Mammoth turned and walked out the door, waving his arm for her to follow. He stopped and turned around to see if she had listened to him and had put on the cloak. If not, he would tell her to, but he wanted to see if she had good attention to detail. Before heading off he looked at the Kirin and knew that everyone would realize who she was with Kirin in tow. Mammoth went out to look and there wasn't anyone out in the streets, so he took the gamble that they could get to the smithy unmolested.
He was going to head for the blacksmith. With his last bit of coin, he was going to buy a weapon for her. Seeing how quick and agile she was, it would have to be light, and it would have to allow for a quick strike. He decided upon either a long dagger or a short blade, probably a pair of them so she could parry.
They got to the blacksmith without running into any issue. Mammoth walked into the blacksmith and got the attention of the smithy, who was working late into the night, convincing him to sell was a difficult task, but once he had done so, he was able to see what wares the smithy had. He looked at the stock and came upon two short gladius swords. They were likely a bit heavy for her, but that would be good, it would build her strength. Mammoth spent all but a few coppers on the two weapons, the sheathes, and the belt for the sheathes. He turned out and handed the weapons to Glacia.
"We can't stay here tonight... We'll camp a little ways out in the fields."
It was cold, but they had come far enough south that it wasn't terrible. It was uncomfortable, but another advantage of the cloak he had bought Glacia was that it would help to keep her warm against the cold that she was no doubt unprepared for after living down in the crevice.

"ok." she nodded after he bought the weapons.
She had tossed the cloak on before leaving, mostly because she didn't want to carry it. The fact that her horn bothered people really hadn't clicked yet.
Glacia walked with Kirin after him, getting a better look at the town now that no one was chasing her.

The group left the city quickly after Mammoth got finished with the blacksmith. The cold never bothered him, as a Wyrris he didn't really struggle with handling the cold. That being true, the current temperature was only chilly by a typical human's standards. Mammoth traveled silently for the trip. Likely it was because he spent so long in solitude that he didn't know what to say to someone he was traveling with. Nonetheless, the night was full by the time they reached a point far enough away from town that Mammoth deemed it good to make camp.
"We'll make camp here." He said, "Unless ya ain't tired."
He didn't know how long she had been traveling up to that point, so he gave her the option. Mammoth's training had given him the ability to go a day or two without sleep before it began to bother him, so he'd leave it up to Glacia.

"do you wanna keep going? I don't mind." she shrugged, "what do you think we should do?"

"Lets keep goin' then."
Mammoth continued to press forward until the sun came up, having covered a large bit of ground. He stopped for a moment and knelt down to the ground, inspecting something that had left tracks almost impossible to notice to the untrained eye. It was a rabbit's tracks. He knelt there for a while before he spotted a rather large rabbit in the distance. It was chewing on some of the tall grass of the plains.
"Ya hungry?"

Her eyes widened, "you eat rabbits?" she had a hard time imagining that. There had been others in her home that ate meat, but she couldn't imagine it herself.

"Yeah, rabbits make for good food, especially cooked over a good fire. Ya never eaten one before? Lemme get it before it gets away..."
Mammoth waited, sitting there quietly, and pulling out a knife from his pack on his hip. The knife was primarily a skinning knife, but it served him well in hunting small game. He inched closer to the rabbit to get a better chance to get it. He kept watch for any sign it was going to move, inching closer to it while staying low.
Mammoth got within a range he felt comfortable and the rabbit had hardly moved. Mammoth raised the knife up, holding it by the blade, and snapped his wrist forward, letting fly the knife. It covered a few dozen feet in a split second, stabbing through the rabbit's neck as it flopped over to the ground. Mammoth smirked and got up, walking over to the rabbit and picking it up off the ground. Pulling the knife free, he checked the kill to make sure it didn't have an visible signs of disease. Carrying the easily 4 pound rabbit back to Glacia and Kirin, Mammoth was happy with his kill.

Glacia paled and her eyes widened. Kirin shook her head and walked away to find some plants to eat.
"y-you actually EAT rabbits?" the thought was disgusting.

Mammoth was confused, he didn't understand.
"So what do ya eat then?" He asked while walking toward the lone tree near them. Once he got there he broke some branches off. Once he had a few for kindling, he took out his sword and cut off a large branch with one powerful strike. It fell to the ground and he chopped it into a few pieces, kicking up dirt with each strike. Putting his blade back in its sling, he picked up the wood and moved away from the tree slightly.
He piled up the wood, setting a larger branch aside, and grabbed some grasses. He struck the flint against his knife and lit the grass before setting the grass under the kindling. Once he had a good fire going, he went about skinning the rabbit while waiting for the response from Glacia.

"I'll eat this," she pulled up a few blades of grass, "before I ever eat a rabbit."

Mammoth shrugged. He didn't understand what was wrong with eating a rabbit.
"As long as ya can find somethin' ya can eat."
He cut the rabbit around the neck and started skinning it clean. He removed the head and set it aside. Once it was skinned he set that out on the ground spread out by the fire. He then cut out the entrails and proceeded to clean off whatever remained of skin or fur on the rabbit.
Now that it was ready, Mammoth took his knife and cut a point onto the stick he had set aside. He stuck the stick through the head of the rabbit and through the body and placed it on the fire to cook. He grabbed the skin of the rabbit and cut off bad parts of it, before laying it near the fire to dry out. He could sell it later to a fur trader.
He looked up to see if Glacia had found something to eat, or if she was still looking at Mammoth in horror.

She made a face as he cut up the rabbit, but then went to find her own food.
Kirin was already eating, but paused to help her find something. It took a bit, but she found some edible wild mushrooms, and some berries, eating those.

Mammoth had finished cooking the rabbit and was glad that Glacia had found something to eat. He had finally deduced that she didn't eat meat, and he didn't know what he couldn't figure that out from her reactions before. He still didn't understand it, he'd never seen anyone who didn't eat meat, but nonetheless, he wouldn't fight it.
He started eating his meal rather barbarically, forgetting that he was in company of others for the first time in years. He devoured what was there and then sucked the meat off the skull before tossing it in the fire. He pitched the stick in the fire and sat back for a moment. He hadn't eaten in a few days and getting that meal was a relief. The low fat content in rabbit was dangerous for a man his size, however, as without it he could technically starve on all that lean meat. For now, he would be alright, but he was saving his last piece of jerky that was in his pack for something more important.
Mammoth finally rose to his feet and picked up his sword.
"Glacia, when ya ready, get ya swords, I wanna teach ya the basics before we get to the valley... Could get dangerous..."
