Laeo lay still, enjoying his sleep when the strange orb glowed brightly in his pocket. His leg felt a chilly wind and he unconsciously grabbed the end of the robe and pulled it over himself just moments before a small voice was heard.
"Wake up kitty," Kiona said as she shook him gently.
His eyes slowly cracked open to see the blue face of that annoying brat and a feeling of anger and annoyance filled him at once.
"Am I not supposed to be getting rest?" he asked in a displeased tone. "What is it that you want now? Are you going to try to freeze me again?"
"Nah," she replied showing off an innocent smile, "I'll save that for the next time you make me mad. Right now I want you to follow me downstairs. Someone's here."
Laeo sat up on the ground and looked at the girl with a puzzled look. They were in an Inn. As far as she knows, theres an Inn keeeper and a woman with a wolf. Of course theres someone here!
"You lost me," he said. "What did you mean by that?"
"I mean someone here seems out of place. I can feel it."
"So how does that affect us?"
"It doesnt!" she exclaimed. "But I know how it feels to be alone. I just want to see who it is."
"So then this is more for you than for this journey?"
"I guess you could say that."
Laeo just layed back down and pulled the cloak tighter around him.
"Then I'm going back to sleep."
"Fine then!" she screamed, kicking him in the back. "See if I ever grant you any favors."
With that she walked past the still man and out the room. She made her way downstairs, leaving a small film of ice below each footstep. She dragged her hands along the rail while she descended and stopped at the bottom of the short stairs. This person had to be close.
She turned her head towards the bar and saw Rana talking with a strange man. Across from them was another woman, sitting by herself at a table. Kiona walked over casually and took a seat across the table from the woman and just stared blankly at her face without saying a word.
Up in the room Laeo just scratched his back where he had been kicked to remove the small ice shards and went back to sleep. He had no reason to care anyway, what could an 11 year old accomplish?

Flame looked a bit startled at the woman infront of her. "Hi." She said, smiling at her softly. 'What am I doing here?' She thought to herself looking at the woman. Crossing her legs, she leaned back a bit.

"Hi!" Kiona responded. "You look uncomfortable here, are you ok?"
She moved her hand towards the hand of the young lady but pulled back when she saw frost start to form on the table along the length of her reach.
"Um...dont worry about that."

Shaking her head lightly she laughed at the ice. "Oh I won't. I'm used to it..." She responded before taking the woman's hand and shaking it. "I'm Flame by the way, and I'm fine...just a bit out of place I think..." Her hand was much warmer than a normal person's.

Kiona jumped at the sound of that name. Flame? Add to that was the fact that this person was holding her hand without turning blue.
"Wow!" she exclaimed. "Not many people can do that. Are you mortal?"

Flame laughed again and pulled back again. "I'm not sure if I'm immortal...but I am a fire faerie, at least part of one..." She smiled slyly.

"I've never heard of that. The only fire creature I know of lives in Fire caverns to the west. I'm heading there now."
Kiona lowered her eyes for a moment. She knew of Ifrit's temper. Especially the fact that he hated humans but he was the only fire elemental she knew of.
Her head turned back to the stairs, thinking of how she would fair against this demon even with Laeo's help. Ifrit was a monster to begin with, but his Hell Fire technique was too powerful for her. Even her mother's Diamond Dust could barely stop it for a few attacks but in the caverns he had unlimited strength.
Kiona quickly turned her head back towards teh girl when she realised that she had wandered off in thought and smiled at her.
"So what exactly are you doing here? Are you lost?"

"I see.." She repsonded to the woman telling her where she was headed. When the lady drifted into thought Flame sat there quietly, waiting for her to come back. When she did Flame smiled. "I'm just roaming right now...trying to find a future and answers..."

Kiona just stood up from her seat and looked over at the lady. Her desire may not be so easily fulfilled. Though she had faith that this person might find what it was that she wanted, Kiona knew she wouldnt be able to help with this. Laeo was right afterall. There was nothing she could do.
"I wish for you the best in your travels my friend."
As she turned to walk away she stopped and turned back.
"May I ask which direction it is that you came from?"

Flame snapped out of her deep thoughts to the woman. "Hm? Oh! Um...Well...to the East there's a scattering of mountains, I came from the tavern right on the other side..." Her expression saddens before she forces a smile. "Thank you, and best of luck to you too..."

"very big give away." she downed her drink. Geno got down the last bit of his drink and started to run his finger across the rim of his glass for a moment, thinking.Geno: So, are you and that cat traveling around or something? Cause, you seemed friendly with him, and i really doubt he was telling me the truth about being an inn keepers' assistant. I don't think a normal person would'v taken kindly to him at first, which is a shame, but probably true

"I just met him today. He tried to rob me earlier, but Kacha saw to it that he didn't. Then I met him here and we talked a bit." she shrugged and refreshed her drink.

(( Is it ok if I join? If you dont want me too I'll delete my post right away. )) A dark figure moved through the shadows, approaching the inn. The man's footsteps made no sounds, as if he was nothing but a shadow himself. Closer and closer the figure came to the inn doors, alarming no one around the building of his presence. Finally the figure reached the front door to the establishment. He reached his hand down to the handle of the door and swung the door open, stepping in the moment the door was open. He shut the door behind him and let his eyes search the inn lobby.
The man's face was now able to be seen, as well as his whole body. However, at the in a sense his face could not be seen. A black mask covered both his face and his head, leaving only a peice open for his eyes. His eyes, however, stood out a great deal from the rest of his body, unlike his suit, which was black, his eyes were a sky blue. His body was covered by a black skin tight leather suit cut off at the arms making him, at night, seem like nothing more than a shadow. On his back he carried a katana with a red and gold hilt, kept in a black sheathe. Also on his back was a oak bow and a quiver holding many arrows. On his legs were many holsters holding dagger looking shurriken all down his thigh.
His eyes continued searching the lobby until finally he found an empty seat, a seat in a corner away from the rest of the inn customers. The man walked over to the chair, his steps still making no sound, and sat down. "This looks like a good place to rest," He thought to himself. "Maybe I'll stay here for a while." A waitress walked by his table and sat down a glass of water in the center, before walking off to tend to the other people in the inn. The man wasn't thirsty at the moment so he left the glass there, atleast for now. He continued sitting at his table, listening to the converations going on throughout the room.
