It was a close call for Baalah, the backpack containing the chute was a dark brown and she only managed to keep track of it against the dark night during flashes of lightning. Even when she had caught the d**n thing, trying to fumble it into position in the rain and wind while falling towards an ever closer ground was no easy task. She yanked the cord as soon as it was on, pulling the release right out of the pack, but the chute did deploy. She hit the ground not very long after that, and not too soft either, though the rain had turned the dirt into a nice, squishy mud that probably saved her from a broken leg, leaving her to deal with a merely sprained ankle.
The area they had landed in was covered in patches by thick groves of tree, criss-crossed by rapid rivers and streams. It was hilly, and the ground was slick with mud and loose stones. It was a miserable place to be out in the rain.
Baalah reluctantly put her finger to her ear and tapped the comm twice, turning the tiny water proofed, shock resistant radio device on. " Anyone see that stupid house we're suppose to be looking for?" she asked, not out of any real desire to complete the mission, but because any shelter would be better then standing in the rain.

Evaan was relieved when he saw Amyee's wings flapping once hard before she hit the ground. Then, he heard a splash, and looked through his sights at the river. Another demon hit the water near him. He stepped back into the brush behind him, to keep hidden until he sought a moment to put his plan into action.

Yarahlzaak stopped just short of ground-level and took off his chute. He then responded to the comm. "I do not detect our objective nearby. Guess I'll have to search further, after all, I can't leave it to a couple of females..." He extands the reach of his senses as he begins floating forward in one direction. He loved missons where he could go the whole time without touching a single thing with his body. It was his way of showing off his powers.

Baalah growled slightly. " One of these days, I am going to tear your tongue out Yara, and it will be slow." She started up the nearest hill, wincing as her ankle throbbed at every slip in the thick mud oozing down the incline.
It was not a tall hill, but it was enough to see over some of the clusters of trees, enough to make out the outline of an object clearly not natural, but built by hands. It was mostly hidden by hill and tree, but Baalah could see part of the house they were looking for sticking out in the open.
" Found it," she announced into her comm. " It's a bit...northwest of...uh..." she glared at the tiny GPS watch on her wrist. She hated the stupid device, it never really worked right in the field, and always gave her odd readings. " f**k it, it's near a big f**king hill with a really tall tree on the very top, on the west side of the river."

Yarahlzaak found the location just as she finished describing it. He then changed direction slightly and levitated towards Balaah's location, ending just above and infront of her. "Yes. That must be it. Looks like you're not as dimwitted as most of your gender and breed." he then descends down the hill slowly, hovering a foot and a half off of the ground. After all, he didn't want to get mud on his good clothes. He was keeping a mental eye out for any other lifeforms in the area, and ensuring that he did not stray to far from Balaah, for should his telekinesis fail, she'd make an excelent shield, what with her being much more massive than he. He then gave a small chuckle to himself, assuring himself that his telekinesis never failed.

With another, louder growl, Baalah quickly caught up with Yarahlzaak, refusing to even seem like she was following after him. She had found the place after all, and she would lead. Ignoring the pain in her ankle, she moved on ahead, giving her guns a quick check.
The house turned out to be more of a mansion as they rounded the side of the hill. It was a sprawling, multi-leveled structure that climbed half way up the hill, and probably even went into the earthen hump. A dark, rusted iron fence surrounded the compound. It was dark, Baalah couldn't see any lights on, but then again, she figured she could probably only see a fourth of the windows, and that probably accounted for less than a tenth the total rooms. " You want to get down and find some cover before someone sees you?" she snapped at Yarahlzaak, annoyed with his hovering about. She suspected he only did it around others because he was ashamed of being so d**n short. As well he should be, being the scrawny little excuse for a demon he was.

Nadia sat on the shore of the river and rung her ears dry. She could hear the Baalah and Yarah fighting from a distance. Knowing exactly where Amyee was, as well as the strange demon who had hid in the bushes, she jumped to her feet.
"Your friend's over here, bird girl," she shouted loudly in a catty voice, pointing towards the bush and swinging her ears over her shoulder. She took off running towards the other two. She circled around them and jumped into a tree, waiting for them to walk underneath her.
"You guys bickering already?" she said, jumping off the branch and landing in crouch beside Baalah, staring at the mansion.

Yarahlzaak only regarded the rabbit girl for a moment, and then floated behind a nearby tree. He'd not press his body against mud. He'd leave that to the insects. Just like he'd let those same insects do most of the fighting... It was then that the other demon caught his attention. His collar triggered and he began to leave the area. "It seems I must take care of another inferior being." he said as he left towards Evaan. The controller distinctly instructed them to take care of any other demonic presence...so that's what he'd do.

Amyee only looked at the hill. She knew from the orders given by smith, that if she saw Evaan, it would certainly mean death for him. She turned, and hustled to the rest of the group, thinking to herself what was going, where they were, and what they are going for. She thought if Evaan knew what was going on, he would have a better time getting her out of there.
no she thought, seeing Yara going directly towards Evaan. She knew he would make the right choice.
(OOC: How about I have an anti-collar device only good for five uses, then it explodes? I could use it like a sniper round, hit Yara first, then hit Amyee, and the rest. Then we can have one left for a possible dramatic moment later?)

(Sorry, but the collars are part of the story progression, they stay. I do have story arcs for later on, assuming this lasts, that do involve the demons getting free. If and when that times come, Evaan could be the plot device used to free the others, but for now, I like the idea of him having to be a helper from a distance, doing his best to make sure his wife stays alive while at the same time, he can't actually meet any of the them face to face without them trying to capture or kill him. This is not going to be a very happy RP for the most part, emotional suffering will be a key element.)
" What's it to you?" Baalah snapped at Nadia, shooting her an annoyed look, which was quickly turned towards Yarahlzaak when he started floating away. "Hey! Mission taking place this way!" she pointed towards the mansion. " Oh f**k it, probably better off without him anyway." she growled and started towards the house. " Come on," she waved for Nadia and Amyee to follow. The iron fence was no problem at a mere eight feet tall, she vaulted it easily enough and continued on.

"Come on out, vermin. I know you're out here somewhere....kekeke..." Yarahlzaak was a sight to behold. Standing with his arms crossed over him like a mummy a foot and a half in the air. He did not blink nor turn his head, his senses were all he needed to find his foe. It was odd though, never before was there a chain connecting his target to another entity. He felt that this chain did not reflect visible light, nor was it tangible at this time, however, he was dying to know what would happen should one end of the chain go cold. Would the other carry their dead burden like a prisoner's weight? He reasoned that there was one way to find out. Actually, he could just ask, but what would the fun in that be? No snapping tendines? No cracking bones? No rupturing organs? Bah! Yarahlzaak prefered that his art was colored in the red of others' blood and that his canvas be a dull blue gray, the color of everyone's misery. He grinned, revealing a frightening display of teeth. As if the world responded to this terrifying monster, lightning cracked in the air.

(oh, you will be suprised to see what happens when one dies. Although, the chain cannot be broken when one of them diseases.Goes pretty deep.)
Evaan stepped back, and had his rifle pointed straight at the approaching demon's chest. One of his rounds would surely send the pest flying back, if it didn't pierce him.
(I dont want to hear "TELEKENISIS BLOX BULLETSSZ")
Amyee still knew what would happen. Either way Evaan had to run.

Yarahlzaak finally noticed his prey. He was using human weaponry, but Yarahlzaak could see precisely where he was aiming. He repidly began picking up mud and debris and spun them around him like a spinning shroud; a small tornado of earth. He knew he was not visible now and ascended higher in the air, in case a shot got through. At this distance, it would be very difficult to actually close in on his foe. Out in the open, he would fail. In the closed-in quarters of the base, however, he would have the advantage. He dropped all debris at once and hastilly floated behind cover. An untrained eye might think he'd disappeared. "Go ahead, chase me." he sent to him, his grin still present. Before leaving telepathy range, he sent a brief flash of a false scene of Aymee dying by his hand. If he truly was linked to her, perhaps there was compassion between them, which would make this much more fun... (And no, telekinesis does not block bullets. )

(thank god)
Evaan lowered his weapon, spread his wings, and lurched high into the clouds. Once at a safe altitude, he lowered his weapon and as steadily as wings could, hovered, aiming down at the scene below him.
Amyee saw his wings, and she was urged to join him, but her collar told her not to. With Evaan so close, she wanted even more to rip this thing off her neck and be free again.

Baalah reached the mansion and began searching for a way in. She didn't care anymore what the others were doing, she sick of being rained on and was going to get inside if she had to tear down a wall to do it.
Busy as she was fighting with her feelings and the commands of the collar, Amyee wasn't aware of the dark shape oozing up out of the mud until the slimy rope like vines whipped around her, dragging her back as they snaked around to hold her.
At the same time, several bulky, squat, insectile figures bounded out of a nearby grove of trees and rushed at Nadia, keening in a rapid wailing as they reached for her with long, spindly arms.
