The sand and dust blew along with the harsh desert wind's, and the three suns beat down on the scorched planet, leaving their powerful mark forever on its surface. A long figure skulked through these scorching sands, tis be the sixth hour, of the sixth day, of the sixth month. And unbeknownst to the girl walking through the sands...tis was her birthday.
As she walked, the shadow of death and torment seemed to follow her every footstep, haunting her every moment. It was her...the infamous woman with the fifty million double-dollar reward on her head. It was...the Desert Rose.
She had her hand on her hat, holding it down to shadow her face and protect it from the harsh scorching wind's that blew at her, scarred her, hurt her. In her free hand, she clutched the pistol that got her so famous...so famous it haunted her. A single tear streamed down her right eye...

(((OOC: Ok, this character I am about to post is not one of my own creation. This is a character from Wild Arms 3, his name and appearance are exact, but his personality from the game may vary with me since I may not know how to exactly catch his essence.)))
The dusty town of Big Ridge. Small, under-populated, this place is known for it's underground crime syndicates. Most of the buildings are either in ruin, or damaged quite a bit, being unresidented. Only the most brave, or insane for that matter, drifters ever pass through this town. One of these drifters in town though, is by the name, Jet Enduro. Gun slinged to back, he is currently hiding in an alley of the back buildings of town, leaning up to the side of one of the houses, contemplateing of who knows what.

A small town lay jsut ahead, though she didn't know its name, judging by the looks of it she would find a place to hide. She slowly made her way into the small town, kicking a rock as she went. Her footstep's echoed in the hollowed place, sending back one of the most errie skin-crawling sound's she had ever heard.
Still, she walked on in, going toward a place she deemed safe: An alley way.

Jet listened to the footsteps of someone approaching, opening his eyes to watch out, and readying his hand so he could reach for his gun.

Rayne approached the alley, and lucky for her it was completely deserted...or so she thought. With a sigh she opened the chamber of her pistol and emptied out the empty shell casings. The sound of the brass hitting the floor echoed through the alley. She began loading more bullets into the Desperado's six-shot cyclinder, spinning it, and closing it, letting fate decide the next chamber. She sighed and put it in her holster, leaving it open losely so she could grab it easily. "Where am i..."

*Merle patrolled the streets like a hawk, waiting for some sign of her prey... The fugitive had been heading this way and Merle doubted that she would pass by a city without stopping. Her good eye darted over every building, ever person to pass, just watching and waiting. It was then that she saw her pass into an alley way just ahead... Merle couldn't believe her luck. Had she been anyone else, she might have smiled at that little gift that fate had brought her... but Merle hadn't smiled in years. Her footsteps were quick but silent as the wind howled through the streets, lightly tossing her short hair. She stopped at the corner of the alley, pressing her back to the wall as she listened to the metallic sounds coming from the alley... casings. Her gun poised and ready, Merle waited until she heard that voice speak... and then she made her move. She turned the corner and raised her gun, her blue-gray eye focused on the woman in front of her.* "Simply in the wrong place at the wrong time... Make this easy for both of us and place your weapon on the ground."

"You honestly beleive you can take me down don't you..." The Desert Rose said, continueing to look at the spent shell casing's on the ground. She stood up from her spot, leaning against the wall, and turned her back on Merle. "I doubt you'd have the gal to take a cold-hearted 'killer' like me down..." She spat, begining to slowly walk away from the hunter. She smiled to herself as she pulled the Desperado from its holster, and pulled the hammer back. As she went she cast a glance over her shoulder, slightly enough so that Merle couldnt see. "Your eye deceives you in so many ways..."

Jet heard the mutter of some voices coming from the next alley over, however, Jet just stood back on his own two feet, and left his end of the alley, keeping his heand on the handle of his Airget-lamh. When he reached the corner to the other alley, he drew his gun, and held it up right, staying out of sight from the others within the aleey.

"You underestimate me and it will be the last mistake you ever make. Now for the last time, Rose. Drop the gun. I'll either walk you in... or carry you in a body bag. I'll deliver you one way or the other. It's your choice." *A click from Merle's gun served as a warning that she was perfectly ready to fire... All it would take was a squeeze of the trigger...*

She smiled, the hammer on her gun was already in the firing position. "No...it seems you underestimate me..." She said, continueing to walk forward, bring her hand around. She was ready to fire a shot into the womens gun if she shot, the pistol she had was perfectly aligned with Merle's hand, although it was concealed in her coat. She smiled to herself, her alacrity and dexterity far surpassed that of the foolish bounty hunter, and if that thing with her adreniline kicked in she would have the fight in no time...but the mystery was how the thing worked. Once it went on it was total chaos for anyone in Rayne's path...including herself.
