~This is actually a FFVIII sequel that I wrote that i'll post piece by piece~
“How many years has it been? Seventeen? Eighteen?”
“Eighteen my queen.”
“And tell me now, who has condemned me?”
“Squall Leonhart and his friends, my queen.”
“Right.” The sorceress stood. “I will not be denied again of my right to rule over time. I will bring utter annihilation to all who oppose me and all shall bow before me. Isn’t that right Tiamut?”
“Yes master.”
“Yes…”
Zenoah and Manoa watched as the half vampire, half succubus rose through the ground behind Quistis. Zenoah stopped Manoa from doing anything, shaking his head, telling him there was nothing that he could do. The young woman crept silently behind the instructor and, before Quistis could turn around at the feeling of something wrong, the vampire sank her deadly sharp fangs into the neck of their instructor.
“Dammit.” Manoa choked. He gripped the slayer sword, Griever, and stood up.
“Stop acting imbecilic Manoa and get down. She’ll see you.” Zenoah scolded. Reluctantly, he did and watched. The limp body fell to the ground. The succubus wiped her mouth, looked around, and sank into her shadow.
“She’s after mother, lets go.” Zenoah hurried up. When Manoa stay seated, he stopped. “She’s in danger.”
“yeah. Rinoa’s always in danger and I’m sick of getting her out. You go do it. I’m going to go find Laguna’s kid.” Manoa stood up to leave. The Lion Heart swept in front of Manoa. On instinct, Manoa parried the attack and was an inch away from attacking his own brother when he stopped.
The succubus stood behind Zenoah.
“Should I let her have him?” Manoa asked himself. Zenoah glared angrily to his younger brother as Manoa decided. As the vampire’s fangs extended and she got ready to pounce, Manoa decided against it and drove the sword over his brother’s shoulder and into the vampire’s face.
Zenoah wheeled around back back to where his brother stood. The two watched as the succubus phased through the blade, backing away and, after the sword was removed from her unharmed and beautiful face, she smiled.
“Nice try.” She complimented and pounced. Manoa held the sword erect, the silver blade glowing. The vampire crashed into the barrier and fell to the ground before knowing what happened. Zenoah had gone off somewhere into the unknown, so now Mannoa was left to fight her by himself.
She stood up. The light turned to silver flames and formed a great beast behind Manoa. This time, she phased through the barrier, was barely prepared for the fist of Ifreet came towards her. Her reflexes were good. She flipped onto the fist, bent down and shot her sharp as a blade wings at Ifreet. Manoa, sensing the opportune moment, jumped towards the vampire and slashed at her, face, only catching a piece of skin, but nothing too serious. Ifreet dispersed himself after the woman in black flipped backwards off of his fist and onto the ground.
Manoa charged towards her, ready to kill. The succubus flipped over Manoa’s blade, landed stealth fully on the sharp of the blade. She back flipped, keeping one foot inside of the blade and her other hitting Manoa’s chin like a hammer. He fell back. The succubus threw the sword into the air, caught it grinned.
Manoa stretched his jaw and stood. There was no way that he was going to be defeated by a woman. The succubus bent low and shot her wings towards the warrior. He flipped one-handedly to the side, picked up the Muramasa and sprang towards the succubus, knocking the wings aside. They were like blades, her wings were, and wouldn’t break.
Before Manoa, could reach her, she retracted her wings, crossed her wrists which glowed green and blue and ducked Manoa’s blade again. From below, the succubus raised her wing up to distract the warrior while, which it did. It pushed his to the side, right into a trap. Water raised from between his feet and knocked him into the air.
The vampire followed him. With the slayer sword, she attempted to drive the sword through her opponent’s chest, but missed. Ifreet grabbed the warrior, protecting him and knocked the succubus into the earth. She phased through the ground and out of battle.
Ifreet took Manoa into the Garden where Headmaster Squall spoke with the cadets.
“This threat has been growing for some time, but we couldn’t reach it and neither could our allies in Esthar or Tribia, but now they are aiming their attacks towards the Gardens. I need you all to be prepared. Be on watch and on guard at all time. Watch the lower classmen at all times. They could be the first targets.”
Someone screamed. A student ran to Squall, panting. “Instructor Trepe!”
Squall wasted no time heading in the direction the girl had come from, the many students trying to follow but being cut off by Irvine and Selphie. Squall came back a few minutes later.
“Please, someone, take her body to the infirmary. She may still be alive.” Squall said in a low voice. He knew that there wasn’t any hope, but he didn’t want the students to know. Some knew. After a sigh, the headmaster continued. “Instructors, you too must be careful. It may be too dangerous for you to stay, but it will be equally as dangerous for you to leave where we cannot keep an eye on you.”
Zenoah approached the headmaster. “The woman is a succubus and a vampire. She’s here.”
Some people gasped.
“Settle down everyone.” Selphie told them. “Okay, I need my spell casters to come with me!” She looked to Squall. “Is that okay with you?”
Manoa regained consciousness and sat up in Ifreet’s hand. After shaking his head, he looked around. He recognized the fountain and the elevator and loudly cursed, catching everybody’s attention. Ifreet took Manoa to the headmaster.
“You stupid son of a.” Manoa went after Zenoah only to be caught by Zell and Irvine. “You left me to get my azz kicked!” Manoa yelled. “You high-tailed your little scaredy behind right to daddy’s side like a.”
“Quiet.” Squall told me. “This is no time to bicker. Zell, Irvine, Selphie, Nida, Amy-Lee, Chevelle, gather your groups together to secure the area. Everyone else, head into the quad.”
Manoa walked with his father to the steps where Rinoa waited. Zenoah leaded the tail.
“You said that she’s here?” Rinoa asked Manoa, who ignored the question until asked by his father.
“Yeah. She can phase through things, that’s how I couldn’t kill her.” Manoa stretched his jaw. “And she took Griever.”
“Oh no.” Zenoah replied sarcastically. Manoa really wanted to hit him. “It’s amazing that you got yourself beaten by that woman.” Manoa socked him. Squall grabbed Manoa’s shirt and pulled him towards the front gates of the Garden.
“Now listen. I need you to go to Balamb and tell everyone there to watch out. They may not just stay with the Gardens, but may eventually head to the nearest towns.” Said the headmaster. Manoa nodded, declaring that in his mind, that it would be a boring thing to do.
“Aight.” Manoa stretched his jaw again. It was in pain. “If you find that stupid woman, don’t kill her. I want to do it.” With that, Manoa left.
