The dragonlike creatures shrieked and growled in anticipation of the fight. They looked like much smaller versions of sabre, but with brownish scales and a more primal look to them. In human lands they were known for their dragonlike qualities, but lack of the usual abilities like intelligence, breathing fire, or even the strength of a true dragon. Sabre put on a quick burst of speed, gaining a bit of altitude before diving down allowing Dante a clean shot with his lance that was taken to devastating effect. The lance went down through the wyvern's neck before Dante ripped it out on the pass, nearly severing it's head at the neck. Sabre came around for another pass but was stopped short by the extended lance of another "charging" wyvern rider. Sabre dodged to the side and engulphed the things head in a column of emerald fire. Dante's shoulder was clipped as another Wyvern clawed him on a fly over. He raised his lance and the thing started spilling it's guts on the way to the ground. Another one had gotten behind the duo, putting on a burst of speed so it's rider could stick his lance into one of the two. Sabre got some height on them and suddenly stopped in the air as the two sped past. Sabre managed to tail whip the man off of his seat as the ascending wyvern was speared by Dante's deadly lance. The last one began flying away, wanting only to get his egg and leave. He made a good run, getting a third of the way there before feeling himself and his dead partner begin to fall.

Sabre growled, feeling somthing hitting his back. Muld had a feeling he had said somthing along the lines of, "Calm down." He walked back to the hut and set her on the ground next to Dante before he growled again. "What are you talking about, you saw that streach of dessert, there's no way he could have gotten anyone across with out a dragon, and the one that came out the egg he snatched won't be that big for at least 200 years!" Sabre growled again, "Yes yes...i'm aware of aging magic, and it's nearly impossible without a strong enough mage! And he barely knew magic himself in our last fight! So how the bloody-" He was interrupted as a fair sized shadow passed over them. Not a dragon, but somthing almost as bad. Wyverns.
Dante immediately jumped onto Sabre's back and pulled somthing out of a saddle bag. It looked loke a small pole made of silver before he started chanting again. The pole soon became a lance that was made of what looked like silver. Sabre sat on the ground and watched them pass by, set on somthing else. Each one was only half the size of Sabre, though they looked vary large at so close. They flew right by, heading in the direction the young Salin had taken earlier. Dante cursed loudly and Sabre kicked up into the air, quickly closing the distance.....

Sabre walked into the small village, seeing a survivor of the forest spirit's attack only worryed him. How could he get this many men here so soon? He stepped on the man in frustration as he continued his walk around the village, eventually finding the forest spirit laying on the ground with an impaled man laying a few feet away from her. Was that Saddler? he thought as he lifted the spirit into the air and onto his back. He headed back to the hut, thinking it would be better having somthing that can talk when he comes back.
Back at the hut, Dante yawned and streached. "well, that was a good nap....she's healing well....but where the bloody hell is that dragon?" He mumbled, stepping outside and looking around.

He tossed the thing, "Kill me if you will, kill all of us! only more and more will come! Seeking the masters favor! All we need is the red bag and the item inside of it, and you'll never see another of out humans again!" He said, obviously convicted to what he was saying as turned around to face her, not shying from the spear in the least.
Sabre heard somthing snap in the distance. He made a low growl and moved over to the source, more annoyed than angry. He easily caught and picked the thing up with an unusually dexteritous claw, and then, satisfyed that it wasn't a threat set it back down. Stalking back he almost wished somthing interesting would happen when he noticed the smoke. Figuring he had nothing better to do he turned and headed to the village.

Dante sat down, not willing to complain about the time he had been given to rest. He fell asleep several seconds later.
Down at the village the bruteish man growled at the seeming stupidity of the creature. "The red bag! the one with the letters etched into it! where is it?" To emphasize his point he tossed the thing onto the ground and put his boot on the things chest and pulling out his sword.

Dante pulled out the vial from earlier and started chanting while pouring the liquid. It would sting a bit, but in her current state he doubted she would mind. The bleeding stopped at once as it mingled with the blueish liquid, and the skin looked like it was mending back together again. "She should be fine....if it's anything that the combined efforts of myself and Sabre can't fix, then she might be in trouble, but as far as I can tell things are going as they should...."
The small troup closed in on the village and immediately started tearing apart homes, shops, and anyone that stood in their way. They were driven by thoughts of glory and riches and weren't going to be stopped by such mice as these! The longer the raid went on, the more nervous their leader became, what if the egg wasn't there? What if his king was wrong? No, he couldn't be wrong, if he was then they wouldn't be able to come back, but if he was right and the egg was gone they would have the same fate. The leader was a brute, even by the standards of his race, thus, he went to his instincts and grabbed a Salin by his shirt and lifting him off the ground, "Where....is....the bag!"

Somewhere far off the small troup struggled through the treck. The black armors they wore not helping in the least. The leader looked around for a moment before waving the troop on towards the source of smoke, likley a fire place of some sort. He smiled when he thought about how much bigger that fire would be. He was sent to find somthing for his masters, somthing some unfortunate soul had just uncovered. He was promised riches beyond compare for it, and seeing the small village layed out in front of him, he felt it was about to become easy money.

"Yeah, sure.....not like I'm in a rush to fly away or anything. let's head back Sabre.....oh what does it matter? not like we can't find him again if he dosen't come with us" He said. He sighed and started looking through Sabre's saddle bags, eventually pulling out a deep blue liquid, "So, you going to lead the way? Sabre isn't psycic."

"d**n it! Sabre, just repair the trees you knocked over so we can get this over with...... oh, and my name is Dante, Dante the silver lance......" He said, taking a bow. "At your disservice...." Sabre walked off on his path again, being carefull not to destroy anything else this time.

"I don't know really.....it happened so far away that I doubt you two have any relation. Sorry to say it but she died after she attacked me. In any case....Sabre here is actually fairly small for a dragon and has quite a bit of growing to do." Then he turned to Arden, "I'm afraid I don't have anything I'd be willing to trade for it....I would just recommend-" He was cut off by another one of Sabre's growls, "oh you can't be serious.....what? No, if he- ugh...I hate it when you make sence. Well my little friend, it looks like you have a new companion for your travels....Sabre's idea actually....If I refused then the oversized lizard would likley drag me along anyway....." He let out a deep sigh as the dragon made a ring of smoke that went around him. "by the way, I don't think you're very wise to the ways of the outside world.....if you try to pull finders keepers with one of the people after that egg, chances are that they would pull, 'my sword is bigger' " He walked over to Sabre and jumped onto his back, wanting nothing more than to throw somthing at the lousy iguana's head.

Before he could answer, the strange man answered for him, "A stolen dragon's egg. I know of more than a few people that will have senced when that thing was found, and they're willing to kill for it. That particular egg was the reason someone threw a spear at me, only to have it miss and tear into Sabre's wing."

"Oh gods....you know....you're the second forest spirit i've met that wanted to rip my head off...." He said, obviously unhappy with the whole dealing, "And where do you get the idea in your head that I'm harrasing the guy? I'm trying to help him so he dosen't get his head chopped over the red bag he's got. There are some dangerous people after it and I don't want someone killed over it." The dragon growled for a moment before the man turned to it and said, "you wouldn't dare! you remember what happened when you tried that last time....." The dragon let out a few more grunts and growls before the man sighed, "No no....just don't do it...." The dragon shrugged and looked at the forest spirit, apparently unhappy about the outcome of the conversation.

It looked at him curiously before staring at the bag. "wow, you haven't run off....interesting..." He muttered, "He can't talk by the way.... His neck was injured in a bit of a fight he was in. His name is Sabre." He walked over to the dragon and it let out a low growl, "Oh shut up...." It let off another series of low growls and roars before the man replied, "Yes yes, I realize that...." When he noticed the little things quizical look he told him, "I knew enough of his language before his voice was dammaged in the fight. I can get the basic structure of what he's saying but not much more than that." The dragon nodded and started "talking" again, and at that point the man's eyes went wide, "You want me to do what!?" It gave an enthusiastic grunt. "Ugh....nasty old lizard.....any way I could convince you to give up the egg in that bag of yours?"

"To give you a warning. That bag you're carrying is dangerous, and there are others like myself after it." He said, speaking a bit more quietly at this point, realizing why the thing was a bit wierded out, "I just felt I should give a warning to whoever found it." He heard a rustling in the distance and groaned, "Hey, can you promise me something?" He said as the rustling got louder. "Don't run" The thing making the noise was almost there and the man was thinking, well....at least I was able to give the little guy his warning before Sabre frightened him off....
