Mammoth nodded. He stopped meditating and removed the meat from the fire, and began wrapping it in spare hide, and then did the same to the bone knives he had made. He put the knives in his pack. He then took a piece of meat from the fire and tossed it to Arthos.
"Sounds like you've been through a lot... I hope ya understand I can't trust ya yet..." Mammoth said.
He returned to sitting with his back against the tree, going back into the state of semi-meditation.

"Mammoth."
He said, his eyes not opening and his body not moving. He was almost meditating, perhaps he was meditating. Nobody was ever sure how he rested. It was almost as if his body shut off while his brain was still working. Nobody could sneak up on him, and he was still aware, despite getting rest.
He was intrigued by this man, so much had happened, and here he was, just moments after being run through by a massive blade. When the woman he had saved finally spoke up and revealed her name, Mammoth was surprised. He didn't think someone who fancied themselves a bandit would give their name willingly. However, this also could mean that his instinct was right in thinking she may give up her morally questionable past.

Mammoth watched the woman struggle to lift the other man up, and he laughed. He knelt down and lifted the man over his shoulder, then motioned for her to follow...
Once back at the camp, he set the man down on the grass by the fire, the snow being melted near it. His jerky was dry so he packed it in hide and put it in his pack.
"Alright, well, I'm gonna get some rest. If ya got anythin' important to say, lemme know." He said, leaning against a log and closing his eyes, not sleeping, but resting.

"You okay, Luna?" Mammoth said, checking on the downed soul hunter. He held out a bandage and tossed it to her, "Wrap your ankles, it'll help."
Once the woman from earlier awoke, she jumped off the man in a fright. Mammoth couldn't figure out what the heck was going on, was she possessed too? He leaned against the tree, and finally turned to the catlike creature.
"Ya know, this ain't a funeral, play something to make us feel BETTER, not worse..." He spat out, walking away from the annoying catlike creature and past the two on the ground.
"So I assume I freed ya from your prison, whoever ya are. I think its about time we had some explanations. But, first I think its time we got by a fire and had somethin' to eat, its gonna get cold as hell before long." Mammoth said, waving his hand motioning toward the camp.
"You too you d**n cat!" He said, joking, figuring it was gonna be following them, they might as well not hate each other yet...

Mammoth chuckled as she moved toward the dying man, whom he now realized was somehow still alive. He couldn't believe that she was caring for the man who nearly killed her. But, it was not his concern, her will was her own, and who knows, perhaps they were lovers. Mammoth had done the right thing, or so he thought, only time would tell if it were the truth. So, he rose to his feet, and walked toward the treeline, to where the catlike beast was playing a tune.
"If you're gonna play, could you at least play something a little livelier?"
He put his hand on the branch she was perched on, "Next time, don't interfere. You didn't know what was goin' on, and it was not your concern." He paused, "We don't need any more death that we already got."
With that he leaned against the tree, curious to see how this whole situation would unfold.

Mammoth returned his sword to his sling, walking away from the man who obviously was consumed by his own demons.
"Rest in peace." He said, kneeling by the man and crossing his arms. He stood and turned his back, walking over to the woman he had just defended. He shook his head, he had just freed a man from his prison. There was no question the demonic power in him. Mammoth knew that somehow the powers of hell had their grip on that man, and whatever power this woman had put into his blade purged it. He knelt down by her.
"Ya okay?"

OOC: This part was planned by me and Knight, so fear not, there is no Godmodding here IC: Mammoth felt himself get hurled like a rag doll and he slammed into the ground opposite the woman, his sword still in his hand. "Ouch..." He said, pushing off the ground and watching as the man made a move at her. Mammoth tossed his blade into the air, balancing it on the palm of his hand. With a swift movement, he thrust his blade forward, sending it like a missile right at the man's midsection. Not stopping until the hilt hit his chest, the blade pierced right through him, slamming the ground behind him and pinning the man to the ground. Mammoth quickly moved foreward and put his foot on the man's chest, pulling his blade out of him...

Mammoth, rather than go for the killing blow, kicked the man square in the jaw, and then put his foot squarely on the man's chest, holding him down,
"Now... I think its about time you started talking..." He said.

Mammoth kept his eyes on the man firmly, and when he moved with his lightning fast speed, he was prepared. He lowered his shoulder and went to take out his knees, then raise his arm up, hoping to flip the main over top of him and cause him to faceplant.
Luckily, the seasoned warrior he was, Mammoth could block out sounds that were not immediately important to the battlefield, so the music was no problem for him...

As Luna fell to the ground, Mammoth picked up his sword, turning to the catlike creature behind him and pointing at it.
"Stay there!" he said, turning around and holding out the blade to the man, "The look on your face makes me wonder what she could have done to this blade..."
He stepped forward, setting the massive weapon on his shoulder.
"Come on."

"Not on your life..." Mammoth said, spitting on the ground.
He was sure Luna could handle herself, and he was quickly learning the massive power this man held. He would have to be ready for him...

Mammoth tensed, clinching his fists and stepping forward, ready to stop his advance toward the woman behind him should Luna fail to. He looked back over his shoulder to check on her, and then focused his eyes on the man in front of him.

Mammoth reached her soon after Luna. He reached down and raised up the woman to her feet,
"Come on, I got ya." He said taking her from the forest where he could fight the man in the open, if Luna didn't finish him first.
He couldn't help but shake his head and smirk, she wanted to kill him, and here he was saving her from this monstrosity. He was too kind-hearted. He wondered what she would do, but he then thought about more pressing matters. Whether she cares or not, she's a person who currently is defenseless being attacked for no reason. That cannot be allowed to happen.
Suddenly, Luna made a comment about being already dead, and Mammoth started to trust her far less. He stood up, standing between the woman behind him and the two people before him. Luna could handle herself, and he did promise her the next fight. He stuck his sword in the ground and waited. If she failed to take on this monster, he'd step in.
"I suggest you settle down before ya get hurt. Attackin' people for no reason doesn't happen on my watch!" Of course, he knew the man wouldn't settle down until they "pacified" him. So he let Luna do the dirty work, and then waited for his moment to step in.

Mammoth looked to where Pinata had pointed, and squinted as he tried to make out what was going on, standing up and taking a step forward.
"Hah! We just can't get any rest can we?" he said, joking, not caring that he was following them. However, as he was about to turn around to return to the group, he jolted his head back. The leaves rustled, the branch wobbled, and the chains from the woman glinted in the moonlight, coming into Mammoth's vision.
"Somethings wrong..." He said, pulling his sword, "I ain't about to have wasted food to help her to have this bastard kill her before she can make her choice of her path!"
He placed his helm on his head and started running toward the treeline...

Mammoth rose from his position, standing up and stretching out. He looked back down at the woman from before, she was confused. Now, it could have been she was confused why he was being so kind, or why he didn't kill her, but he thought it was further than that... That she was thinking about her past. She was deep in thought, and pulled out a gem that was no doubt one of her thefts from earlier in her life. Mammoth was surprised, not at her, but that he had assessed the situation correctly. He had his doubts, to take such a chance like that was a dangerous move, and also very unlike him. He was never very trusting unless that trust was earned. In this case, he saw himself in control, but nonetheless at any point his guard was down.
"Well..." He said, "At least now ya can be at full strength, if ya plan to try and kill me." He said, reaching down and picking up his flask.
He turned around, "Name's Mammoth by the way.
He then starting walking back to the camp.
Once he arrived there, he could see the protest on Pinata's face, and he had heard his comment about the food earlier. He grinned, took another piece of meat, as there was plenty there.
"Thanks." He said, his face turning to a more serious note, "I'm sure ya didn't like me helpin' her. But there's more goin' on here than what it seems. I don't think that's the life she wants, and I think there's a chance here to make one hell of a fighter into a honorable warrior." He said, biting into his food. "And... if not... I'll get a good fight, and kill her later."
He chuckled at Pinata, hoping the man's obvious detest for lowlifes didn't carry past the greater good that could be attained, but nonetheless he figured his comments would suffice for now until the woman made her decision. He would hate to have to kill her, and waste so much talent. But if that's what was needed, then so be it.
