*Naurwen smirked slightly, strapping on her belt with her sword safely secured to it. She grabbed her bow and quiver, just as the orcs came into view. She nodded to Hart before fitting an arrow. As soon as the first ugly head was within range, Naurwen let the arrow fly, striking the beast between the eyes. She immediately had another arrow ready... and another...*

Artos stopped Rhovan far enough away from camp to not be seen, and got off. He didn't want to leave them, so he decided to wait. But he wasn't completely stupid, at the first sign of endangerment on his part, he would get back on Rhovan and ride away.

Hart rolled his eyes and watched as Naurwen took out one Orc after another.
'Now that's not fair! You're getting all the kills!' Hart mock-whined. He twirled his knife idly in his fingers, waiting for one of the beasts to get close enough for him to actually do some damage. Finally, a minute or so later, the bulk of the Orcs' force came and Naurwen couldn't keep up with all of them. So, Hart quickly got into position for close combat went merrily about his work.

*Naurwen laughed a little at Hart before exchanging her bow for her sword. As soon as the orcs were upon her, Naurwen was slaying all that stood in her way. She barely managed to dodge a few blows since she was quite outnumbered, and she wound up with an occaisional cut, scrape, or bruise. However, she focused only on killing the foul creatures, her anger toward the destruction of Artos and Hart's village slowly rising to the surface. She barely noticed that someone else was slaying the orcs besides her and Hart.*

Liödaìn yelled to Liya over the orcs, " Liya watch out!" But the warning was given to late as she fell from her steed. The horse trotted away in fear from the battle and stood quivering in fear.
Liya jumped up from the ground but had to immediatly drop back down when an orc rushed at her. She pivoted and swinging her axe into a graceful arc, cleanly whiped the orc's head off. Liödaìn jumped from her place right unto a pair of orcs and stabbed them. She stood back to back with Liya as they fought.
But as they were surronded, they grabbed each of them, and tossed them where the others were fighting. Liödaìn grunted as her back slammed against a thick tree and Liya crashed into a lad. She jumped up and helped him up before grabbing her axe. "Sorry to barge in like this but....." She stopped speaking as began to kill as many orcs as she could.

Artos paced around in circles, Naurwen and Hart could take care of a few orcs, but he never got to find out how many there were, so how long would they take? What if there were too many for them? "Stop thinking like that," he said to himself," they'll be fine."

Hart yelped and squeezed his eyes shut as he was knocked to the ground, fully expecting to be decapitated soon. But he threw his knife up anyway in a messy parry against any blow that might come. However, none did. He was promptly dragged to his feet where he found himself looking at the back of a maiden, apologizing over her shoulder before beginning to slay the oncoming Orcs. Hart hadn't time to wonder as there was the bright flash of light reflecting off metal as a blade came streaking towards his head. Whether by luck or pure skill (Hart liked to believe the latter.) he managed to duck aside, receiving only a gash on the shoulder. It's better than having no head, he thought, jabbing his knife into the Orc's arm. his knife flashed as it slid across the beast's throat and he let it slump to the ground. he turned lightly and saw that there were no more. Hart looked around, stunned. 'That was quite easy,' he said. hart would have grinned had he not been so surprised at how quickly the Orcs had been taken care of. 'Shall we go get Artos?' he glanced at Naurwen, then suddenly remembered the help they had received. 'Oh, and I suppose we owe you two a thanks... whoever you may be..' he turned to the two maidens.

Liödaìn bowed, "No need for thanks. We were more than happy to help out." Liya adjusted her light, gauzy clothes saying, "Aye. We'er always more than obliged to hunt down and kill a few orcs."
She pointed at her self and then Liödaìn, "I am Meril Tiualliya, but everyone calls me Liya. This is Liödaìn Cûran."

*Naurwen nodded to both women, a slight smile on her lips.* "Naurwen i eneth nín." *She looked to Hart.* "I'll go after Artos... He will be worried about us. You should stay here with the camp." *With that said, Naurwen took off at a run to go find Artos. He wasn't far off, standing with Rhovan.* "Ai! There you are! Are you all right?"

Artos smiled as Naurwen came closer, "yes I'm perfectly fine. How are you and Hart? are you both ok?" He looked slightly concerned, yet confident that both made it through the battle ok.

'Fine leave me here,' Hart muttered and kciked at the dirt with his heel. He suddenly remebered the two Elves and his manners, 'Oh, by the way, I am called Hart, ' he bowed and flourished his scarlet cape flamboyantly. 'It is a pleasure to meet both of you.' Hart wasn't trying to layer on the charm, it just came naturally. He grinned and propped himself up against a tree. 'So, what brings you two lovely ladies here? I mean the Orcs, obviously, but we don't often see Elves about.'

"Are you both ok?"
"I've only got a few cuts and bruises... Hart was acting fine when I left but I didn't get the chance to look at him closely. I left him there with two other women of my kind but I want to get back to the camp as quickly as possible. Ride Rhovan again. We can talk when we're back with Hart." *She gave him a smile before setting off toward the camp again. When she arrived, she caught Hart talking with the two elves... Artos was right behind her.* "Forgive me for interrupting, but I want to make sure everyone is all right. No one is injured are they?"

Artos got off Rhovan once he reached the camp. He listened to them, and watched as Naurwen made sure Hart was ok. "So how was the battle?" he asked curiously.

'Huh?' Hart looked at Naurwen, interrupting himself and his conversation with Liya and Liodain. 'Oh, no, I'm fine, thanks. Nothing I can't take care of at any rate,' he shrugged inconspicuously so his cape fell over the gash in his shoulder before grinning at Naurwen and Artos. 'Oh, it was hardly a battle, Artos, a mere skirmish is more like it. Other than that, how does it look like it went?' Hart gestured to the Orc corpses strewn about randomly.

*Naurwen stared at Hart for a moment, not quite certain he was telling the truth. However, she decided that it couldn't be too bad if he was acting so normal. She would have a good look at him soon enough... She turned from him with a sigh and set about dragging orc corpses out of the camp so she could pile them and burn them.* "Let's move up the river a little after this place is cleaned up... I can't stand their stench... And after everyone's rested, we'll discuss further plans."
