((me and Kait only for right now atleast. Whethor others can join will be debated later.))
A young man, around the age of 23, yawned and stretched at his desk. He was pulling another all nighter to meet his deadline. *If deadlines weren't threatening, the wouldn't begin with "dead" * he chuckled as he thought of a quote he once read. He shook his head and looked at his bookshelf, the one that held all of the books he had written. "The Legacy of Vancova, by moi, Rylan Davis..." that was one of his favorites, one of the best he had ever written in his opinion. He got back to work, but after awhile he fell asleep on his desk, exhaustion taking over.... He woke up several hours later to a scene unknown to him... Rylan opened his eyes to see that he was in the middle of a dark forest, the light was having trouble penetrating through the tree tops. Slowly he stood up, freaking out, not sure where he was... "hello..?" he said quietly.

"How much longer until we reach the city? I'm tired of trying to keep up with you, elf."
*Nara glanced over her shoulder at the dwarf.* "It's not my fault your legs are so short. We keep walking. It shouldn't be much farther until we're out of this forest and then the city should be in sight. We'll be there before nightfall."
*A human walking at the back of the group spoke up.* "Well at least we'll be able to get some real food tonight. I'm sick of dry meat and biscuits."
*The human's twin sister nodded in agreement.* "We all are."
*It was then that Nara stopped dead in her tracks.* "Shh!" *She held up one hand, listening to the sounds of the forest around them. She was sure she had heard a voice. Whispering, she turned to speak to the others.* "Stay here... I'll take a look ahead." *Slinging her bow off of her back, she tread over the leaves beneath her feet, her elven grace allowing her to be deadly silent. She took shelter behind one of the trees again, peering carefully around it. It was then that she caught sight of a human male... an odd looking human male. Sensing no one else with him, she spoke up.* "Stay where you are, stranger. Who are you?"

He jumped at the voice, and turned around trying to see who called out. "um.. I-I'm Rylan..." he could tell the voice was female, but didn't know where she was. Rylan grabbed onto he left arm with his right, and looked around confused. He wasn't sure what to do, he was afraid, and in a place he'd never seen before.

*Slowly, with her bow drawn, Nara crept out from behind the tree.* "What is your business in these woods and are you alone? And I would suggest that you answer me truthfully... I don't take fondly to liars..."

She seemed strangely familiar," I- I don't know. Honestly. I fell asleep at my desk, trying to finish my book, and then I just woke up here... I don't even know where Here is..." His eyes were wide and if you looked you could see honesty and fear, and confusion, all swirling around in brown and blue pools.

*Nara stared at him for a moment, silently debating on whether or not she should believe him. Finally, she lowered her bow. She briefly glanced over her shoulder in the direction of the others, not wanting to take her eyes off of this stranger for long.* "He's safe, my friends!" *She listened to make sure that she heard her companions' approaching footsteps before she adressed the human again.* "Very well, sir... Can you at least tell me where you hail from?"

He looked at the approaching group nervously, "... New Jersey... where am I now?" Rylan was glad that she put her bow down, and just stood there.

*Nara raised an eyebrow at his answer.* "New Jersey, you say? I've never heard of such a place." *She glanced at the others as the appeared among the trees behind her. They only gave her blank looks in return, telling her that she wasn't the only one who had never heard of this New Jersey.* "You are currently in the forests of Vancova, just near our kingdom's capital city."

"no.. th-that's impossible... Vancova isn't real... it's just a place in a book I wrote...You're joking with me aren't you? Vancova can't possibly exist..." he started pacing back and forth. "The Legacy of Vancova is a book I wrote a few years ago. I don't know what's wrong with you guys, but this is cruel..." he looked at the people, "you can't possibly be Nara... though you look alot like her..." he looked at 'Nara'. "Red hair, green eyes, sexy elf... and there's the dwarf... twin humans...." he named all of the characters that were there. "but that's impossible... none of this can be real, cause if this was real, then you would be on your way to Vancova after a long journey and endless meetings with the rebellion talking about assassinating the ruler of this place... If this IS real then... of course you wouldn't know where New Jersey was..." he had almost completely forgotten anyone was there. "Vancova, the land opressed by an awful dictator human, who rules ruthlessly and evilly. If you're not a human then you're treated as trash, or if you're a human who's joined the other races, you're killed, just like an elf, or dwarf, or any non-human race would be." he ran through the info on the book. "In The Legacy of Vancova Nara and her group of friends and teammates are traveling long distances to go an kill the king and dictator of Vancova, and have traveled extremely long distances, gaining strength friendship and new members to the team along the way. At first it was only Nara, then the humans joined, then dwarf. They each have suffered somehow by the ruler of Vancova and therefore wilingly joined. And along the way to get to this forest they endured countless battles and fought many soldiers sent by the Ruler of Vancova to stop the rebellion... Now at this point in the book, where they're travelling through the woods, the book is getting close to half way through." "Later Nara falls in love, but I can't remember..." he suddenly grabbed his head in pain, "gah... " Rylan winced, "what's going on...?" he winced again and stepped backwards till he was up against a tree, feeling almost as if he would pass out. Rylan was having trouble standing and held onto the tree with his free hand for support, his other hand grasping his head as he winced again. His legs almost gave out on him, but he continued to hold himself out. The hand on his forehead started to feel warm, and it seemed that Rylan was getting a fever. *maybe that's it... maybe I'm just sick...* and then his knees buckled, and he fell to the ground, soon losing conciousness...

*Nara and her companions listened wide-eyed to the ramblings of the human, not sure where to turn or what to say. When he collapsed, the twins immediately began to rush to his aid, kind-hearted as always, but Nara put out both of her arms to catch them and hold them back.* "No! He could be dangerous! Only someone with much power could know the things he spoke of!"
"Indeed! He could be sent by the King himself!" *The dwarf was eyeing the stranger suspiciously, his thumb rubbing the handle of his axe.*
"But, Nara, look at him! He looks sick. Besides, when he spoke of the King, it sounded as if he despised him. If he has enough power to know so much about us, then perhaps he can aid us! Five of us would stand a better chance than four, especially with powers like his."
*Nara looked at her female companion, biting her lip as she considered it. They were wasting time here... but perhaps he could indeed be an asset.* "Very well. But be careful. Get him comfortable while we make camp here. I'll tend to him with my herbs as soon as the tents are set and the fire made."
*The twins didn't hesitate a moment, lifting the stranger off of the ground. While the male held him, the female took the blankets from their supplies and laid them on the ground. Nara set about collecting firewood while the dwarf pitched the tents. It wasn't long before the group sat in a circle around a small fire pit, waiting for the strange man to awaken. It wasn't yet dark outside, but they kept a fire anyway, deciding it would be best to keep this human warm in the cool shade of the trees. Nara sat the closest to him, observing him in silence. She didn't see much that she could do for him with her knowledge of medicine. In fact, she wasn't even sure what was wrong with him. However, only one thing really mattered to her... How did this stranger know so much about her and her friends? And would he be a danger to them all?*

When Rylan woke up, he didn't open his eyes, just rolled onto his stomache. "god this mattress is as hard as a rock. I gotta jump on it more.." then he lifted his head and opened his eyes. "NO!! It wasn't a dream!" he started hitting his head agaisnt the ground, but he stopped after awhile and sat up. "and this isn't either cause that really hurt..." he rubbed his forehead. "So either I'm insane or on drugs.... but either way... I'm in Vancova, which is impossible but it seems true..." he stood up and looked around. "that means that the capital city is that way, "he pointed in front of him, "a river is that way, but it's stupid to go there since it's heavily guarded by animals and soldiers, "he pointed to his right, "and that's where a very large pack of very large wolves live..." he pointed to his left and gulped. "...but why haven't they attacked. When the group passed through this very clearing, they were attacked by the wolves, and they won. But there are no wolves... oh well, hmm..." he grabbed a stick and knealed down in a patch of dirt. "let's see..." he started drawing Vancova, everything, villages, mines, castles, plains. After a bit of drawing, he had to walk around the map to look at a certain point cause he couldn't just sit there and be able to see certain areas, he had made it too big. So he stood up and looked at the drawing he did of the entire continent. Rylan walked around the map, pointing at certain areas and remembering what happened there. "this town was attacked by this town. This elven forest was completely destroyed by the king's army, but most of the elves made it out alright." He came to a dwarven mine. "the mine! Oh what a battle!" he looked at the dwarf in the group. "that was your mine.." he thought and then looked back at the map. "one of the best battles ever. The kings army came to take the mine and kill the dwarves as they did it, but the weren't suspecting such a tough fight. The humans feeling superior to the small dwarves. But while a dwarv may be smaller than a human, they are stronger than a human. Oh god that battle was great. " he had forgotten once again that anyone was there, as he walked around talking about this battle. "the dwarves would never give their mine up without a fight, and they picked up their axes and clubs, put on their armor and waited for the army to dare come close to their mine. And once they did, the dwarves attacked, showing NO mercy for anyone who worked for the king. Many humans were killed, but few dwarves. But the humans kept coming, there seemed to be an endless supply of them. Lord knows there's alot of humans on any planet, whoo.... So eventually the dwarves had to leave, because you can't reclaim a mine if everyone was dead. So the dwarves left through a back entrance, ashamed of their defeat, but just waiting for the day when they knew when they could take it back. That's why you joined this group." he looked at the dwarf again. "because they were going to kill the king, and if the king's dead the army will fall apart and they'll have little order, so they'll be easier to defeat and the mine will be yours again." he paced around the map again. "this is the spot where the twins grew up." he pointed to a spot on the map. "very small town, few people, but everyone was especially kind, that's how they got their kind nature. But almost the entire village was against the king, not liking how he treated everyone. So one day he attacked. Killing everyone, the twins escaped with their lives, but no one else did... so they joined the rebellion to exact revenge, but they were still kind to others." he pointed to a forest with the stick. "and this was Nara's forest. She had left one day to go adventuring. She came back about a week later and the elves were gone, here family were gone and in their place was the Kings army, they had taken over the forest. Her family had been forced out. many had died in a battle, so they left before they had absolutly no chance of survival, and went to a new forest with other elves. The elders gathered there from a bunch of different groups, and talked. Nara eventually found her group and was told what happened. She was so pissed off and she was the one who came up with the idea of assassinating the King." He looked at the group. "and now here you all are, so close to the capital. d**n! I wish I could remembered what happened! How did the story end?!!" he yelled, pacing and pulling at his hair.

*Once again, the group was completely dumbfounded. They all watched and listened to this man in shock as they each heard their own history repeated to them. Hadar and Dhara were holding hands and Thorin seemed to have a death-grip on his axe. By the end of Rylan's ramblings, Nara was on her feet, her brow furrowed in confusion.* "That's enough! What kind of sorcery is this?! We barely even talk to each other about our pasts and now some stranger is standing here listing every detail of our lives..."

He had forgotten they were there again, "it's not sorcery... I wrote the book... You probably won't believe this, but I wrote all of this... I'm an author, and I guess it's because of me that any of this exists. So I know all of this... because I wrote it... I made it up..." he gave a nervous chuckle. "I'm not a sorcerer... just a writer with a REALLY big imagination..."

*Nara narrowed her eyes at Rylan, not sure what to think of this man.* "Either you're mad or you're a horrible liar. I haven't decided which." *She shook her head lightly.* "We haven't the time for games, sir. We need to reach the city as soon as possible, as you seem to already know, and you've already set us back half a day. We won't be able to make it until tomorrow now. So I suggest that you don't waste any more of our time and be honest with us..."

"I think I may be insane... but I'm not lieing! All of this is true, that's why everything is so weird. What I don't get is why everything is messed up and that I can't remember what happens next in the book! You should have reached the town by now, I remeber writing that, but you haven't..." realization hit him, "You stopped because of me..." he hit his forehead, "that kinda makes sense. I didn't write myself in the story, so me being here changes it, duh... but that means I don't know what's going to happen... the good guys may not win this time..." he mumbled forlornly to himself.
