((Private rpg for Ze and I.))
*The royal palace of Saradur was absolutely buzzing with excitement and preparations as all of the slaves and servants made ready for the arrival of the foreign council. The kingdom had seen far too many years of conflict, and everyone was ready for the long-awaited peace. Finally, there would be a treaty of peace, a definite organization of boundaries and rules to prevent more chaos. A team of ambassadors would soon be arriving and the entire palace reflected the importance and celebration of the event. All of the finest gold and jeweled pieces were laid out... vases, dishes, flatware, sculptures... The marbled floors were spotless and gleamed in the light of the many beaded lamps throughout the halls and rooms. The high arched windows showed no sign of dust or cobwebs. Flowers and bright fabrics were hung everywhere and the oils and incense burned in their holders. All of the inhabitants were dressed splendidly in their finest and most radiant clothing, even the slaves...
Kala was among these, decked out in fine bracelets and necklaces of gold and wearing a flowing purple skirt and matching, though far more revealing, top that showed off the smooth, dark skin of her stomach and arms. Her plaited hair was adorned with a small gold ring at the end of every tiny braid. As she lined her eyes in black charcoal and dusted her lids with gold like the other slaves, she wondered about the strange people that would make up the council of ambassadors... She had only known two places in her lifetime: the mansion of the wealthy nobleman where she had been born and raised and the palace itself. Rarely had she ever been allowed out of either, so she did not know what to expect from these foreigners...
Finally, all was ready, and the throne room filled with the king's most beautiful slaves and servants, as well as the king and his new bride seated upon their dais. Kala stood attentive behind the throne in a group of female slaves given the special assignment of serving the council fulltime during their stay... It wasn't long at all before loud drums and flutes sounded, announcing the arrival of the foreign ambassadors...*
