((Man, the godmodding in this thread is ridiculous... the way you fight between PC's is to allow the OTHER CHARACTER to say whether the attack contacts or not. Notice my chracter shot "AT" Kaitlyn, never said Mordin hit her. Attacks on other characters should be left open, and the other side shouldn't always avoid them either!))
Mordin was caught off guard by the attack, and instantly thrown to the ground in a cloud of make-up and perfume. He turned and reached for the elf that had attacked him, hoping to get a clutch on his neck before he could scramble away...

((Wow, your godmodding too bro, and its just a blinding attack... I can easily edit that to represent giving you a chance, but its just stupid since you wouldn't be able to see me /anyway/ unless you where cosmically aware.
Next time you have an issue? PM me.))

((I don't have an issue with it, I was simply stating right now so it didn't get out of hand later. I Rolled with it this time. I have a distinct curiosity how saying he reached for Dom is godmodding however, again, said nothing about him ACTUALLY grabbing him. I didn't just comment on your post either, I was commenting on Pinata's "Pulling the gun away" thing... It was just getting a little odd. I didn't mean for anyone to get offended, so PLEASE dont take it that way, i've just seen many a good thread start with those small ones, and end up with people shooting themselves in the head then laughing it off.)) EDIT:((I suppose ridiculous was not the appropriate word, and for that I apologize, I didn't want to be confrontational in the slightest. I was just hopeing to quell what was starting. My thoughts were that even if someone wouldn't have seen Dom until right at the attack, how he reacted, perhaps fighting back and managing NOT to get punched in the face with dust, etc. etc. It was just a comment, If there is a problem with my suggestion, then by all means tell me to shut up and lets move on. I suppose i saw so little advantage as it was that the attacks perfectly landing and it being dictated how it affected my character seemed excessive, sorry for the confusion, sorry for the offense. Let us forget this, and continue ))

((Fine. Though I'd suggest kindly taking that to PM's or to the discussion topic and not here pease...))
After the attack Dom had fully intended to dash off... however, his plans where bought to a halt when the man he had puffed maks a frantic grab for him- getting not his neck, but his arm instead.
Dom squeaks loudly when he is grabbed and he turns around to look at the man doing the grabbing, reaching inside his pocket to pull out a small bottle of perfume. "Let go of me!" He squeaks again and goes to spray him in the eyes...

He turned around at all the commotion, finally seeing what the elf was upto. He couldn't help but stare at the oddity of it all. Here they were trying to pull off the biggest hiest ever deviced with a group that seemed to have lost their brains somewhere along the line. They couldn't even fence a statue without screwing it up, this when no one was even looking for them!
He knew when he had been with a 'bad' crowd and he saw it was so this time. This group would draw way too much attention, something he didn't like. No amount of money would persuade him to risk the exposure this heist was going to bring.
He turned to the distracted group and spoke calmly, frustration showing on a face they will never see again, in a voice they will never hear, "This is all very charming but the man is right, I am not foolish enough to risk my neck for you all...", he said now looking at the struggling elf. He started backing away towards the edge of the forest, away from the group, turning around as he entered the tree line, "...Good luck."
As soon as he was out of sight on the group, he took off his jacket and threw it into the bushes, turning the cap sideways, changing his face to look more like a college kid on a trek in the jungle.

(OOC: I'm not godmodding, I just figured a bullet wound would be too inconvenient this early in the game. If Mordin wants to shoot at her again later, I'll likely let him hit her. Besides, establishing Kait as a contortionist is necessary for... er... other reasons.)
Kaitlyn saw where Mordin was aiming, thanked the Mother Goddess that she was flexible, then bent so that a person standing in front of her could see only her legs and waist... her spine was completely curved, her hair touching the ground, her open hands braced in the dirt behind her. She executed a perfect backflip, and the bullet bit into the earth an inch from where her foot had been. "Yer a good shot," she remarked to Mordin. "Nobody ever got that close before."
She saw Kalev running away, taking steps to change what he was wearing, and shouted after him, "It's a sad state of affairs when the androgynous Elf is more of a man than you!"

"Jaysus!" Crimthann shouted, taken off guard by Belldandy's actions. He quickly looked to Kaitlyn and the others "Back in the van!" He shouted. "Ronan! Get him!"
Crimthann ran towards the statue and scooped it up, running it back to the van and shoving it in. Ronan holstered his pistol and broke forward, throwing his arms around Dom's waist, doing his best to pull the elf free.

Kaitlyn did another backflip, which launched her through the air and into the van through the open side door. She pulled out her cell phone and checked the message. It could wait. After making sure the phone was still set to vibrate, she stuffed it back down the front of her pants.
The surprise appearance of some cop wannabe had rattled her a bit more than she was letting on. It boded ill for the mission that somebody was onto them already. She was reminded of the last time she had been busted... there had been a private investigator on her team's trail, and he always seemed to be one step ahead of them. But she knew that man's voice (had, in fact, gone to great lengths to memorize it), and the one outside the van wrestling with Dom now sounded too different to be the same guy.

((Eh... So hard to rp this character. Might have to drop him... Oh, and forgive me if this post sucks; I'm just trying to get Duke in.)) Duke had been preparing to join the rest when Kaitlyn back flipped into the van, blocking the door. He grimaced in annoyance, tempted to tell her that showing off wasn't necessary. Grunting, he pushed past her, his hand right hand reaching into his pocket for the battery, and his left for a rubber glove in his pocket. Praying Mordin didn't shoot at him, he rushed for the wrestling duo. He reached for the elf's arm with his left hand and Mordin's with his right. As the two were semi-violently separated, he released the electric charge. Before Mordin had a chance to recover from the shock, he ran for the van, dragging the elf behind him. ((Meh... Mayhaps I need to rethink the whole "serious character" thing. ))

Clasping onto the man's arm, Mordin pistol whipped at the man's chest to leave a lasting message to him. Once he had done so, hoping that it contacted where he had planned, he released him, picking up his other gun from the ground as he wiped his eyes with the backs of his hands. He was blinded for the time being, unable to see anything but a mass of white that burned his eyes like a furious fire. He struggled to his feet, rubbing his eyes until his vision, blurred as it was, began to return, only to see the group he had set out to stop fleeing in a van. He had accomplished his goal, and that was saving the foolish man that had so easily given himself away. He put his guns back in his holsters as the group fled from the area. He then, still rubbing his eyes, walked over and freed the german, who promptly tried to run, only to be tripped by a swift kick to the shins.
"Okay bud... I saved your ass, now you're gonna be givin' me everything you know about that group." Mordin said, obviously irritated at the childish, yet effective attack from the elf. He knelt down and clasped the german man by the collar of his shirt, "I helped you out, now you help me... I'm not askin'... You ain't gonna be hurt..." Mordin said, releasing the man's shirt, and then turning away and walking towards the edge of the forest, and his car, concealed away from the path so hopefully the group in the van wouldn't run upon it. If they did, he would be without transportation, and it would be a long walk back to the city.
"Unless of course you don't help me..." Mordin said, a grin cracking across his lips.
Herman the German (lol) quickly rose to his feet and followed Mordin, who pulled a cigar from his coat pocket, as well as a handkercheif, and cleaned himself up. He bit the end off the cigar and lit it, spitting out the end. He blew smoke up into the air and looked over at the German.
"Names, birthdates, anything you know... Give it to me." He began...

((Er... Mammoth? Your character just got electrocuted by Duke... And then Duke ran away... So your post doesn't make sense at the beginning... ))

((You sorta power-played or godmodded that attack so he did essentially have the option of not getting affected by it.))

If it wasn't for his amazing luck, the little elf would've probably died a long time ago. Today, that luck is keeping a firm grip on him as he manages to slip from the other mans grasp just in the time avoid said Pistol-whip... and its a good thing to because he probably would've broken a rib or two... or three or four.
When he's dragged into the van he immediately settles in what appears to be Kaitlyn's lap... op! One moment... adjust adjust. Ah... thats more comfortable. And then he blinks, "Oh... um... you don't mind do you?"

((I apologize, but rather that start another argument, I just ignored it. The proper method to handle an attack on another PC (Player Character) is to say what your character is intending to do, and then leave the effect and the attack landing up to the person being attacked. However, the person being attacked cannot avoid everything, or he/she may be accused of godmodding. Don't worry, everyone has to learn somehow, and I didn't mean to ignore you, I just didn't want to start another issue.))
