A blue-haired girl walked along the dusty path beside a river of light. Her blue eyes sparkled in the light from the river, and her skin of brown and green undertones seemed to glow from within. Her hand was on the hilt of her small sword, and her baggy blue vest was blowing in the soft breeze. She heard a sound from behind her and stopped, spinning on her heels. She stumbled and fell, landing with a plop. Deciding it would be best to not try to stand up again, she looked around. "Hello? Is someone there? Anyone?"

((well....i'm gonna go ahead and use zyphan for this...here goes!!))
She had been sitting quietly in a tree, wathcing the passing girl when she slipped on some wet moss and tumbled to the ground amid a flurry of feather and flower. Luckily, the girl landed in a thick bush filled with fragrant blossoms, so she was uninjured.
She stood, and saw the startled girl watching her. A question? Oh... "Um...Hi. I'm Zyphan. I didn't mean to startle you..." The pheonix didn't really know what to say, so she just stood there awkwardly, brushing off debri.

The blue-haired girl stood up slowly, as if her legs weren't quite strong enough to hold her up. She giggled a bit at the sight of a phoenix that just fell out of a tree. "I'm Gaia! Nice to meet you." Gaia bowed slightly to Zyphan. She seemed to be of east Asian descent, and, aside from the vest, her clothing seemed to be an old school uniform. The skirt was longer than usual though, as it went just below her knees. "What brings you out this way? Did you hear about that relic that some people found too?"

Zyphan wasn't paying much attention, so it took her a few seconds to process the fact that she was asked a question. "....Relic?.....Um...sure. I was actually just flying around, and saw you down here, so I came down to follow you....Are you going to this 'relic' thingy?"

Gaia's eyes went wide. "You mean you haven't heard of the relic?! It was dug up a few months ago, and they just found out that it has some rather impressive powers. Something about granting wishes. I'm not sure if that's true, but I'm looking for some people that might be drawn to its location because of its power. How could you not have heard about it? Everyones talking about it! Well...everyone near where I live anyway." She looked around to see if anything was nearby, but she just saw the river of light stretching onward. "Hey, why don't you come with me? There's a town that shouldn't be too far down the river, and the river is the safest way to travel."

"Well...." Zyphan scratched her head, thinking for a moment. "Yeah...I guess I could come with you. I didn't have anything else planned for today, nor the next few days, actually." She nodded, and folded her wings neatly behind her. "Why is it so special, the ability of this relic to grant wishes or whatever?"

"Well think about it. If you could have whatever you wanted right away, and have every wish granted, wouldn't you want to at least check it out? Apparently some angels and demons are even after it, so it might be stronger than even their magic! Of course, that could just cause some fighting, but that's nothing new here." Gaia started walking along the river again, her hair blowing softly in the breeze.

Zyphan nodded, agreeing with Gaia's words on having anything. "Yes, that would be great to have whatever I wanted...." She hopped up into a nearby tree, and began flitting from branch to branch above the girl. "How many other angels or demons do you think are after this...relic?"

Partially mesmerized by Zyphan's movements, Gaia walked along the river quietly. She almost fell over again when Zyphan asked her a question. "Um...I don't know. Probably a lot, especially if they all believe the rumors. I hope we don't have to fight many of them. My fathers taught me how to fight, but I'm not very good..." She looked down at the river, her eyes downcast in sadness, as her voice trailed off.

Lucifel stood on the other side of the river. In the moonlight her hair shined brightly, impossible for the two across the river not to see. She stood across from the pair listening to there conversation of the relic. One soon asked how many demons and angels would be looking for it. At that moment Lucifel felt the need to speak up. "Hello there!" Lucifel waved at the females. She waved her hand over the water without even a mutter of words and began crossing over towards the two. Her coat danced across the river of light. Moments later Lucifel reached the two young females and stood before them."I wont hurt you so please dont expose your weapon." Lucifel said cool calm and collectively. "Cant kill someone without knowing their name," she said laughing. "My name is Lucifel and if you couldnt take guess, I'm an Angel.

((since when did rivers of light have water in them? >.> ))
Gaia's eyes went wide as the river of light seemed to stop moving on the surface. Looking up, she saw a white figure heading towards her. She backed away from the figure, and stared intently at it. When the figure reached the shore, Gaia stared at her and blinked a few times. "Um... kill someone? You don't sound like any angel I've ever met...then again, I've only met one and he was only half angel... I'm Gaia." She bowed towards Lucifel.

((sorry about the river water thing. It wasnt what I typed but I fixed it so its right. Sorry))
Lucifel simple smiled, "Nice to meet you Gaia. As for the comment of Angels, well my dear little child I've been walking the earths seeking things you only now know of. As for who will be seeking the relic. I would say every demon every Angel and anyone who feels power will seek out this relic." She then turned her attention to Zyphan a Pheonix none the less." Good or Evil? Then again you could be nuetural." she said with a smirk on her face takening in the two children standing infront of her. "Since we are traveling to the same place it would be safer to travel in a group."

"Well, I hope you're right about every angel and every demon. I'm not looking for the relic, but the relic could draw in what I am looking for. I'm trying to find my fathers. One's a half angel named Amir; the other's a half demon named Lasan. Have you seen them?" Gaia looked at Lucifel with a mixture of hope for a yes with an expectation of a no.

"Yes, I actually have seen them in my life time. I did not know that Amir had a child, let alone with a Demon. I am unfamilar with the demon's circle of friends. Since we are all heading in the same direction I think it would be best to travel together."

"Well, technically I'm not their child. They're just the ones that raised me. It's hard for two guys to have a kid you know... But they've been together for a long time. I guess if you knew Amir before then, you wouldn't know where I could find them now..." Gaia tried to fake a smile...and failed badly. Her eyes gave away everything about how she felt about Amir and Lasan. "But let's not waste any more time. Shall we go?" She started to walk alongside the river of light again. "It'll be dark soon, so this river will be the only safe place to travel for a while" she said as the last visible part of the sun sank beyond the horizon.
