Raff caught up with amazing speed considering his appearance. He could be quite athletic when he wanted to be. "To what far off lands are we headed?"

"Whatever far off lands are closest." She said, facesing straight forward. "You're quick, old man. Where you from?"

"I come from no where and everywhere. I have lived in many places on this world." Raff enjoyed being cryptic with his speech. It left people free to think of him whatever they wanted. In that way he could find true friends.

"You ain't gonna be talking like that the whole time, are you?" Kyra asked.
She wasn't paying attention, and didn't notice the creature before it was on her.
"Wha-"
She was getting irritable by then, and threw whatever it was off her and into a concrete wall. Looking at it, it reminded her of an oversized housecat, though it's teeth seemed to large for its mouth and three tails swished at the over end. She also notices, before it came at her again, that it has six legs.
"Not a pet, is it?"

Aldur was way ahead of everyone else finding his way into some grass. He was headed to where had been before three towns away a long distance but well worth the trip.

Raff looked the cat in the eyes and mumbled something under his breath. The cat sat down and licked its paw. "You'll find me somewhat useful as a companion. And I'll speak normally if you like." Raff continued ahead without giving the cat another look.

Kyra looked at the man, the cat-thing, the man again. "How'd you do that? And why? It's things like that that made me tell the little bra- uh, girl earlier to go home. What did you do anyway?"

"A simple trick well known to my ancestors on Earth. It comes in useful from time to time. We Atlantians can be very persuasive at times." This was the most fun Raff had had in a long time. Rocks don't get out much. He was glad that he decided to join in the action instead of just watch it.

"Earth? I've heard of it once or twice. Where is it?" Kyra asked.

"Lost in the past. Where it will remain." Raff hated talking about Earth with those who didn't know that it was their true home. "Where are we headed anyway?"

"You asked that earlier, though differently." Kyra grinned.
She glanced back briefly, hoping to see one of the others coming as well.

"You answered vaguely to a vague question. I hoped for a more frank answer to a more frank question." Raff noticed her hesitation in leaving. "Should we wait for them to follow or return and ask them to come with us?"

"But, the sooner we leave, the sooner we arrive somewhere else. I really prefer night travel, and cities like this stink. Depending on how much you listened back at the fountain, you should know what I am, and that my sences are more hightened that a humans."

"I heard well, but it's obvious that you want them to come with us. I don't care if they do or not. The adventures lie ahead of us, not standing still in that town. Let's go." Raff walked on wondering if the other people would be coming with them or not.

Kyra watched the strange old man a moment, and shrugged. If they came, they came. If not, oh well. Though that one guy back there was kinda cute...
