to come.
"Report General...", as he watched the spirit take its place on a seat behind him bound in chains glowing a mysterious red glow. Alexander quietly took his place standing on the other side of him, looking at the general himself.
Admund collected his thoughts. Here was the one man that scared him out of his wits. It wasnt that he acted rashly. It was how effective his actions were in getting the people's mind into a submissive state.
"The rider, Dante, he managed to survive..." he was cut off by the king's question. "Casualties?"
"None survived my lord...", he looked down at the smooth, shining floor, waiting for the rage.
"Good, they are starting to learn...", the king exclaimed.
"My lord, the egg has hatched..."
Varahun Srike was furious with rage but he held it back. Alexander had taken a step forward and whispered some thing into his ear that sounded a reasonable plan to him.
"General..."
"Yes, my lord", he looked at Alexander for a moment saw him hiding a smile. He knew instantly he was not going to like what was about to be said.
"This is what will happen, you will take whatever you think you will need to crush the resistance and everybody that has been stopping our men from getting back the egg. You will go along with them this time. I dont care if you have to take the whole army with you. You will show them what happens when they interfere with us... or I will show you what hell looks like."
It was the ingenious of combining the motivation and the fear that always inspired his soldiers to do amazing things in battle.
"I, will go after the dragon with the elite guard. Alexander will stay here and look after this creature." He pointed at the spirit.
No one knew how or why the king had captured the spirit. She was supposed to be the spirit of the moon called Luna. It was said it was impossible to reach her let alone capture her, but their king had done it somehow.
"As you command my lord", replied Admund Bane and gave a bow and backed out of the chamber.
Alexander spoke as the general left. "Now you can get the dragon while the unsuccessful general keeps our enemies busy." He had been the adviser to Varahun since the day he had risen to power. Together, the two had expanded his kingdom beyond the reaches of any kingdom in history. But Alexander was not happy. Had he been as strong as Varahun, he would have never helped him raise to such greatness while he watched and kneeled against a man of fas lesser intelligence than him. The recent capture of the spirit had intrigued him. There was a secret here he didnt know, and he was adamant to find out what it was while both the suspicious general and the king was away.

With the last of the riders dispatched Dante figured it was getting a bit too dangerous. Soon a small patrol would be by to check on the status of the deployed forces, and when they found out about the dragon egg, or dragon, chances were that they would go looking themselves. He had to find them first, simple as that. Sabre started heading in the direction the Salin was last seen going, even landing to look over the unusual strip that the wheel barrow left behind in the dirt before running off after it. Dante in the mean time had dozed off, figuring that he couldn't do much good in this situation anyway.

*sry for slowing things down >.<*
Muldreina was interrupted from her concentration when she felt a new presence enter the forest. Assuming it to be another pesky human, she was not thrilled one bit. Now I know why Celinia hates humans... these things are quickly becoming a pain in the assets! All they do is attack, attack, and attack, with greed and stupidity being their driving forces... idiots! The whole lot of them!
Now quite infuriated, she stalked off to meet this newest moron. As she got close, though, she began to sense something vaguely familiar about this one... when he was in her plain view, she knew why. Even without his aura, the feeling she got near him was all the same thing to her. "Shade!!"
Her response was immediate and probably disturbing to him; Muldreina immediately changed into her human child form and rushed up to the long-forgotten spirit, hugging him at the knees and clinging tightly. After a second, she let go and looked straight up at him her usual face of wonder showing easily through as she quirked "So what brings the spirit of darkness all the way down here? Um... shoot! I know your name... its... its..."

"Its Ivarius. Its ok really. I seem to have forgotten all your names too. Its been too long." he spoke as he got on one knee to come to level with the spirit who had surprised him. He had forgotten how likable she was in her human form, almost like a little sister.
He had looked around earlier while on his way but didnt spot any other spirits. He didnt expect to either as he realized they would be constantly moving due to their nature.
"I actually came looking for you. Have you seen the spirit of the moon recently? She was the only one I could see from my home and I havent seen her in quite some time now. As you can see, I have lost a considerable amount of powers", he frowned as he said this. " Are you... having any trouble like that?"

Dante swore loudly as he was jerked awake by Sabre's sudden stop. "What's going on?" The dragon just snorted unhapily as he lost the trail on the ground, but he had found somthing unusual.....claw marks with the Salin's footprints in pursuit just before they vanished. "Well, do you have a scent?" The dragon made another growling noise, "Oh good enough....lets go...." Sabre took wing, heading after the unusual scent of the newly hatched dragon, soon noticing that the Salin's scent just stopped in the middle of the air while the dragon's kept going. He decided to follow the dragon, the thing he actually could track.

"This one be Muldy, remembar brotha?" she perked up, but quickly considered the rest of what he'd said. "Luna... I guess not. Tha's funny... she usually es tha only one consist'nt bahtween us all... I've nev'r seen her leave that place up thar once since she went there."
At the mentioning of a 'loss of power', Muldreina perked up. "Now that ya mention et... there's been some weird vibes a'comin' through here la'ly, an mah forests have been gettin' smaller every week. And Celinia'Undine has been havin' trouble keepin' water in her ponds n' rivers. But what it all mean, brotha? Wha' could be a'doin' this kinda thang?"
(enter Luna ;D)
Hylureina'Luna sat in her prison, crying. The apparatus attached to her head continued its ominous glow, drawing power from her every second the horrible thing was on her. She felt weak and used; they were making her do horrible things, unspeakable things. And she'd heard talk about them using her for some sort of fusion...
She just sat there, crying. Hyl was frightened more than she had been in her entire existence; she felt used, raped, and generally mistreated by these evil humans. She hated everything, everyone, except...
Hyl tried calling out to her brothers and sisters again, but she could hear her mind-voice echoing all around her, going nowhere fast. She whined; Hyl wanted to be home, amongst the stars and the sky above her. But she felt like a fool now, her own kindness sending her down to earth to help that poor child, only to be grabbed by those wicked, evil humans and locked away down here in this horrible dungeon. At first, she'd resisted them; that lasted as long as they kept this horrible device off her head, which wasn't long. Her prison was made of or enchanted with something that kept her inside and wouldn't let her go... she was scared, lonely, and weakening by the day, but never dying once, even when she was at her weakest...
At least, if she died, she'd be reincarnated far from her, in her old form, to take over her old duties of protecting the sky and the stars while the sun slept... right?

Shade put a hand on her head and looked up at the empty sky. "I am not sure sister, but I intend to find out. Can you still take your full spirit form? I seem to have lost that ability. You would have liked my spirit form." He was frowning again. He didnt know why but he felt helpless in this situation. He felt he was responsible for protecting his sisters, something he hadn't been doing for so many years.
"I am here now. We will figure this out together. Where are the others? Would be be kind enough to inform that I am here in your forest and would like to talk to them as soon as they can make it here?"
"On a side-note, how have you been keeping yourself busy all these years Muld?"

"whoa! Slow down thar.... one question atta time thar!!" Muldreina concentrated for a second, easily slipping back into her spirit form as she did a silly little twirl, something she enjoyed doing simply for the flair of it. "Now wha' was all that talk again...."
She thought for a second, then began wandering around. Finally, she came back, asking "Now wha' was it all that ya wanted t' know?" Her face was a precious mix of curiosity and temporary yet complete cluelessness...
Finally they came back to her like a snap. "Ah! Right! Sorray... mah memory's not been in top shape as of late... Well, Celinia is nearbah as always! She'd easily get it out to th' rest of 'em. But I've gotta small errand t' run here... Friend of mahne's gone and gotten his silly self lost most laikely. I's promise t' be back befar ya can get t' yellin' at me." She smiled, then began concentrating, finally disappearing as she shifted into her forest, going back to trying to find Arden...

(sorry, been busy - work stuff, life, girl, that sort of thing)
When he woke Arden found it was light, the sky light was rising and the forest behind him it's normal self. In front of him though was nothing, nothing what so ever, noting at all for as far as he could see. Except of course the ground, which curiously stopped just a few feet in front of him, on an upward slope. This was it, the edge of the world exactly as it was depicted on the map. Where the map stops, so does the world. Arden had dreamed about it, heard the stories his great grandfather had passed down over the years, but he had never in all his five cycles imagined it to be so... so... empty, and yet in it's own way, so beautiful.
But Arden couldn't help but think about other things. His wheelbarrow for starters, left behind broken on the path, and the dragon, his dragon. He missed the egg, he had preferred it as an egg, at least then it couldn't fly away. He sat for a quite some time in his hole sulking. Then after a while he eventually got bored and rather stiff for sitting for so long in one position and thought it best that he sulked standing up. He got to his feet and walked around for a bit before finally deciding to sit on the edge of the world where he could dangle his sore feet over the edge.
He sat down on the edge and looked out for a long time, up at the sky and the sky light, and the birds flying overhead. Then something occurred to him. He was sat on the edge of the world, he'd looked up and he'd looked out, but what was down? Arden's curiosity suddenly took control of him and he wiped the tears from his eyes to get a better look at what really was down. He leaned carefully forwards, not sure whether he needed to hold onto the edge of the world or not, but doing it anyway. Suddenly he rubbed his eyes several times in rapid succession, then looked again not believing what he could see. Excitement rushed through him as it had when the egg hatched, and he quickly pulled himself back from the edge of the world and onto his feet to get a better look.

Muldreina materialized in the Great Forest... she'd never liked being in here; for her tastes, it was too dark and damp. However, it was her forest, even if it wasn't her favorite one, and Arden was in trouble. A few minutes later, she found his wheelbarrel, and now she was worried; the thing was trashed, but being a forest spirit, she easily fused the wood back together (even dead wood still comes from the forest, and thus carries some of its energy with it).
However, the reason it was here and Arden wasn't made her worry. If this was here and he was gone, along with that egg of his... Arden could be in serious trouble! I hav'ta find him, an' fast!!

Shade had followed Muld, having nothing to do standing alone in his sisters' home. Moving from shadow to shadow, only someone with exceptional eyesight would be able to track him, that too when they knew what to look for. It was easy to follow Muld as she stuck close to the forest, giving his enough darkness to move around. As he saw Muld stop and use her powers on some dead wood, he thought it would be wise to show himself rather than follow her discreetly.
He materialized behind her and spoke, "You know Muld, if you tell me why you are so worried, I could probably help you..
