*M, Arden (Mir's character) is down in the forests below somewhere O.o he's no where near Muld and Shade are right now...*
She was about to answer when she heard something speak behind her. Whirling around and still in her human form, or having changed back to her human form as this author cannot quite remember the finer details at the moment and is too lazy to look them up, she glared at the human who had somehow managed to get past her eyes. Had she really been so distracted that she hadn't seen him coming? Nevertheless, here he was. "Who are you?" she stated rather irritatedly, flustered that a human, of all beings, would ask to help her, "And what makes you think you can help in this matter? It is something that must be discussed properly... "
She closed her eyes, and realized what was happening... everything around them was deteriorating, and fast. Her forest, her voice, even her perky attitude was lessened, and definitely at the worst time possible now. Where was that Valkyrie? She might need the girl sooner than she wanted to admit...
The Valkyrie took a few tenitive steps, grabbing onto a nearby table for support as she almost fell down. But something else caught her... looking behind her, she saw that a young woman with bright sapphire eyes and electric blue hair had grasped her around the waist, holding her rather easily in place. "You shouldn't be so hard on yourself, young lady" she said, placing a single knee in front of herself to help right the warrior. "You are not about to go anywhere... your armor is in tatters, your body is still recovering, and your shirt... well, just take a look for yourself."
She did, and realized that the cloth underneath her right breast was torn rather oddly... quickly covering herself, she stared back to the girl, who was taking her hand now. "Who are you?" she questioned, eyes narrowing as she looked at the girl, who she realized was quite oddly dressed; simple clothes adorned her body, which looked more like that of a goddess than a human... and the fact that she just filled a cup of tea leaves with steaming hot water without even touching a pitcher further mystified the moment. "Or... should I ask, what are-"
She was interrupted when the woman turned around, practically thrusting the cup at her as she said "Drink. This will help your body heal. It will also calm your nerves for a while. What I have to tell you is possibly more important than anything you will ever do in your lifetime..."
Luna was tired, but she fought back sleep. She didn't want to sleep... she wanted to get away from here, this place than reeked of evil and hatred. So scared, so tired, so frightened... The men, they'd finally taken the device off her head, but even now she felt ever more tired than she had been before... They'd placed her outside, bound by magic chains to the building in order to 'recharge' her... in other words, to make her useful again.
As spirits, with their boundless energy within their environs, could not, in effect, 'die' per say, they were perfect candidates for what she was going through: energy extraction. The very purpose of it all was to fuel something that the world had not yet seen, a terrible machine that could wreak havoc unseen before upon the land... But first, they needed large amounts of her energy in order to create it. The process was slow, but progressing rather well, and soon, there would be nothing to oppose those who were involved in this terrible act...
However, they had not counted upon her willpower to prevent them from taking what they needed... once they had completed the power source, she would be of no further use to them, and would be eliminated using the darkest of magics... and once the Mother was awakened, they would capture her too, and use her to extend their power beyond anyone's wildest dreams... but first, they would need to complete the project. And as Luna refused to comply, they had to use harsher means to extract her lifesource, which drained her sooner, and gathered even less.
But once outside, she was exposed... now was her chance, but she was too weak to call out... She would have to wait until she was almost at full, near the end of the night... She was the moon, she was the second sun, but she was too weak, too weak to even cry out to her brothers and sisters for help... Luna would wait, she would wait for morning to come, and then, before they took her in, she would call out and seal their doom...
