" Yup," Tynt answered, setting the book down in the center of the circle. The front cover held a truly intricate and complex series of symbols that were key to the whole circle working, and it was much easier to just use the book cover than try to recreate the pattern. " If indeed, I have drawn this all out correctly and with enough skill, we can use it to transport all of us and all the food and equipment to the beach instantly."

Jess tapped at a protruding lower lip curiously. "Wow I've never seen this sorta thing before. What other sort of spells use this kinda excecution?"

Keavah groaned, her imagination, once again, running wild. "Please, don't say execution..." She could feel the color drain from her face at a particular nasty image of them arriving inside-out. Her paleness, however, triggered another thought. "Hey Jessica, will your brother be joining us?" Mr. Grumpikins needs sunlight, she thought, barely able to conceal her snort as a cough.

Noting Keavah's sudden unease, Tynt quickly spoke to reassure her. " It's a very safe method of spell casting. At worst, we will end up off target." He left out the sudden thought of what they would do if 'off target' ended up being way out to sea. He decided to answer Jess's question in hopes of changing the subject. " Really, you can use these kinds of symbols for anything. This is the basic beginning, most spells started out in this form, but over time they evolved by shifting from this drawn compotent to verbal and finally to the more morden mental execution. It's faster to think or say the component rather than draw it out, but those methods are more prone to mistake then this."

The girl wrinkled her nose. This academic stuff wasn't what she was expecting. Or rather what she didn't think she'd be dealing with so soon. She put her hands on her hips and turned to her friend with a frown. "I'm really not sure if Jackie is coming or not. I asked him if he wanted to but he kinda told me to leave and threw a book at me." Jess rubbed at her sore head. "Maybe if I tell him that I'll run down the beach naked or something he'd go. That'd scare him right into submission." She snickered a bit. She wasn't quite malicious enough to do that. It would probably be effective if she could work up the gumption to embarrass herself like that in front of her dear brother.

"He threw a book at you?" Sibling rivalry at it's peak, she assumed. It was at these moments she was indecisive of whether or not she wanted a sibling. The company would be good-her life was pretty lonely up until now. On the other hand, occurrences like these were unavoidable. On the other other hand-the foot?-she knew the cause behind this mental conflict and knew what the answer would be if the Indecisive Fairy wasn't butting in. "d**n you Indi, go home, would ya?" she mumbled softly to the wind, knowing her message would be carried, diligently. The wind was like that...trees, not so much. She never understood why the Tree Whisperers got so much more notability than the Wind Talkers.

Jess shrugged. "Yeah... He does that sometimes. Guess he doesn't much want to come play." She thrust out her lower lip in a pouty frown. "His loss."

" We could always drag him along," Tynt offered, giving the book a nudge to make sure it was perfectly centered.

She snickered a bit, covering her mouth with a hand in a feign of politeness. "I don't know... He may like that. He'd just be forced to be miserable!"

"No offense to him, but, from what I saw, I got the feeling misery was his comfort zone." Though she didn't see why he had to act so emo. He lived in a flipping circus-any kids dream...sans the clowns.

She shrugged. "I think its his rebellion in a way. I mean we grew up in a social world so hiding from people is against what we knew, ya know?" She wrinkled up her nose and twisted a bit of hair around her finger. "Hope so cuz I'm not sure I know."

"Rebellion? You mean like the child of a hippie wanting to be a politician?" She had spent a good portion of her life trying to assimilate herself as best she could with her fae peers she never had time to rebel.

She laughed a bit and sat down, kicking her feet in childish amusement. "Yeah just like that! Only.. with a lot less flowers and lying." She grinned broadly. "He's only been like this for a short while, he used to be a lot different."

Keavah cocked her head to the side. "Maybe he spends too much time with the dead? They can be rather depressing with the whole 'I'm dead and I never got to do this and that' attitude."

A strange knowing smile lit up her face. "Oh not all of necromancy has to do with the dead you know. It has to do with the underworld as a whole." Jess nodded, teeming with pride in her knowledge. "Jack doesn't work with deceased, he works with spirits; monsters and essences. It's a strange kinda magic, I don't know anybody else that does it." The girl heaved a sigh, though not out of frustration, out of admiration. "He's really smart, I'm jealous of him."
