Speaking of getting going, Pinata, why haven't you visited the lowly Conclave? I've read some 60+ books since you last posted in whichever-month-it-was late in 2009, and you don't know a single one of them! Why, this is unacceptable. Not knowing this crucial information could cause gaps in your all-knowing knowledgies, holes in your brain where little brain-critters can nest and give you brain-critter-itis. I hear people who have that can't get erections. Better hurry! (Seriously though, no reason to bother with all the books I've read in the past (54 so far this year! ) but I do miss your book-related banter...even though my tastes have changed dramatically since last year (much more science nonfiction and literature, I'm afraid!)

I'll come back to The Conclave as soon as I have time. As for books, I did finish one so I should post about it there.

As for books, I did finish one so I should post about it there. Hurray! What was it!? (Note: I've become a biblioholic. Be warned!)

I have another question about the rp. When we go into the other world and then come back, how much time passes? Is it the same amount of time or does no time pass? Just wondering.

Hurray! What was it!? (Note: I've become a biblioholic. Be warned!) Robin Cook's Mutation. He usually writes medical thrillers, but this one's got more horror influences... it was inspired by Frankenstein. Kind of tame in the scares department until the last few chapters, though. I have another question about the rp. When we go into the other world and then come back, how much time passes? Is it the same amount of time or does no time pass? Just wondering. For every month that passes in the other world, one week passes in our world. So there's a bit of a difference... a year there is only a couple of months here, which will be understandably disorienting for our characters when they come back to the "real world" for the last leg of the adventure after spending nearly a full year in the other world.

Oh, medical thrillers, I've been reading a lot of medical history and science lately. I leave me a good cholera outbreak, I do...
*Ahem* ...

I leave me a good cholera outbreak, I do... That was a typo, right?

Nope! One of the best books I read last year was The Ghost Map by Steven Johnson. Amazing nonfiction about one of the Cholera outbreaks in Victorian London. Of course, Cholera < Ebola, but still...

I think he meant "leave." As in, shouldn't it be, "I need me a good cholera outbreak"?

Oh! Right, I didn't even notice that! "Leave" was a typo, it was supposed to be 'love.' I love me a good cholera outbreak. Haha, sorry...I didn't even catch it when I read the quote. I'm going blonde*, I think. *I mean blind! Edit: Fixed code-related shortcomings!

Also, codefail. Use BBCode [], not HTML <>.
