In his lab he was quite content. Far out in the middle of the desert, he worked on his latest invention. Regenerating armor plating. He gave several irritated clicks as he heard a scavenger banging on his six inch titanium door. "err....I fix you good!" He muttered as he triggered the EMP that was set on the door. He chuckled as watched the thing fizzle and hit the ground over his camera feed.
The building didn't look like much but a thick hunk of concrete. In actuality it was a fortress with foot and a half thick walls, with thick steel beams designed to augment the defences the place could offer.
He kept working as the small patrol of scavengers moved by his sanctuary. Slash didn't know why they even bothered anymore. It was obvious that he wasn't a human. Maybe the just thought that he was as different from them as the humans. At least they were smart enough to stay away from the door.....well, most of them....

Bastian did the same, going into his red and black wolf form. He honestly didn't care too much about the change however.

"Well look who's finally here. Wait a minuite, she can do that already?" He said, pointing at the girl. "One hell of a surprise, I'll say that much"

"I doubt you just fade into nothing. Somthing has to happen. Right? I honestly can't imagine not existing, can you? Whenever I try to imagine it, it feels like my mind opens up into everything before I realize what's going on and accidentally end it by thinking again. It may sound a bit wierd, but try it sometime before you go to bed. It's an interesting feeling...." ((I've tried this before and it's exacitally how I made him describe it. For me at least....))

"Said the girl to the human hunter. It just depends on if there are more than six. Seven or eight if most of them are unarmed. I'm not foolish enough to stand there getting sliced. That's why I rarely get hurt."

"We never thought of that while we were living together. We lived up in an isolated area and rarely had to think about humans. I honestly have no idea how they'd feel about this."

"Typical. Humans ruin just about everything they touch. Apparently your house wasn't an exeption...."
