Ka-ze didn't take long at all to catch up, catching a glimpse at the man he had been following.
"least I know who you are now." He chuckled and kept running.
((a name would be nice, I looked your character up in the character board but I keeop forgetting.))

He smiled. This one seemed to have a sense of humor, that was always a good thing.
"The name's Theodoric, and you are..." he trailed off watching in front of him the entire time. He wasn't about to lose her...

"Sh*t..." She murmered, deftly leaping over some trashcans and throwing them behind her in order to evade her persuers. The trick was an older one and she didn't expect it to work.
As she came to a corner she ran around and quickly discarded most of her clothing, changing her guise completely as she did. She huddled up in rags near a cardboard box and sat there.

Theodoric heard him and almost didn't see the cans, but jumped over them at the last second. He couldn't hear her anymore. He stopped as he got close to a corner.
"I can't hear her anymore," he muttered to himself as he spotted a few things on the ground, clothes. He knelt down to pick them up. He didn't sense anything and he frowned when he realized this.
'I thought this would happen, but not so soon,' he thought. His heightened senses were beginning to dull to that of a normal humans.
He shook it off and stood, leaving the clothing on the ground. He knew he had made a mistake now. This wasn't like Sonanja to do and she hated using henchman. He looked at Ka'ze for a second and then looked into the darkness.
"Listen, whoever you are, if your still around. I'm sorry for this, I thought you were someone else and it kinda distracted me. However, I'm warning you now, stop following me or there will be a price to pay," he said in his most threatening tone and turned to Ka'ze and jerked his head to go back the way they came, but he was hoping that his little threat would goad whoever was there into a confrontation. If not, he was prepared to try an ambush. Most stalkers tended to keep doing what they wanted until they got what they wanted or until someone stopped them.
Never the less, he was clutching his sword underneath his leather jacket in cased something unexpected happened, but he doubted how well he could protect himself with him losing his powers....

"Well that was a waste of time..." Ka'ze sighed, following Theodoric back.

"Don't be so sure, " Theodoric said, "Whoever, she is, she is still here and we might as well wait for her to make herself known again. Say, are you hungry, I'm freaking starving,"
At that moment his stomach decided to maker itself heard and rumbled a like an earthquake. Theodoric's face turned red a little at the embarrassment.

Ka'ze chuckled lightly, "no, I'm not all that hungry. but fell free to get something to eat."

The 'girl' sitting nearby whimpered and pulled into her boxes more. "More strangers...can'cha leave things a'lone? Hafta mess wi' things..." She said, muttering maniacly. Of course, this wasn't the ramblings of an insane street urchin- but an intelligent statement by a fallen goddess in guise. Not an easy thing to tell...

Though his senses were beginning to dull, he heard movement in the shadows and looked into them as he stopped. There in a few boxes he caught sight of movement, and couldn't help but take pity.
"Ka'ze hold on, there is someone here," he said jerking his head in the direction of the movement.
"Hey, you in the shadows," he said forgetting all about who he was chasing," You hungry?"
He knew it sounded stupid, but he didn't want to leave with offering this person a meal and maybe a place to stay. There was a Taoist Temple in San Francisco where he was staying. The lead monk an old friend of his master...

Ka'ze stopped where he was, crossing his arms over his chest, carefully holding his blade, as he waited.

The urchin in the shadows shook her head slowly and rolled up into a ball. "Go away..." she said, drawing out the statement to make her words hang there in the open air. "I need no help from stranger's like yerselves...."

"Surely, you don't mean that?" he said, looking at her questioningly, "Everyone needs help every now and then. Sometimes that's how people become friends..."
He trailed off suddenly remembering all those who had helped him and shuddered slightly after remembering what happened to some of them. He shook it off as he got an idea.
"Okay, how about a business proposal. I ask you for some information and I give you something that you want. How's that?" he asked, hoping maybe she could help with his master.

She nodded slightly, a small smile pursing her lips, "Alright then let's hear it..." She says with a determined tone, standing up from her spot on the ground.

Theodoric's senses spiked for a minute, an involuntary reaction to things he didn't see were quite right. Though her movements gave nothing away her tone said something that he didn't quite understand.
'This one,' he thought questioningly as he eyed her for a moment, he had learned a long time ago that appearances can be deceiving. He dismissed the thought from his mind.
"I'm looking for someone, and was wondering if you could help me find him," he said, his voice taking on an edge to it," You see, a friend of mine went missing from the taoist temple at the far end of town and I came here to find him..." he trailed off as a shiver ran up and down his spine because of what was happening in another, darker place.
In the rubble of what was considered a throne room by some of the more sinister creatures in existence, a limp form grotesque by many human standards was pinned to the wall. Its face twisted into a soundless scream, stuck there since the time of its death. From its chest hung its own sword stuck through its heart and pinning him there, however, from the neck down he was not completely whole. A large slash was covering most if his torso and from inside, nothing.
Two figures stood before the carnage within the dark dimension that was simply called Pandemonium. One dark-skinned woman with red ritualistic marks all over her body and clad in red leather brushed her raven hair from her dark red eyes and smiled revealing her teeth that would lead people to believe her to be a vampire, when in reality she was a demon princess.
"Brother certainly did a messy job here. Who would have thought that he had it in him," she asked in her so childish voice not expecting an answer, but she got one.
"I did," said the figure beside her in a voice that seemed somewhat angelic but was far from it because of who it belonged to. A red-haired woman stood with one hand on her hip taking in everything before her. Her green eyes scanning every corner of the once ornate room. She looked like a human to most people, even beautiful beyond comprehension, but her eyes at that moment told the truth. She was the wife and daughter to the creature that is now a lifeless husk on the outer wall of the chamber and Queen of Demons and unfortunately, Theodoric's mother....
