Probably a silly question but, is the art strictly renaissance? Or can there be a Baroque influences?

The only something* I put on the art is that tha statues and paintings should be realistic. Other than that, any style is good.

Well, My personal quandry with this is, How powerful is this empire as well as how deep down can we destroy it? It it only just the surface to a larger force pulling the strings to the empire like some religeous cult or some crazy thing like that... as creepy as it sounds. NOthing like a religeous cult to make your day better rofl. Maybe some sort of "higher being" but again more ideas are thrown around as this develops.

The Empire is very powerful. Because they got lucky with a couple of geniuses, they possess very strong steam machinery - including steam-powered engines of war. However, they still lack the means to mass-produce these machines, so they have few of them. Unfortunately, the Archduke is a great strategist, and uses his technology very effectively.

I do have some ideas about the structure of the Empire, including enemies within and outside. And the Archduke is a typical usurper - if he dies, you'll have an enormous power vacuum which could very well lead to the collapse of the Empire.

Still my ideas about the Empire are still in an early phase, so I might change them around a bit by the time your characters get there. Especially with the obstacles I'm planning.

Hello everyone.

I'm sorry for my absence over the last week, since I've been sick, and was in no shape to RP. It's hard to make a good post when you get dizzy looking at a computer screen and your head feels as though it's full of sentient cotton wadding that wants out and has fashioned crude tools to break through your cranium. Days later, I lost some more time by having to work through the accumulated homework and lectures very slowly.

However, now that I can properly concentrate again, I'll be able to properly RP again, too. My apologies for the inconvenience.
