Gaia trotted down the path towards the building Zyphan had pointed to. She was moving rather quickly, but she kept stumbling along the way. It seemed she was just a big klutz. When she finally got to the building, she stopped for a second to catch her breath, then walked up to the door. With a loud, hollow thud, she knocked a few times. The sound echoed through the building it seemed. "I don't think anyone's home..." she muttered, more to herself than to anyone else.

Lucifel walked past Gaia pushing the door wide open."No one is home child it is abandoned..." she mumbled walking right up the stairs"Come along we need to find places to rest."She walked up the stairs steedily not speaking or waiting for the others.
((I'm sorry for the delay.))

Gaia stuck her tongue out at Lucifel. "I'm not a child!" She pouted for a moment, then realized she was being ignored and left behind. She ran up the stairs after Lucifel. Shouting down the stairs, she called for the others to follow.
At the top, she surveyed the contents of the rooms. It seemed there were five rooms up there, but only two of them still had working doors. They all had old broken furniture, and what remained of the mattresses on the broken beds was far from fit to sleep on. "Wow, what happened here? It looks like someone went crazy with an entropy spell!"

Lucifel grinned, "Alot can happen in times like these Gaia." She walked towards the window and sat in its frame her wings sagging and now hanging more over her. She wasnt about to tell anyone what her quest was for why she still lingered with this misfit group. She pulled a pendant out of her right boot the stone was blood red and she twisted it in her fingers sighing.

Excine stood in the street for some time, mouth partially opened and a hand raised in the beginning of a gesture that didn't quite make it through completion. "W... wait a moment..." He muttered, despite the fact only the shadows of the fellows he had come across were still visable. With a humiliated frown he slumped his shoulders and followed in their wake. Ideally he would have gone back to his isolated hovel, but the gates had been barred with the recent attack. He was stuck in the town and that was a concept that frightened the man.
He ducked into the now occupied building, brushing some dust off the top of his head as it crumbled into his hair. "My apologies..." Excine spoke with a quiet discomfort. "Would it be trouble to take up a place here to sleep as well?"

Gaia looked towards Excine. She smiled broadly, and her sky blue eyes seemed to twinkle with the stars of ages long past. The age before the great sundering to be exact. "Of course you can come in! We found this place just so we could have a place to stay where we wouldn't need to worry about anyone not being allowed in. Right Lucifel?" She flipped her hair as she looked over at Lucifel; then she winked at her.

He nodded solemnly and took a seat as far from the others as he could manage with his size and the limited space. He pulled up his knees and rested his wrists on them, bowing his head. "Thank you for your hospitality." Not that the building really belonged to any of them. Granted it wasn't as if he had some sort of legal claim to his modest abode. He felt uncomfortable. Not only was he confined with other living things, he was confined with living things of female persuasion. It wasn't exactly charted territory for dear Excine. As a result, he buried his face into the folds of a hideously crude cloak draped over his arms.

Lucifel rose to her feet and nodded towards Gaia. "How about I go down and get some food before the marketers close up," she said as she clenched the pendant in her hand tightly leaving her jacket on the window frame to state her claim thats where she wanted to reside when she returned."Gaia you want some fruit, cheese, and maybe some bread?" She walked over to Excine and laid her hand on his shoulder mummering to him"Just because I look like a female doesnt mean thats all I am ease up you are safe tonight." She turned around facing Gaia clapping her hands together the pendant created a spark lightly makng the room glow when a odd warmth."So what should I get for you Excine, will you eat...wait do you eat?" Lucifel was trying her hardest to come off nice and helpful but it really wasnt her strong suit. Feathers from her wings dropped around her and she grunted picking them up and trying to maintain.

The man's head rose at the mention of food. "Ah, madame..." Excine shook his head. "It wouldn't be right of me to allow such a thing. I can gather food. I'm fairly adept with such matters." With some difficulty he got back to his feet, bowing his head and rounding his shoulders as to not smack his forehead against some low hanging beam. "I couldn't allow myself to leave you to serve me."

Lucifel grabbed Excine's shoulder to stop him,"Listen call it a way for making up attacking you alright? I have to go anyways and we shouldnt leave Gaia alone, you know how much trouble she can get into," Lucifel winked pushing her way past Excine with ease."Just relax and watch her for me ok? I'd never hear the end of it if something happened, plus you can handle the demons and such better than me, I might as well blow us all to bits the way I've been going." She walked down the stairs before he could protest her feathers dropping as she went down.

Excine rubbed at his shoulder, as if nursing it. "I... suppose." He wasn't so fond of the idea, he would like to be useful, at least. The man retreated to his previous spot, folding into his previous position, but as a modification lifted his eyes to watch the blue-haired youth. "Is she right?" He inquired. "Do you really get yourself into too much trouble?"

Gaia chuckled a bit. "I don't get myself into trouble, but lately trouble seems to be following me. I think it has something to do with that old relic that was found, and maybe something to do with this..." She drew Lasan's dagger from its sheathe. It was made of a black metal, and it seemed to glow with a faint black light. Runes covered the sides of the blade. It was clearly the blade of a demon. "I'm trying to find the person who this belongs to. It didn't start glowing until for a few days ago though. Any idea what it could mean?"

Excine frowned, adjusting his body so he was resting on his knees before reaching out for the artifact. His brows knit in concentration and he quickly withdrew the appendage. "The characters speak to me..." He spoke quietly. "But I do not understand them." The man rested his fingers against his chin, still examining the knife from his distance. "What language is it? Do you know that?"

Gaia looked at the symbols on the blade. She pointed to one about a third of the way up from the base. "This one means conflict. Lasan knew what the rest said, but that's the only one I know. I think it's one of the ancient languages of demons, but I can't be sure. I know that Amir never knew how to read this, and Lasan would never teach him even if Amir pestered him."

Excine nodded a bit. "I can feel that its aimed for demons... however I'm not of much more use than that. I wish I could be more more help." He looked disheartened; it was one of those scenarios one can sense the answer somewhere in their mind, but with an inability to navigate it. "It would make sense that our dark kindred would be attracted to it. Its an enchanted artifact; the magic in it is not difficult to sniff out."
