He felt something he had never felt in his life before, the excitement of running with another of his kind. He picked up the pace a bit, almost challenging her to a race. He knew they were both tired but it was an opportunity he didn't know if he would ever have again.

She saw him come closer and growled, not as a threat, but just a growl.
The only thing she did was run faster.

He was enjoying the chase, the freedom. He thought of slowing down when she growled but kept his pace when he saw her speed up as well.
As they neared what looked like a settlement, he slowed down to a trot.

Tala slowed as well, stopping a few feet past him and changing back.
"ok... I think I got an idea... if anyone asks, we were traveling by horse back, and were attacked by werewolves. Managed to kill it, ate a silver pendant, but we've been stuck travelling for days. That should get us some sympathy, and hopefully some food... and if I have to... I'll cry...." she nodded and walked off to wards the town, feeling kinda... alpha-wolfish.

"Sounds good...", he said as he changed back, making sure nobody was around to see it happen... like last time. He followed a step behind her, hoping they would buy their story.

She walked quietly to the town, being cautious, and not speaking.
Once she got within seeing distance, she tried to act less nervous about being around humans and tried to seem relieved.

As they entered the town, he looked around trying to seem happy to 'come back to civilization'. He reminded himself that he had to act as human as possible. He looked around to see some humans stare at Tala as they walked past them. He glared at them as her 'human partner' ought to have. He spotted a inn or a tavern at some distance. He put one hand on her shoulder, nodded in the direction, then stepped back again, putting his hand back down.

She nodded and headed over to the inn/tavern.
Once inside she looked around and waited for the keeper to come to them.
The man's eyes widened when he saw the two of them, "what happened?" he asked.
Tala looked him over, he was an older man, hair greying. He seemed to be nice enough.
"we..." she seemed to pause to collect her thoughts, "we were out on our horses, and were attacked by a werewolf... We fought, and the monster died... but our horses ran off, and we've been stuck for days without anything to eat and nowhere to go till we found this town..." she wrapped an arm around herself, almost protectively, and paused to see if Cezar wanted to add anything to their fable.

He thought it might help to emphasize their helplessness a bit more. He put an arm around her and looked at the keeper, "We are just hoping we can get some food here. Thats all we ask. I... don't have any money to give you, it was in a pouch on our horses and well..."
He left it there hoping he wouldn't suspect anything.

The inn keeper just nodded and ushered them inside.
"d**ned werewolves, always making it hard for honest folk." he sighed, leading them over to a table.
"well don't worry about it anymore. you're safe here, we've got a good defense against werewolves. now just sit, I'll go get something for you two." he nodded to them before leaving.
Tala smiled at him, and waited for him to leave before whispering to Cezar, "... wow... it worked..."

Cezar wasn't smiling. "You are very convincing. I would have a hard time alone... Thank you." He lowered his voice to a whisper, "I am a bit concerned about the defense they are talking about. They seem to be on alert here, so lets not give them a reason to suspect us."

"yeah." she nodded, "We should try to leave as soon as we can. Once we're well fed and rested enough, we have to leave. Who knows when they may catch on..." she said quietly.

"Yeah, I agree...", he stopped speaking as the innkeeper walked towards them with two plates with a pile of food on it. He tried hard not to stare at the food.
"Thank you very much mister. We will be forever in your debt...", he said smiling as he handed them a plate each. He motioned to a free table near the counter and walked towards it.

Tala nodded as well, trying not to drool.
Once she could eat, she had to force herself to go slowly, not snail slow, but slow enough not to freak anyone out.
She had been so hungry, she didn't even care what she was eating, just that it was there, and it was for them!

Cezar was looking down at his plate enjoying his food. He looked up from his plate to glance at Tala for an instance. She was in the same state.
His eyes moved over her shoulder, to a man walking towards them. By his walk, he could tell he was drunk. He hoped he wouldn't stop and just walk by. But he did...
"Hello there... strangeeeers!" He was a bulky man, balding. He was standing next to their table now. His eyes moved to Tala now. "Ohh, hello there miss. Care to join me for a drink?" Even though Cezar was disgusted by this human's actions, he restrained himself. He also hoped Tala wouldn't react aggressively or else they would be in big trouble.
