(uh... can Evaan like fire shots to protect Amyee? Not like a sheild, but as support?)

(Not to step on toes, but shouldn't your post go in the discussion thread?)
Yarahlzaak noticed that something caught his foe's attention. His allies appeared to be in mortal danger. As he began to whistle a cheerful tune, forget all of them, and head towards the objective, it occured to him that should he lose his bait, he'd have to actually hunt down that winged demon. He gave an annoyed sigh. He knew he'd have to help her out of the creature's grasp...but nobody said she'd have to be in one piece to be bait. Yarahlzaak located a safe place to observe his enemies and hid there, while focusing his attention on the beast in the muck. Just what was that thing? He attempted to visualize its sillouhette (sp?) through his senses.

(Yes and yes. That's what I expected Evaan's role to be, given his situation. And I ask kindly if you have a question but not a an RP post, bring it up in the discussion thread, I do check it just for that reason.)
Yarahlzaak's probe never reached the creature. He felt a sudden resistance, and his senses seemed to scatter and twist away. It only a lasted for an instant, and when it passed, he could perceive his surroundings as clearly as ever. As such, he was instantly aware of the figure now standing directly behind him, a gaunt, skeletal figure. Grey, ragged flesh was stretched over it's bones, a tattered loin cloth and a blank, featureless wooden mask it's only garb. A wet gurgling sound bubbled from it's throat as it reached out a long fingered hand, and Yarahlzaak's senses went wild again as the creature's outline blurred.
Baalah had been a step away from her immediate objective, getting out of the rain, when the ambush was sprung. She turned at the sound of sudden battle, her guns already in hand as she spun. She caught a glimpse of something slimy right by Amyee, several dark shapes surrounding Nadia, and a blurred figure reaching for Yarahlzaak. The the world went spinning as the door behind her exploded outwards, sending her flying face first into the mud and her weapons skidding over the slick ground. She had barely gotten to her elbows when thick fingers closed on the back of her head, and shoved her face into the muck and held it down. The sound of metal scrapping across metal was loud coming from right behind her.

Swift as a lion lurching on it's prey, Amyee whipped out her scythe and began to swing it almost every which direction. To an eye untrained in scythe mastery, she was acting like a mad man. To anyone who was, they could tell that the technique she was using at that moment was actually using skill, and not flailing everywhere.
Evaan saw the creature rise from the ground, and took the shot. He couldn't tell from that high or not if the hit did any good, but he kept firing, hoping to keep his loved one safe.

The creature actually startled Yarahlzaak and, almost reflexively, he attempted to push everything near him away with his telekinesis. He performed the technique before, it was similar to a non-flamable explosion. He did not know whather he succeeded or not, as never before had his senses failed him as they were now.

The muddy vines parted under the scythe blade, but more flowed and whipped about to replace those that had been severed, until the first round blew wetly through the creature's body. It staggered under the shots, it's dripping, vaguely human form falling back into the muck it had been hiding in. In seconds, it was a puddle of mud again.
The creature was tossed like a leaf in a windstorm, along with everything else that was not firmly rooted in the ground. It had only flown a few feet though, when it's movement slowed, and Yarahlzaak experienced that odd blurring effect a second before the creature vanished from his senses, to reappear suddenly above him, hanging in a tree.
Baalah felt the shift in weight on her, and knew what was coming. She twisted hard, not really expecting to get loose, just to change the point where the blade was about to enter her body. The metal tore through the skin and muscle of her shoulder, just missing her heart by her actions. And then her attacker screamed in pain as the wound split his own back as Baalah transfered the injury through the grip he held on the back of her head. She pushed up hard, throwing her head back, and felt her horns hit.

Amyee turned towards the attacker that seemed to be crippled. In a rage, she began swinging her scythe and dismembering EVERYTHING that she could see. Evaan kept the shots going, and eventually the monster that attacked was a pile of mud.

"If I can't focus my powers on it..."he thought to himself. "Then I'll let my environment do the talking!" He attempted the same "debris twister" from before, snagging branches from trees and severed vines, hoping to knock he beast away out of luck, that he'd later claim as skill. That monster was seriously getting on his nerves, after all. How dare it dull his magnificent powers, if only for a brief time!

The puddle bubbled a few final times, and was still. The rain fell on it's surface, leaving tiny spots that quickly washed away. It was just a puddle of mud and butchered plant life now, calm and nonthreatening. A sharp crack like a gun shot brought Amyee's attention around just as a shape ripped free of a nearby tree. A bolt of lightning briefly gave her a clear view of the creature, a humanoid shape made entirely it seemed of wood, it's front and face coated with thick bark. A hole was left in the tree it had ripped itself out of. It shambled forward quickly, raising a club like arm as it advanced on Amyee.
The whirlwind of debris caught the masked creature, battering and bruising it before finally ripping it free from the tree. As it fell, it's outline blurred, and for a moment Yarahlzaak could sense two of the creature, yet neither one of them seemed to have any real substance. It was like seeing a memory almost. One of the versions continued it's fall, landing broken and twisted on the ground. The other seemed to fade away, and Yarahlzaak felt a kind of hole, a spot were the creature had been that lead into a total, terrible vast infinity... ...the masked creature jumped quickly aside as the debris twister flew at it, catching a branch and swinging to the ground. It landed hard and stumbled, coming to rest on a knee, it's chest rising and falling rapidly as it struggled to pull breath.
The weight fell off Baalah and she scrambled up, turning to face her attacker. A twisted, disfigured...thing lay in the mud a few feet from her. Grossly bulging muscles throbbed and wrapped around exposed bone and tendon, the beast had no skin to speak of. It's face was a terrible visage to behold, lidless eyes stared widely, an open hole where the nose should have been leaked an oily substance down over stained and crooked teeth. Embedded in it's exposed muscles were sharp and jagged bits of metal, forming cruel hooks, sword like blades, spots of armor, and twisting spikes. Blood was running freely down it's back and side from the wound Baalah had transfered to it, but the spots where her horns had struck it's chest were merely bruises.

"Oh hell no..." Evaan said, now landing on a nearby hill, adjusting his sights, then shooting at the creature.
Amyee took a couple steps back, she didnt know what the monster had in store for her.

Yarahlzaak let go of most of the debris but kept a particularly large rock and levitated it above the creature that remained. He then began bashing the stone into the creature until its head exploded. This creature infuriated him.

The rounds hit the wood monster with muffled thumps, sinking into the tough material with little seeming effect. It rushed at Amyee, swinging it's heavy fist in a wide arc at her head.
Blur...the masked creature rolled, ducking and dodging the stone. This time, Yarahlzaak felt he had almost tracked the creature's motion during the odd blurring. He still had the memory of smashing the thing's head to pulp though, even though it was clearly unharmed. It was badly winded though, tired and stumbling, as if it had been running for hours or days on end. Yarahlzaak had the oddest sense that the blurrings were movement not through space, but time...
The skinless beast started to push itself up, and Baalah dove for her guns, coming up in a roll to her feet with both weapons ready. Each one kicked once as she fired, and twin holes appeared in the beast's chest and face, perfect killing shots...only it didn't die. It staggered, clutching at the wounds and howling, but it came still forward. She backed up, and opened fire again, putting rounds through the beast's neck and mouth, knocking it to it's knees but still moving. She cursed, even she couldn't have survived injuries like that. It took another four rounds to put the thing face down in the mud, and even then, it kicked and thrashed, refusing to die.

Yarahlzaak wanted badly to kill this thing. Anything that was this stubborn, stubborn enough to deny him the right to kill it, deserved pain. Yarahlzaak wanted badly to deliver this pain, yet no matter how often he stuck the beast, he just couldn't quite kill it. His frustration with the beast was growing wildly. (wtf, Prince of Persia anyone? )

(sorry I've been absent ) Nadia jumped at the sight of the creepy critters. They clicked at her angrily as she landed in another crouch and flipped her ears towards the nearest one, smashing it into a tree. With a giggle, she dashed back into the forest hoping the bugs would follow her. One jumped at her as she passed and with stunning accuracy, she gored her nails deep into its shell, injecting her lethal poison into its bloodstream.

(Well, I wanted creatures that would be hard to put down, but not really all that dangerous for this fight, and he hasn't even come close to hitting Yara. And don't worry, he's just about out of sand)
The masked creature backed away, stumbling slightly as it moved. It's breath steamed heavily around the edges of it's mask with each ragged breath it let out.
The bug beast practically squeaked as it was pierced, surprise obvious even on it's bug eyed face. Then it reared it's head back, and with a deep rattling gurgle, spat a thick wad of sticky goo on Nadia's arm. A heavy strand of the substance ran back to the creature's mouth, and even in the rain, it dried nearly instantly. The light went out of the creature's eyes as the poison did it's work, but the snare was already tightened. As the rest of the bugs closed in, the corpse was like a weight stuck to Nadia, holding her arm down and slowing her.
