Zyphan would rather be flying above the black rainclouds, but in this weather she would be drenched, and unable to fly. Thus she rode atop Rifik, her palomino mare, to the town of Zicark. It was located in the center of all lands, and was a great place to come for rest if you didn't want to worry about fights breaking out between enemies.
She was headed towards a large inn, called The Neutral Zone Inn, but by all The Zone. Zyphan came from very distant lands, and was headed to her relatives, of which she got to by passing through werewolf territory from Zicark. She already passed through two regions unhindered, but the last one, home to dragons, was dreadful. At every crossroads, there was a guard who interogated her fiercely. Just a couple hours ago, Zyphan was finally able to escape from an ambush by two juveniles that heard of her crossing. Their attack left her with a gash down her right calf, that sent shards of pain up her leg with every movement.
Zyphan huddled in her cape, trying to keep warm and dry in the downpoor. Rifik plodded along at a dreary but obedient pace, coming to a stop in the Inn's barn at her rider's tug on the reins.
"Well, we made it, right girl?" Zyphan tried to slide off the mare's back, but her injured leg wouldn't obey, and she ended up falling off Rifik's back, lying stunned in soft hay while her horse nosed her curiously, then went back to eating from the hay provided.
Zyphan woke up a while later, still in the hay, but with two aches, instead of one. Her head hurt fiercely, from where it hit the hard floor through the straw.
"Ooh...Ow" she sat up and rubbed the bump on her head, her hand red when she looked at it. "Must've hit the floor hard. Let's see if I can get that saddle off you...Nngh."
Zyphan used a stirrup to stand up, and grimaced at the feeling of dizziness and the sharp pain from her leg wound. She managed, slowly but painfully, to get Rifik's equipment off, and to groom her carefully, making sure no sharp rocks were in her hooves.
When Zyphan was done, she limped to the barn-side door of the Inn, and pushed it open. The sent of warm food and ale sent her senses reeling, and she limped over to the counter to order something hot and a glass of water.
((for this one, it would be best if the rper could post character profiles in the profile board. you can also be whatever you want, being as this is in the center of all lands. This does not mean you have to use a seperate character. you can be ANYTHING!!!))

"Oh my...seems like the rain has started..."
He swung down from the tree branch he sat on earlier and landed on the ground, lifting one hand to the air to catch his falling top hat from the tree. Placing it back on his head, he turns around, his oversized black cloak swished a little at this, and pushed his glasses in. His eyes from behind the glasses searched beyond the horizon for a place to stop...but he disabled the magic in this power as his eyes returned to its normal view.
There was an inn just a few ways ahead of him, he noticed.
"Better there than the rain," he looked up and tched, continuing down the dirt path towards the inn.
Moments ago, he was back in the Netherworld of his realm, renewing the seal on the former king of the Netherworld, Asmodeus. The former king, however, was not entirely THE former king. He was the original king, until Razakel here usurped the throne by tricking Asmodeus and it led him to seal the king into a black obelix which he hid deep in the undergrounds of the Netherworld. After all, everyone gets tired playing servant, don't they?
The rain fell on his clothes, but they were completely dried away as though his clothes itself was hot. Tiny little smokes appeared at every drop of rain on his clothes, producing that typical sizzling sound before it turned to smoke. It was as though he sucked away the happiness of everything...or perhaps sadness? Who knows? But he couldn't be bothered. The rain was as annoying as a raged king.
Which reminds him...Did he really wanted to say something back there? Oh well, time's up for him...at least for now until I renew the seal, he chuckled.
The moment he reached the inn, he produced a mahogany-wood cane and tapped at the door several times. Only after waiting for a few seconds did he twist the doorknob open and entered the inn. Razakel cracked his neck and sheds off the dust on his oversized cloak, pulling his hat a little lower as he made his way into the inn.
But just as he was about to take a seat, his eyes caught a limping figure making her way to the counter. The wound on her leg explained it all, but he was surprised at how persistent she was on just getting a glass of water.
"My, that's quite a wound you have there, love," he chuckled, approaching near her. He held out his gloved hand while the other on his cane, leaning for support.
On the exterior, Razakel appeared to look like any ordinary man...except for his odd clothing. His black top hat and oversized cloak gave out a rather classy look of him, and the glasses that concealed his eyes made it seem as though he was blind. But no, he can see well, very well. Even with his third eye hidden somewhere inside. After all, a demon needs no more than instinct and power, don't they?
"Would you like me to help you out with that?" he asked, smirking a little.

((This will be my last post for a while. I am now grounded until next monday. sorry.))
"Oh, thank you." Zyphan took the proffered hand greatfully, and leaned against him slightly, glad to take off some weight.
She took in his attire and decided he may be a gentleman, but thought better than reading a book by its cover.
"May I ask your name?" she said while easing onto a stool at the counter and ordering a long-awaited meal. She winced as her leg bumped the counter, but tried not to show it. Her older brother Gadier always teased her about how wimpy she always seemed.

"'Tis a pleasure, love...'tis always been a pleasure..." he smirked.
He supported her and helped her to her seat. His hat fell forward a little, but he was swift to act and quickly caught the tip of his hat, pushing it back into place. Despite the fact that he was a demon, he decided not to act like the ones back in the Netherworld. Modesty and properness had always been his forte.
He bowed low, putting one hand to support his hat from falling off; "My lady, my name is Razakel," he got up and smirked, pushing his glasses in, "And might I ask what is yours...?"
But his eyes shifted to the wound on her leg and to the wince on her face. Despite the fact that he was a cold-hearted demon (am I truly?), he did not find the idea of women looking uncomfortable when talking to him.
Sighing softly, he kneeled next to her wounded leg and grabbed her by the ankle, pulling it up to inspect it even more closely; "I'm sorry for my sudden actions, m'lady, but I just can't simply ignore a lady in pain..." he smirked at her.

((maybe not. it appears I can get here from the school computers. =D))
"My name is Zyphan, Mr. Razakel." As he grabs her leg, she instinctively pulls back, but stops as shards of pain race up her leg. "What are you doing? Are you a healer?"
Zyphan watches him inspect her leg, but is in extreme pain, for with her movement the wound reopened. She reaches for the glass of water as it is placed in front of her, and slowly takes a drink, watching the odd but seemingly very nice man before her.

((Omedetou~ XD))
He blinked as she pulled her leg back from his grip. Perhaps, he thought, he should have taken it a little more gently than just now; "Well, m'lady Zyphan...I am not truly a healer, nor do I have the skills to be one. But the least I could do-" he gently takes her wounded leg once more, "-is to see how bad it is,"
Razakel found himself touching the side of the wound, feeling the soft skin of her calves even while wearing his gloves. Of course, some might find this act lecherous and kick him away right after that. But what he was simply trying to do was to feel for any broken bones inside her leg. That was the first thing every healer should be concerned of before tending to the wounds.
His flicked a finger in the air; a sign to the bartender for a glass of warm water. When the bartender handed him the water, he placed the glass down on the floor and turned back to her. "I hope you don't mind me taking your shoes off as this might...wet your pretty shoes," he chuckled, gently removing that particular shoe.
After placing it on his side, he then lifts the glass of water towards the tip of her wound, from where it all started. "This might hurt, m'lady, so please bear with it."
Without even counting one to three, he slowly pours the water on her wound.

Zyphan knows what is about to happen. She grasps the stool and looks away, but is unprepared for the amount of pain a little warm water can cause.
As the water runs over her wound, Zyphan inhales sharply, trying not to shout out in pain. Never in her life has she ever been in as much pain as this.
As the pain decreases and Zyphan realizes that Razakel has used all of the water, she turns back to him, her face still clearly conveying the fact that she is in pain.
"Ow." Is all Zyphan has to say afterwards, her voice all shaky and uneven.

He looked at her and chuckled lightly, "'Tis fine by me if you wish to scream, m'lady. It doesn't pay to keep it all inside, no?"
His glasses went forward again, but his clever hands were swift enough to catch it before falling, pushing it back into its place. He then went to arrange his hat before looking at the wound once more. It was still there, and the blood continued to drip even after him pouring water on it.
Of course it wouldn't work, I was only cleaning the wounds, he told himself.
Razakel flicked his fingers in the air and conjured a white thread, pulling the other end with his other hand to make it longer. He then rubbed his fingers at one end of the thread, forming a small sharp needle with the magic he had within him. It was strange, of course, for a demon to have complete control over such subtle magic since most of their magics were meant for destruction.
He smirked and pulled her leg up once more, resting it on a stool next to her seat; "Don't worry about the thread and needle, they're clean. But about feeling pain..." he chuckled a little, "I can't guarantee that it'll end straightaway, but this should help,"
Holding the thread and needle in one finger and tore off a part of his oversized cloak. With that torn piece, he tied it very tightly around her leg, slightly above her wound. "If my former master sees me doing this, he'd freeze in his place," he chuckled, reminscing a little before continuing to tend to her wound; "Tell me more about yourself, m'lady, and I shall tell you mine...but if there are secrets, do not hesitate to keep it. After all, everyone has a secret they wish not to share..." Like mine, I suppose? Heh...
It was another good way to keep her mind off the pain that she will be going through soon, since he lack any of the medicinal equipments required to fully tend to this wound. Touching the end of her wound gently, he then slowly placed the needle near it...and went through her skin, only to appear at the other end. He continued the same process, slowly moving up along the way.

((omg, i love your character!!))
"Well, currently I'm traveling too..." Zyphan grits her teeth as the needle pierces her skin, but tries to ignore it as much as possible. "Um...My relatives. They're only a few days' horse ride from Zicark, or three day flight from my home instead of a month long ride. I was to get some new herbs and such that we don't have in our forest.
"My family is pure phoenix, though we consist of Ice, Fire, Earth, and Air. My brothers and I are all Ice Phoenixes, though our parents are both Fire."
She chuckles to herself, seeming to have forgotten all about her wound.
"I specialize in the warping of water molecules, and it's really fun making water do amazing things. Here, watch."
With a few simple movements of Zyphan's hands, the ale in one man's glass "shoots" out, and forms a tree, wolf, dragon, then a house on the table before "leaping" back into the mug, no ale having been spilt.
Those sitting at the table give Zyphan a glare before going back to their rowdy conversation.
"Oops. I've forgotten how little our kind is liked for our ability to do magic." Zyphan looks to Razakel, and winces as the needle pierces a tender spot. "So, what about yourself? What brings you here to Zicark? You do a type of magic, I can tell."

He did not stop, nor did he go any faster. His pace was constant and of mild speed, just so not to surprise her more if he were to increase his pace. By doing so, it would only cause more pain and more mess. And he is the kind of person who despises messy works, even if it was because of him.
"Phoenix, eh?" he asked, but then it hit him. His hands were still busy sewing the wound, but he looked up at her with his hat almost falling off from his head, "It seems to me that you lack the wings and...features of a phoenix. Well, to be precise, the phoenix that I've read in books. But I suppose the magic you possess still counts you as a phoenix, and might I say, that was a rather splendid display of magic you did," Amateur...but with skill, yes...how interesting...
Razakel finished the whole process by tying a knot at the end of the wound. As soon as he cleaned the wound from blood, he took the remaining white thread available and waved it in the air while his other hand caressed it gently. At each wave he did, the thread multiplied, and the other caressing hand caught it, combining it with the other threads. It was like weaving a cloth, only in his case, he was multiplying them from the original one. The thread multiplying work was simple magic, but it requires skill and patience. Being the demon that he is now (and after living for countless centuries), the immortality he possesses comes with patience. And he was one of the most patient creatures back in his world.
After all, living forever means that no time is wasted. For him, at least.
"What of me?" he repeated her question and waved the newly formed bandage, "Ah...'tis a long story, love...a very very long one,"
His one hand held the bandage while the other untied the cloth he tied around her leg earlier. It must be done fast, or else her leg will turn blue and he may have no choice but to cut it off. Another problem he tried to avoid.
As soon as that was done, he started wrapping the bandage around her sewed wound.
"To cut it all short..." he started, thinking on where to start, "I am a demon in the service of my former master, Asmodeus," he smirked, "But since he is now...former...I get to travel to places, away from that dark little world called Netherrealm," he paused for a moment to put his hat back in its place, "My magic exists in every demon, but unlike them who enjoy destroying things...I prefer the more subtle ones," a chuckle escaped his lips, "They possess no elements or whatsoever. I simply take whatever is in the air and fuse their particles to form into a particular object, therefore, I do not exhaust my strength unlike my brethrens. I don't use, I simply borrow and change their pattern..."
He tied the last bit of the bandage into a tight knot and stood up, wiping the sweat from his eyebrows, "There," he pushed his glasses in, "I do hope I've assisted you in some way, m'lady Zyphan,"
((i'm so so sorry for the late reply~ but heck, I replied anyway. XDDDD Raz is one of my fav chars~))

((it's ok. i don't mind))
Zyphan thanks Razakel as he finishes with her wound. She knew that without his help, the wound wouldn't have healed properly, rendering her leg useless.
"Thanks. I wouldn't have been able to do all that on my own." She shivers some, and realizes that her clothes are still wet from her ride in. "I'm going to get a room so I can get out of these wet clothes. That, and all these men are starting to give me the creeps."
To emphasize her meaning, she motions towards a table full of partially drunk males, all looking like they recently came in from a long ride. Two were vampires, one other a werewolf. Zyphan didn't know what breeds of the remaining two were. The werewolf and one of the unknowns were oggling Zyphan in a way that their wives would slap them silly for. She felt naked to the world under their gazes.
She motions for the bartender, and requests a suite with two beds, one bed in a seperate but connected room. "Care to join me?"
