((This is just a random world. Feel free to use any kinds of characters here, but please use your discretion. As in the rules...no godmoding. Cheating is allowed though ^_^ keeps things fun. And feel free to joke around if you wanna too.))
The grey skies above tell of a forgotten and sorrowfilled history. This once prosperous land, now all but barren of all life save for a few scattered villages, was once the most highly respected of all. Their history is hidden from the descendants of this wretched landscape, no records are known to remain of times past.
"The sky is dark again," utters a cloaked figure. "I'll seek council."
The hooded figure reaches up and adjusts the hood to fit his strange ears. Lifting his head to look ahead it is revealed that this creature is by no means human. Soft black fur covers his feline-like face and yellow eyes peirce into the shadows like daggers. His long black cloak hovers just above the earth when he stands upright and his green garments fit to his toned body nicely. On his waist hangs a single dagger, an indication of his almost useless claws.
The figure turns to face the wind and pulls a soft blue coluored orb from his bag. He closes his eyes and cradles it to his chest as he recites the words required to beckon his guide.
"Wind fade to silence and Light give us power. Shiva"
The winds spiral around his body and brings with it a cold feeling. Small spots of frost randomly form as the temperature in the immidiate surroundings lower to almost 0 degrees. A small blue form rises behind the strange creature as if ready to attack. A blue skinned girl with emerald hair tied into a ponytail stands but four and a half feet tall behind the 6'7" giant who called her.
"Are you lost already?" she says with an innocent smile. "Or did you just miss me?"
"Ths goddess of Ice," he remarks, not turning to face ths child. "Is she too busy to meet with me again?"
"Mother sleeps now, I'll be your guide until she awakens."
"I still know not where I am being guided to, what does she require of me?"
"All will be revealed in time," she responds as her face loses expression. "You just have to trust us."
Listening to a mere child? Was this to be his fate? Ever since he aquired the strange orb all he had seen was this girl, never once had he spoken with an adult.
"The sky has gotten dark again," he said. "This is the second time I've seen it since I've been here. What does it mean?"
"I know not where it was that you travelled from, but here it means that rain approaches."
"What.....what is this 'rain'?"
"Um..." she begins. "Its like a waterfall that comes from the dark clouds."
"Strange land this 'Arcadia'. No such thing exists where I come from."
"Just seek shelter you big whiner!" the girl scolded. "You have no use to me if you get sick!"
"As you wish my lady," he said with a bow. "I'll beckon for your assistance again should I need it."
With that he continues on his journey, still heading west as he had been directed. Hopefully there would be a town nearby and a chance for him to find out why he had been chosen to undertake this unknown task when a warrior would have been a better choice than a thief.
A burst of wind shot from behind him, sending a chilling gust across the immidiate landscape. Just as had happened previously, the girl had chosen to vanish in such a noisy and boastful way and as usual froze the back of his cloak.
"How annoying," he said in an almost monotonous voice. "I'll just wait for it to melt."
The long day of walking had taken its toll on this natural traveller and now all he sought was a place to rest his weary body.

((I like this, but you need to make a character bio ok? hope ya don't mind me joining. ^-^ again, this is cool ^-^ ))
A giant black wolf ran across the barren plain heading for the town. Atop the large wolf was a woman. Her hair as dark as the wolves fur, but her clothes the exact opposite, a stunning white. White shirt, pants, and a white cloak over it all. "Hurry, faster. The rain's started. I don't want to get soaked." the woman almost layed on the wolf's back, so that they were more aerodynamic. The wolf was pretty much charging to the town until it caught a smell of something and turned around, slowing to a stop and sniffing the air. "what are you doing? I'm getting wet!" she pulled her cloak tightly around her. The wolf just snorted and looked at the hooded man they had passed.

(( umm....i dont really know what you mean my creating a bio....maybe you should gimme an example of one, and no..i dont mind anyone joining, adds to the fun when there are a lot of people)) Loud crashing sounds are heard following illuminating lights dancing across the sky. The rains had arrived and the traveller still had no shelter. He dashed quickly across the barren land, holding the hood tight over his head to keep it from falling back. "I dont like this at all," he said, regretting not hastening his steps sooner. In his haste he falied to notice the two race past him until he realised that something up ahead semed to be awaiting his approach. He was new to this land and was unaware of their customs. Though not wanting to arouse suspicions or attract hostility, he had no way of telling what the intentions of these two were especially considering his choice of occupations.
He slowed his motion and withdrew his left arm, hiding it under his cloak and placing it upon the hilt of his dagger while keeping hold of his hood with his right. Eventually he came to a complete stop, standing infront of what seemed to be a woman sitting atop a large dog of some sort."Hello there!" he called. "Would there be a place to rest in this direction?"

"stupid wolf... what have you gotten me into..." the woman sighed and pulled her cloak tightly around her. "I'm getting wet..." she finally looked at the man. "We were just heading to the town to get a room at the inn. and if you hadn't stopped we would be there and I'd be dry." she glared at her wolf, who just snorted again.

"An inn? Perfect."
It was just what he needed. Though he had no money, he had to find a way. He took a step back from the two and pulled his cloak tightly around his damp fur before dashing off again, not bothering to thank either for the information.
He quickly arrived at the town and took shelter under a nearby tree. Though this was hardly a break from the down pour, it was still better than nothing. His eyes scanned the area for a suitable victim but not a single person could be seen. Everyone had apparently taken shelter from the storm long ago and the pickings were less than slim.
'Great,' he thought to himself, 'not a single native around. How am I to gather money like this?'
A crooked smile crept across his face as he turned to face the direction he came from. He didnt need to look hard. The money for his room was coming straight towards him, riding on a big dog.
He extended his claws and climbed the tree then sat on a branch. His dark cape was unraveled from his body and held at both ends as he prepared to pounce the unsuspecting girl and take whatever he could get a hold of.

The wolf ran into town and growled as a familiar scent came to its nose. "I see him now Kacha... To think we actually led him here... oh well... thanks for pointing him out. You know what to do." The wolf nodded and ran straight for the tree, baring its fangs.

Laeo snarled as he had been discovered long before his trap could be sprung. He jumped to a higher branch and returned his cloak to its place before sitting there and looking down at the two.
"Why are you being so hostile?" he asked. "I was just looking for a place to get out of the rain."
He remained on the branch and awaited their response, getting thoroughly soaked by the dripping leaves and pulling his cloak even tighter in a vain effort to block out the water.

"then walk into the inn. Don't crouch and hide in the tree like a sneak." The wolf slowed to a stop by the tree.

He jumped from the tree and splashed himself with mud as he hit the soft ground. Walking past the wolf he growled lowly since it had ruined his chance but kept his head straight as he made his way towards the building displaying the "Inn" sign outside.
The door pushed open and a dripping wet figure stepped in. His soaked cloak clung tightly to his garments and his hood layed lazily over his head, hiding his face from full view. Laeo walked up tp the counter and lowered his head a little before speaking.
"A room. I require a room."
He knew he had no money but he had to get out of the rain somehow.
"A room is 3 gold pieces a night?" answered the store owner. "And you pay upfront."
Laeo thought for a few moments then smirked from under his hood.
"May I see a room? I'd prefer to decide if they are worth it before I hand over my money."
"Certainly. Right this way."
The two climbed a short flight of stairs and turned into a small room with nothing but a bed and a window. The floors were rough and cracked but anything dry would do.
"I'm sorry but we dont have many high quality rooms left. Is this acceptable?" he said turning to face the shrouded stranger.
"It certainly is..." said Laeo holding the blue orb before the man.
A slight gust blows through the building and slams the door shut. The temperature once again drops dramatically and the guests start complaining and walk to the front desk only to find it empty.

"Well this is odd..." the woman said before getting off the wolf's back. "Stay out here incase anything happens, I have a feeling our friend from earlier has done something." With a flick of her white cloak the woman walked into the inn, ready to cast if need be.

Within the room is a blanket of snow. The white interior looks out of place but understandable considering the occupant. Whenever she appears, it always gets...
"Cold!!"
Her small hand ripped across his furry face in a fit of rage.
"Why are you angry? I feel just fine." he said rubbing his cheek.
"You wont get sick immidiately you idiot! I told you to get away from the rain before it came down!"
Another hand flew across his cheek and left a white spot which spread slightly.
"I told you your of no use to us if you get sick!"
Yet again she swung her palm at the face of the crouched Laeo but was stopped when he caught her hand.
"Please stop that."
His request clearly ignored as the other hand collided with his opposite cheek. This child was being a brat again.
"Its bad enough that you got wet! But to call me in that situation is even more foolish! Your wet fur and my cold atmosphere increase your chances of getting sick!"
Ths child collapsed beside her companion and held her forehead. Her face displayed a look of weariness while Laeo just rubbed his two frozen cheeks.
"Alright then," she said, "it appears that you'll need my help so I'll stick around for a while. At least till you get an idea of what you need to do to, or get someone else to take care of you. How did you survive this long on your own anyway?"
"This long?" he asked curiously. "What do you mean by that?"
"I mean, how have you been able to take care of yourself all your life when you cant even stay out of the rain?"
"All my life? You make me seem so old. I'm only 13 you know."
"WHAT!?" she screamed in confuson. "Your still a child? But you look and act so old. I thought you were fully grown!"
"I am fully grown! Everyone else in my village hits this height at about 11 years and remains there forever."
"I cant believe this. I have to be babysitting someone two years my senior."
Laeo glanced over at her at the sound of this statement. He had often heard that creatures such as her could appear in many forms and and he had assumed that this girl was actually much older than she looked.
"I'm older than you?" he inquired.
"Yes!" she responded harshly. "Didnt I just say that?"
Laeo turned his head towards the ceiling and just smirked under his cold hood.
"I guess that explains the difference in our attitudes."
"Whats that supposed to mean?" she asked in an annoyed tone.
"Just saying that it explains why you act so much like a spoiled child."
The girl stared at him with her jaw wide open. Never before had someone spoken to her like that, let alone a mortal.
"I-I.."she began.
"You say something?" Laeo asked teasingly while returning his gaze to her face.
"I'm SO gonna freeze you!"
Laeo jumped to his feet and dashed for the door as the girl did a backflip and landed on her feet. Her arms extended outwards and small withe sparkles collected around her palms as her angry gaze caught Laeo's fleeing figure.
"Drifting breeze come down with fury! Blizzard!"
The sparkles shot out after Laeo as he knocked over a snow covered figure. The object collapsed and the passing wind created by Laeo's retreat blew away the snow hiding the face of the frozen solid Inn keeper.
The door flew open as he burst through and quickly turned and barricaded it with his shoulder. He braced and was almost knocked down the stairs upon experiencing the impact of Ice hitting the wooden door at high speed. Through the two layers, he felt his shoulder getting increasingly cold and jumped back upon seeing the door beginning to turn to Ice.
He practically froze in fear as he realised that this girl was serious.
'She really intends to freeze me?' he thought. 'What a spoiled selfish brat!!'
He raced downstairs and flew past the surprised guests as well as the wolf riding stranger on his way out. Dashing through the door, he tripped upon seeing the large wolf but scrambled to his feet and continued on his way out into the pouring rain. Whatever would happen there, he left it up to the stranger and the guests to deal with it.

"Well looks like someone went overboard on the ice spells... Kacha!" she yelled to the wolf outside. "Bring that boy back..." Rana ordered the wolf, and the wolf immediately started running after Laeo.
"Now... as for this ice..." Rana cracked her knuckles and cast low fire spells to start unfreezing everything in her path until she reached the door to the room Laeo was just in. Once she reached that door she used a very high level fire spell to unthaw it so she could open it. Cautious not to slip on any ice that might be there. What she saw when she opened the door surprised her. "That stupid boy... out in the rain, tries to ambush me, then freezes the inn keeper!" she huffed, not even noticing the girl in the room as she immediately knelt to start and thaw the inn keeper. "this man could die because of this... then where would I stay?!" She shook her head as heat encircled the inn keeper, then the girl finally caught her eye. "um...." Rana looked at the girl confused.

Out in the rain again, Laeo ran back towards the tree to hide in its branches. He glanced over his shoulder to see if the girl pursued but saw the wolf charging instead. Not one to like fighting, he jumped and grabbed a branch then pulled himself up just in time to aviod a bite to his heel. He sat on the branch once again and stared down at the wolf for a moment before turning his eyes towards the Inn.
'I wonder whats happening in there' he thought. 'It sounds way too quiet.'
His wet clothes felt uncomfortable and the smell of wet fur was even more unpleasant. The hood on his head, now thoroughly soaked, weighed heavily on his neck and he quickly pushed it off to have it hang behind him. Now his head was exosed for the world to see but the rain didnt seem to care much. Random droplets of water fell on his damp fur and almost drove him to a breaking point. This 'rain' he had been warned about was just about the most unpleasant thing he had experienced since he had arrived and he longed for it to be over.

((I'll need you to post for the girl for my character to say anything.))
The wolf growled as it stood beneath the tree. It had been given orders and it would carry them out. It was to retrieve the boy.

The girl stood baffled as this woman burst in and started to unfreeze the Inn Keeper without even saying a word. She was even worse than that furry faced freak she had just chased away! Her hands descended to her side and the sparkles faded a little but had not vanished completely.
"Who are you?" she asked in an annoyed tone.
