It was late in the main city, barely a soul walked the streets as darkness crept in and freezing rain pounded the streets. Fayt knelt in an alleyway half sheltered from the rain clutching her right arm with one hand trying to stop the blood seeping through her now useless bandages and through her coat sleeve. Her jaw length red hair was plastered to her head and the rain only made her breathing more unstable, her naturally pale skin was deathly white. She coughed and quickly covered her mouth with her free hand wiped the black fluid away from her mouth. Sinteric was taking it's toll on her. Fayt felt herself grow cold not just from the rain as she lay down in the alley and closed her eyes letting the rain wash away the blood and fear. She didn't realise she had been spotted as she slipped away from her concious mind.

*Tegan walked the streets quickly, hurrying to get home. The hood of her red cloak was draped over her head, shielding her from the cold rain. While few others walked the streets at night Tegan often did so, preferring the dim light and the lack of crowds. Her stride was swift though, for fear of being accosted should she linger to long in one place. However, she did stop at one point, her poor eyesight able to spot a rather oddly shaped blur down one of the side alleys... It was her sharp hearing, catching the sound of coughing, the made her cautiously step down the alley.* "Hello? Is someone there...?" *She approached carefully, finally able to make out the shape of a girl as she got closer. She quickly walked over to her, crouching at her side. She appeared to be unconscious but she was definitely alive... It was then that Tegan noticed the blood mingled with the rain that soaked the poor creature... Tegan immediately unclasped her cloak, quickly wrapping it around the shivering girl. While Tegan wasn't very strong, the girl was smaller than her, and with some difficulty she managed to lift the girl, carrying her out of the alley as quickly as she could.*

Fayt opened her eyes for a moment and felt herself being carried but her conciousness didn't last long an she quickly slipped away again.

*Tegan soon had the girl inside her rather small home, quickly laying her on a few cushions by the fireplace. As soon as she had a fire roaring in the hearth, Tegan removed her cloak from the girl, attempting to get her out of her wet clothes and change her bandages...*

Fayt slipped back slowly in a concious state of mind. Slowly she prised her green eyes open, her eyesight was blurry and everything seemed to sway but that was a common after effect of an attack and would pass shortly. She looked down at her arm covered in fresh white bandages, she had dry different clothes on, her fairly short red hair was now dry. Fayt sat up and coughed a little, she heard a sound in the corner and immedaitly turned around and called out.
"Who's there?"

*Tegan jumped a little when she heard a voice, having been so busy preparing a meal that she hadn't noticed that the strange girl was awake. She quickly got up, walking over to the stranger and kneeling at her side.* "You're finally awake... Don't worry... You're safe here... My name is Tegan Bianchi... What's yours...?"

"It's Fayt, Fayt Valmont. It's Tegan right? How did I get here?"
She asked looking around the small but well furnished room, grateful for the roaring fire in the grate.

*Tegan's eyes roamed over the girl as Fayt looked around the room, checking to make sure that her bandages were still in place.* "You were in an alley not far from here... You were unconscious and bleeding pretty badly... I brought you here to my home. For a while there, I thought it might have been too late..." *Tegan frowned, her expression softening.* "How do you feel...?"

"Like hell but there's nothing that can be done about that."
Fayt noticed Tegan looked a little confused if not hurt at her comment.
"Sorry, It's a long story. Thanks Tegan."
Fayt stood up and coughed a couple of times but that soon passed.
"By the way Tegan, did you change my bandages?"
Fayt looked at Tegan with a serious expression.

*Tegan nodded slowly, though she stayed kneeling on the floor.* "Yes... There's no one here but me. But I didn't touch the sores with my bare hands if that's what you're worried about..." *Tegan hesitated, her timid nature getting the better of her as she lowered her voice a little.* "Forgive me, Miss Valmont, but I don't think that you should be standing so soon... You should rest..."

Fayt breathed a sigh of relief.
"Call me Fayt, well that is if you want an infected staying in your home."
She remained standing taking in Tegan's appearence properly for the first time, unusual colouring... Fayt frowned a little and looked around the room seeing if she could spot her coat.

*Tegan blushed slightly when she noticed Fayt staring at her, and she was exceedingly grateful when she looked away.* "You can stay as long as you need to. I'm not afraid..." *She slowly stood again, going back over to the two plates of food she had been working on before the interruption.* "You must be hungry... This isn't much, but it's all I have at the moment." *Tegan meekly offered Fayt one of the plates.*

Fayt gratefully accepted one of the plates and sat down to eat it, she hadn't been eating properly lately it was part of what brought on the attack. She covered her mouth with a gloved hand and coughed again.
"I appreciate your kindness but I'm sorry it's a waste of your time, I'm dying anyway." Fayt said softly.

*Tegan lowered her gaze but simply gave a light shrug.* "Perhaps... but you're not dead yet... and that's all that really matters, isn't it?" *She slowly started eating, mostly to keep herself from saying anything stupid in front of her new guest.*

Fayt laughed darkly.
"Not yet but I haven't much time left.. tick tock."
She said calmly as if the prospect didn't scare her when really Fayt didn't want to die, not yet. Her memory still had so many gaps that she had to fill, she couldn't die not yet but then again it wasn't for her to decide. She looked back over to Tegan who seemed embaressed about something, Fayt couldn't quite understand what.
