Having found the oppurtune moment, The Shadow slowly withdrew three Shurikens from the inside of his belt. He raised them ready, side-stepped away from the corner, threw the shurikens at the Ave(his primary target on this mission), and disappeared in a blur.

Struck were the shoulder meets her neck with the first, and in the thigh with the second, Arachna barely had time to block the third, as she fell to the ground bleeding rapidly from the wound near her neck. "Assassins!" She 'shouted', quickly probing the area for any thoughts other than those of herself and Derek.
Finding one, she locked on with all her senses and stood up, stemming the flow of blood from her wounds and drawing her staff. With a twist of the shaft, Arachna's staff quickly extended to its full length. "Come out..."

A soft laugh could be just about heard, but it seemed to be coming from several directions.: As you wish Ave... The Shadow appeared again from behind, a kunai spinning on the index finger of both hands. He then throws both at the Ave and unsheathes his falcions right after.

Myst gawked at the man from where she sat, disbelief apparent on her face.
"What are you talking about?" She demanded. "You come out of no where, kill - no massacre everyone, kidnap me... Now you're trying to be all friendly and tell me you need me... AND STOP CALLING ME FRAGILE!"
With that her hand found a small rock and she hurled it at him.

The Iccaari shrieked in pain. It was a heart wrenching shriek. It filled the sky and echoed through the forest and valley. However, it was not by the rock. The rock hadn't even hit him. He knew right off what was going on. The Ave was injured and in pain. His right hand grasped the joint between his shoulder and his neck firmly while the other one went to his thigh. He winced and then loosened. One thing he hated about the Ave, they could send half their pain to others without realizing it. He lay on his back panting. The Iccaari sat up and looked into the girls eyes.
You will learn more at the meeting. Unfortunatly, the Ave girl will not be there.
He rolled his shoulders as the last of the pain faded. He took a deep breath and began to fiddle around with the fire between them. He thought of the Ave girl, being helpless in the cafe with only her will powers. He should have stayed, but that meant leaving Myst there, and if he had done that...

Myst had backed at the shriek, now pressed against the inner root system of the tree and staring back at the winged man with wide eyes, a mix of terror and shock filling her - along with some pity.
Just because she didn't have a true home didn't mean she couldn't want to run back to it.

The Iccaari saw that Myst was tensed and didn't want to be here with him.
You might as well relax Myst,
He flashed a small smile to her.
You'll be with me for a while, like it or not.
He poked a stick thoughtfully into the fire. His mind traveled to other things. He didn't know what todo with this girl. She seemed to want to do nothing. He dropped the stick in the fire and layed back on the grass. His great white wings spread out over the grass. The Iccaari let out a soft sigh and bagn to breath slowly.

Using her psionic abilities Arachna easily dispatched the Kunai, and spun around, ready for a fight. She smiled viciously at the shadow, spinning her staff around and holding it in a readily attacking stance. "Why are you doing this?" She asked politely, smiling insanely.

The Shadow stood up straight, while reaching for his falcions and unsheating them. A look of excitment could be seen in his eyes, for the challenge that's about to come.
Shadow: I'm an assassin. I only fight for a profit, whoever gives me the better deal gains my services, there is no other reason. It's nothing personal, I have just been wanting those nice robes I've been eyeing for a while.
Of course, that last comment was said in a sarcastic manner.

Myst hugged her knees and remained silent for a time, thinking.
So, she'd been snatched from her normal life without any warning. Here she was, stuck with her captor, out in the middle of who knew where. It certainly didn't seem like she'd be getting away any time soon, either. Might as well make the best of a bad situation. She had to move every few years anyway, the humans she tended to surround herself couldn't understand why she aged so incredibly slowly. This time maybe she'd get to hang around somewhere a bit longer...
She slapped herself mentally; no need to count her chickens before they hatched! After all, she'd just seen this guy kill all those people... Yet now he seemed no threat. Granted, she wasn't particularly happy about being caged in as she was... but she felt no more in danger than under usual circumstances.
Looking over to where he lay, Myst said softly, "I'm sorry."

For what?
He didn't look at the girl nor did he move. He lay still, looking up at the darkening sky. He knew how she felt. He had been kidnapped before, of course, his captors didn't make it too far with out dieing, but non-the-less. He finally turn his head toward the girl, huddled up under the tree. His deep purple eyes shining.

She shrugged, remaining where she was. "I don't know. I don't think I have much reason to be, but I felt like saying it." She paused. "You're an Iccaari, right? What's your name, anyway?"

Yes, I am of the Iccaari. My name is Ajenta.
He still looked at her.
You seem cold.

Myst shook her head, quite happy with the distance currently between them. She could take a little chill. "I'm fine."
She glanced around, and spotted her laptop. Needing something to focus on she grabbed it, flipped it open, and started it up. If nothing else, she had some games in there...

The Iccaari chuckled as she started the laptop up. Technology was something the Iccaari didn't use. He shrugged and turned his head. He looked up into the night sky. His thoughts drifted elsewhere. After a about an hour, he spoke to the girl again.
Get some rest, You'll need it.
He didn't even look her way, he just stared up at the stars.
