Fahne sat in the seat near the isle, listening to the choir. He adored their singing, reminding him briefly of Israfel, a poem written by Edgar Allan Poe.

*As she sang, Rayna couldn't help but glance out at the church to see if Fahne was still there. She saw him sitting there, listening intently to their music. She grew a little nervous, singing a bit more softly. There was something strange about that man... but she liked it. She just didn't want to make a fool out of herself in front of him. However, one look from her choirmaster told her that she had better sing louder or risk another 15 minutes of practice. Reluctantly, Rayna lifted her voice again, although now she had to try her hardest to sound good to their one man audience. After an hour of constant singing, practice ended. Rayna thanked the Lord that she didn't have to practice her solo that day.*

Fahne smiled lightly as their practice ended. Best music he had ever hear, of course the only experience with music he had, was with the stuff Rayne was blasting, so yes, it was the best he had ever heard.

*After saying good bye to the choir, Rayna quickly made her way back to the regular pews, seeing that Fahne was still there. She smiled a little, shaking her head.* "Still here? I'm surprised we haven't scared you off yet."

"No," he shook his head, smiling as he stood up, "you cannot scare me that easily," he chuckled, "anyway, I wanted to tell you that I enjoyed the choirs' singing before I departed."

*Rayna smiled brightly, feeling better about their performance.* "Thank you. Music's my life so that's probably the best compliment you could give me." *She laughed a little before glancing at her watch.* "Anyway... It's getting late. Are you sure you're going to be ok for the night?"

He nodded, "I'll be perfectly fine." Turning towards the doors he began walking, "I wish you the best of luck on your music career." he smiled warmly and walked to the door.

"Thanks... See you around..." *Rayna smiled a little although she was disappointed to see him leave. She didn't normally get even the slightest bit attached to people she just met but he seemed different.*

Once Fahne was outside, he let out his wings, and went straight to the roof again, *whooooooo! I found her!!* "Yes!" he cheered.

*Once Fahne was gone and Rayna said good bye to her mother, she headed out of the church, not bothering to bow at the altar this time. Sighing, she made her way over to her jeep, getting in and cranking it up, her rock music immediately coming through the speakers. She turned it down a little, for once wanting to be able to think properly. She sat there for a moment, replaying the day in her mind... Then, sighing, she simply shook her head and pulled out of the parking lot, heading home.*

Fahne saw Rayna get into the jeep and drive away, since he was her guardian, it was his duty to protect her, so he spread his wings and silently flew the sky, making sure not to go into any very bright areas.
(holy cow, that's one huge sentence.lol)

((lol. You're nuts. ;D ))
*When Rayna got home she immediately went up to her room since she was the only one home. She started up her 3 Doors Down cd and turned it to "Away From The Sun" before barely opening the glass doors that led out to her small balcony. As the soft breeze brought some of the fresh night air into the room, she took a seat at her computer and began checking her e-mail, singing all the while. When she got bored with that, she brushed her teeth and changed into a tank top and shorts to sleep in. However, instead of going straight to bed, she went outside, leaning against the railing of her balcony. She sighed softly, listening to the music playing inside along with the sounds of the night. She stared up at the stars, remembering how she had once wished upon them... but now she was long past wishing for things. They never came true. She hung her head a little, her dark hair falling into her face. She heard "Going Down In Flames" playing and simply shook her head, heading back inside and closing the glass doors behind her. She quickly shut off her music and turned out the lights, climbing into her bed. She lay there for a short while, staring at the moonbeams that fell across her bed and floor, before finally drifting off to sleep.*

((lol, I have that c.d. it's so kool.))
Fahne had landed on a nearby window and watched Rayna as she stood on her balcony. He waited for awhile, and when he was sure she was asleep flew to her balcony. Kneeling down, he stayed in the little door leading out. All night he stayed like that, keeping watch over Rayna.

*Rayna woke up the next morning with the sun shining brightly through her glass doors. Grumbling about the light, she reluctantly stretched before getting up. It was then that she noticed the clock...* "Oh sh**! Not again!" *She quickly threw off her pajamas, quickly grabbing an outfit from her closet. After changing she put on her usual bracelets and belts, brushed her hair, brushed her teeth, and practically flew down the stairs. She hurriedly grabbed a Pop-Tart from the cabinet, yelled good bye to her family, and rushed out the door and out to her jeep. She ate on the way to the cafe where she worked, barely making it in time. As she jogged through the door, her boss' voice reached her ears.*
"That has to be the closest call yet."
"What can I say? I'm daring." *She shrugged lightly, a bit of a smirk on her lips.*
"You mean lazy?"
"That too." *He simply rolled his eyes at her, shaking his head.*
"You're covering the music counter today. Get on it."
"Sir. Yes, sir." *With a mock salute, Rayna strolled over to the register in the music store of the cafe. Once she was behind the counter, she put in a Simple Plan cd and relaxed, waiting for a customer.*

(((Yay!!! I get to post now! WHOO HOO!!!!! Okay... uhm... right now don't ask me how or even if Athan knows who Rayna is....cause I really don't know... heh heh....)))
Athan sighed, bored out of his wits and frustrated beyond belief. He knew Fahne was on this wretched planet somewhere, somewhere close at that, but he STILL couldn't find him. Of course it HAD been his idea to come here in the first place, but that was beside the point. Shoving his hands into his pockets, he watched idly as a chick of about eighteen rushed into the store across the street, presumably late for work. Athan sighed, rolled his eyes and began to make his way down the street. There was NOTHING interesting here.
After about an hour of flitting about different places within the town, Athan found himself back at the store he had seen earlier. Having nothing better to do, and in the mind to perhaps cause some trouble, he quickly crossed the street and waited outside the shop for a moment before ducking in the door. Athan quickly made his way across the store to the music portion of the place, and found the girl he had seen in such a hurry earlier standing idly beyond the counter. He approached her, for no reason in particular except that he felt like it, and leaned nonchalantly against the structure.
'You look bored,' he said rather matter-of-factly.
