Demonic activity has been getting more and more frequent. Theodoric contemplated this as he tried to get back to the temple that he has called home for twelve years after the Taoist Master, Jun Ki, took him in and trained him. However, he was more worried about his wounds as he walked down the street in the dead of night. Theodoric has been on a one man rampage trying to find the demon that cursed him. In doing so, he became a symbol of fear to all demons. His wounds were inflicted from his most recent campaign. He had found a demon nest and in trying to wipe it out, he almost lost his life. He managed to reach the temple steps before he passed out from his wounds.

Aurelie shivered as she walked the cold, dark streets. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she walked past Jun Ki's temple. "Oh!"She gasped as she tripped over a lump on the pavement. Rolling on her side she peered at the shadowy mass. She instantly wished she had stayed at home. A man covered in blood lay beside her, instantly she forgot her own souls pain and began to bandage him up.

Theodoric felt that he was close to death, but he refused to die without avenging his family. Suddenly, he felt something hit him. He heard a woman gasp as she tripped over him. A moment later, he felt something rapping around his arms. He opened his eyes long enough to see a young woman bandaging him, but she was crying. He was about tell her thank you and ask what was the matter. But before he could say anything, he went unconscious from loss of blood.

Aurelie peered closely at the man she was bandaging up. 'He's suffered so much...' She shook her head and looked around, seeing no life forms near she cast a healing spell over the ravaged man. Then calling her cat companion Celion to her, she began the long journey home carrying the unknown man with her.

Theodoric awoke in a shock. A small creature had just awakened him from his slumber. Confused, he looked down and saw a small cat looking up at him purring. "Well, now who might you be?" he asked, reaching down to pet the small creature. Suddenly, he noticed that his wounds from the previous night were gone. 'What happened to all the scars I got,' he thought,' And why am I even still alive?' He looked around his surroundings, cautiously, now realizing that he was not at the temple. Suddenly he heard foot steps coming his way. He jumped up and hid behind the door ready to attack the first thing to set foot in the room.

Aurelie nervously drummed her nails on the hard marble countertops in the kitchen. A timer sounded and she pulled fresh bread out of the oven to cool. 'I wonder if hes up yet...' and with that thought she made her way up stairs to the guest rooms. When she reached the second floor landing she stopped. He had semed a litle fierce and warlike when she'd found him two days ago and he'd had some horrible fits and nightmares even under her sleeping draughts. She cast a small sheild spell about her then continued down the corridor, pausing only once morebefore entering the dark room.

The door opened and a figure step through the door. Theodoric had always been taught to trust his instincts. But right now he was confused and he only did what his gut told him to, which was to fight. He lunged at the dark figure, but before he could lay a hand on the person, something stopped him and threw him against the far wall. " What on Earth?!" he said as he got up ready to pounce again. Suddenly, the lights came on and Theodoric saw who had entered the room. It was the girl from last night. "Your the girl from last night," he said, realizing what he almost did. He looked down and saw that she had been bringing food up to him. He didn't know what had happened that night he passed out, but he felt bad for what he had just done. However, all he could say was a weak apology," I'm sorry about that, Ms..." he trailed off waiting for her to tell him her name. Something was strange about this girl, and she didin't seem too surprised from him attacking her. However, he decided to figure that out later.

Aurelie shook a bit as she entered the room. She saw the man attack her and she smiled a little at him flying across the room but winced as he hit the wall. 'I hope that doesn't cause any new injuries.' she thought. He got up a little shaky, automatically sliding back into his fighting stance. Then he recognized her, "Your the girl from last night. I'm sorry ms..." he trailed off. Aurelie smiled and set the tray down on the bed. "Come and sit down so i can check you over. With your luck you'll be hurt again." She laughed softly, " And so you know, you've been here a two days now. My name is..." She paused, could she trust him with that? She felt something from him, a strange aura he carried. Would he even recognize what her name foretold? "My name is Aurelie."

She seemed a little amused at his attempt to harm her, but he tried to pay it no attention as she set the tray down on the bed. "Come and sit down so I can check you over. With your luck you'll be hurt again." She laughed under her breath, "And so you know, you've been here two days now. My name is..." she hesitated. This got Theodoric's attention again. 'Why did she stopped from introducing herself,' Theodoric thought. "My name is Aurelie," she finally managed to say. "Aurelie. That's Latin isn't it? Well, it's a beautiful name. I think it means golden. Well, I guess it's my turn for introductions. My name is Theodoric. I believe I owe you a proper thanks for taking care of my wounds." As he spoke, Theodoric thought about what had occurred.'I guess I lost more blood than I thought that night to have been unconscious for two days straight. But that still brings me back to why am I even still alive. I should be dead, but how am I still breathing after going through that gauntlet of hades?' He walked over to the bed and sat down so Aurelie could check him over, but he was still confused as to why he was still alive. However, no matter what happened to him, he knew in his gut that Aurelie was the reason that he was still alive and he owed her a great debt for his life. Something that he intended to repay in full.

Aurelie gave a small sigh of relief when he sat down and said, "Aurelie. Thats latin isn't it? Well, it's a beautiful name. I think it means golden. I guess it's my turn for introductions. My name is Theodoric. I believe I owe you a proper thanks for taking care of my wounds."
Aurelie smiled and shook her head, "Non, french. Theodoric... that has a sense of power to it." She bit her lip, how could she check him over without revealing her powers and what if he was one of them? She lifted her head and looked in his eyes. The deep green shifted and an uneasy feeling crept into her stomach. He wasn't wholly human. 'Please,' she prayed, 'Please don't be on thier side. "How did you get these wounds, Theodoric?" She asked softly. He wouldn't kill her if she'd healed him...would he? ' He can try but i'm not just any witch.'

(May I pop in? And hope yah don't mind Saturnyne that my character knows your character....sorta..)
Chroì stood in front of the temple, his blank red eyes gazing at the impossing structure as he mentally weighed his options. He could go in and inquire if anyone had seen Theodoric.
He was supposed to meet him two days ago, outside the manor near the edge of town. Instead, all he had got to meet was a bunch of squirrels. That and a particularly purple demon wearing a bowlers hat. In all his years of being a mage, he had never seen a stranger sight.
Chroì shook his head as he went up the steps muttering, "This is the last time I'll follow on Emil's words......" He took a look around and stopped a brunette as she passed him by. "Excuse me but have you seen a male human come here? About yay tall," he held up a hand a bit below his shoulder."has green eyes, dark hair with a tint of red in them? Wears a trench coat?" The woman, thankfully, didn't seem phased at him apperance and merely pointed towards the far corner when he saw him.
He made his way over to him, noticing a petite woman talking with him. He hesitated for a moment just what to do.....

(No problem. All are welcome to join in. It makes it more fun that way.)
Theodoric left Aurelie's house and went back to the temple. He was still confused as to what had happened that night he took out the demon's nest, but he was quite relieved when he got back to Jun Ki's temple. Even he needed a break from all thoughts of demons. So, he went about he daily routine of chores and helping worshippers allowing his mind to rest. But he still couldn't stop thinking about Aurelie. He didn't know what it was about her, but it unnerved him a little.
Theodoric was finishing up a conversation with one of the new temple priestesses when he spotted Chroi out of the corner of his eye, and he looked very upset. 'Oh no. Why is he here? I better finish this conversation before Chroi comes over here,' he thought,' He can be quite difficult when he's mad and I don't need him scaring the new priestesses.' Theodoric thought of Chroi as the closest thing to a brother that he had. He met him while in his werewolf form. Chroi stopped him from going berserk that night after Theodoric had fought a particularly strong demon. Chroi fought him a knocked him unconscious while still weak from the fight. He spared his life when he saw Theodoric transform back. They became close friends after that night and rivals at the same time. Theodoric finished his conversation with the priestess and walked over to speak with Chroi...

((I promise to be on top of things when all of these finals are over. such a slacker i am...))
Aurelie stood at the top of her steps and watched Theodoric leave. He hadn't answered any of her questions, he'd just left. Aurelie was worried about him. She didn't know why she cared but something was telling her that he was going to need her again. Celion rubbed her ankles and walked down stairs, stoppong and sitting at the door. "He's not coming back so soon, Celion." And with that she made her way back to her guest room to clean up the bandages and a tear ran down her cheek. 'Alone again in this old house.' She laid down on the bed and fell asleep, determined that when she awoke she'd find again. 'I didn't heal him so he could go back out there and get himself killed.'

Chroì smirked at Theodoric as he came up to him. "You really ought to stop cleaning out demon nests alone you know. It really isn't good for the bones."
He chuckled as Theodoric gave him a look which plainly told him to shut up. His mood shifted from semi-light hearted to serious as he said, "I need to speak with you. I have grave news." His voice lowered, "I have received news that a particularly nasty band of demons is making their way down to this town. Don't ask me why, I haven't figured that out yet. Sure fact is that they're determined to burn this town right down to the ground."

((Hi, guys ^^ I hope you don't mind if I join. Look, Forky! I'm here. Whoot. )) The doors to the large Victorian manor swung open, a very miffed woman barging through. With a slam of the door, she plopped down her bags, muttering incoherently about irresponsible sisters and the evils of work. Sighing, but no less irritated, she walked into the living room, arching a brow at the blinking 'new message' button on the answering machine. She pressed it. "You have fifty-three new messages," the recorder chimed. Emerald green eyes narrowed into slits, and she pressed the button again, not surprised that the messages, all of them, were from her. To her sister. The sister that obviously forgets there is even an answering machine in the house. She took a deep, calming breath, brushing her long chestnut colored hair from her child-like face, trying to forgive her sister for worrying her so much... For making her come home early and... "Aurelie!" she bellowed, bolting up the stairs to bang on her sister's door. "Dork! I've been gone for two weeks and you don't even..... Ugh!" She hit the door again, wincing as she rubbed her sore hand. "I'm going to smack you so hard, you'll see stars for days. Get out here!" ((Ahem. She's not too happy, is she? ^^ )
