The bell rang for the final time in the first day back and students began rushing out of class to their homes. Griff had been sitting cross legged on the poorly balanced desk until now, confounding anyone else that tried to do the same. He walked over to the teacher and pushed his chair to the side, sending the teacher to roll away shouting curses at the boy as he ransacked the desk, quickly pulling out a bag of candy before jumping out the window into a tree. He climbed down and made his way to the woods, ignoring the teacher shouting at him to "Get back here and take your detention!"
He figured he may as well explore a new section today. Not like his parents would care if they lost track of him for all of an hour. He pulled out a jawbreaker and stuffed it in his mouth, just looking around the forest for something interesting. Though at this point, interesting would be a tree he could easily lay down in...

Fadora lazily walked out of the school yard. She dragged her book bag behind her, letting it drag against the ground. "Arghs.. I need sleep." She whined as her face controrted into a yawn. One thing she didn't do was sleep during late hours of the night, she stayed up gazing at the stars through her window. After her yawn she decided she'd head home, and not waste perfect daylight to sleep. On her way she tripped over a chicken, "d**n birds !! No wonder we cook and eat you, you have no brains !" Fadora started into a fit, until she absentmindedly fell down a small hill, right into a large tree.
"Umph," She rubbed her lolling head,"Why si everything against me!" she hollered towards the sky.

(( LOL ducky, what an entrance, or exit... XD. Let me know if there is anything wrong with the character abilities Crow...))
Travis' head was barely a few inches above his desk, resting over the back of his hand, waiting for the bell. He was about to dose off when he heard the bell. It was a history class and he had already read the whole book an year back. He always found history interesting but never the classes.
He 'woke up' and yawned loudly and got a glaring stare from the teacher and a few muffled laughs from a few of the students still around him. He mouthed the word "Sorry" and gave an innocent grin that seemed to satisfy the teacher for now. He had been trying to find Fadora all day to make proper introductions but have been unsuccessful as he had been crowded with friends from last year when they heard he was back.
He quickly made his way through the crowd towards the door and saw Fadora shouting at a chicken. He would have laughed but when she dissapeared over the edge, he stared with wide eyes and froze for a moment. He snapped back when he heard her voice again, against shouting something inaudible. He ran towards the edge, stopped there and looked down to see her stuck in the tree. He asked while trying to think how to get her out, "You ok down there?"

Fadora gazed up towards the boy, and raised an eyebrow, "Are you talking to me?" She snorted and leaned on her kness to give her balence as she got up. She brushed her clothes off, and caught her balence before she fell again. Her dark orbs fell on the boy again, as she waited for an answer. She picked up her book bag, and stuffed everything back in it.

"Well, there is no one else around, except the chicken, so yeah obviously...", he said and carefully made his way down the slope to see if she needed any help. He continued when he got on stable ground, under the tree and looked at the young girl. She seemed fine for now so he continued, "You are Fadora, right? I was with you in this class, an year back. Do you remember?"

A small head with snow-white hair popped out from behind a nearby tree, greedy little eyes beaming at the familiar face coming in her direction. No doubt, he had already seen her, but she didn't care in the least; it was better that way, as she was ready for him today. Ducking behind the tree, Meredeth waltzed around to the other side, coming up behind him as he passed by.
"Hello, big brother" her eerie little voice, high-pitched yet seemingly far ahead of her age in tone, stated. "So how was your day in academic Hades? More of the same, I presume? How many teachers did you irritate today? Need I remind you of my record of five teachers in three hours without a single detention." Her ghostly-white face broke out with a smile that seemed practically plastered to her face as she fearlessly continued following behind the boy, who happened to be nearly twice her own size and age, much akin to a lost puppy following a random person home.
However, Meredeth knew who he was, and she also knew that Griff wasn't going to his house. He rarely ever went straight home, but she rarely ever followed him for far outside of school. Today, she was determined to follow him wherever he went; of course, that's what she'd told herself the last time, and for that matter, every time before that...

"Hmm....That is a nice record....I only managed to ransack a desk for my confiscated candy today...." He took out a lollypop from his pocket and put that in his mouth too, having already finished his jawbreaker he needed something else. "You just going to follow me around like usual, or do you actually have a higher purpose today?"

*kk me back now. hope this doesn't ruin any plot you might have had, Crow...*
As she expected, he acted completely unphased by her remarks, but she was quick on her wit nonetheless. "Possibly, but you wouldn't be interested in what my little mind finds amusing. Besides torturing you, of course. But 'tis not as if you didn't know that already. Who would I be if I did not poke and prod you ever so often for my amusement?"
Almost as if to make her point literal, she picked up a nearby stick and playfully jabbed it in his direction, never actually touching him but coming uncomfortably close several times. Meredeth knew better than to actually incite his annoyance, because he had the practically predictable male mindset to retort with physical means, even though he tried acting like he was something very different. If there was one weakness in her guard, Meredeth could not stand physical violence towards her, and couldn't defend herself well enough from it to make any sort of viable revenge beyond meaningless pranks; words couldn't quite make the black eye a clenched fist could.
She herself could not bring her mind to actually harm someone on purpose, although by accident she had a tendency to cause bodily harm; once, Meredeth had temporarily blinded a teacher, caused one student to bleed from his wrist, and another was knocked unconscious when one of her "experiments" meant for another teach had gone off on him instead. And that was all before lunch! She couldn't fondly remember that day, however, as she'd been forced into detention for the teacher thing, once a kid ratted on her.
Still, 'big brother' had the occasional surprise that caught her off-guard, and hence why she continued following him every day after school, while most others tended to shy away from him. Rather abruptly, she dropped the stick and rushed up to him, grabbing the lanky boy by the arm and tugging at it exclaiming in an unusually excited tone "Come on! Let's play for once. I have finally come up with a nasty little surprise to use upon that mean ol' butcher who gave Mr. Thomp that rotten meat a few weeks ago! I just know he would love to watch all of it."
For anyone who had kept up with the local news, this would be an unsettling statement, considering that one Harold Thompson, decorated WWII veteran and the elderly man most kids called Old Man Thompson, had died three weeks ago of food poisoning from some bad pork he'd bought from the butcher. Equally upsetting was the fact that, before and even after he died, Meredeth had visited his house after he'd moved in, unafraid of his old age unlike the other kids, and actually seemingly interested in his past in a most academic manner.
At his funeral, she was seen holding a sealed envelope, of which she had laid in the casket next to him when she paid her respects, even shedding tears for him, something she'd done for no one else up until then. No one had asked what was in there, and she had never said. Some speculated that they were perverted love letters, and others that they were some sorts of secrets from the war. But no one had asked, and she never told. She did, however, keep the original copies of whatever they were with her, somewhere secret where they wouldn't be found but by her...
But for now, that mattered not, because she wanted to play. And that sometimes ended badly for anyone following her. But her 'jokes' were usually funny enough that one or two kids, and even some of the older ones, followed her... "What say you? Do you wanna see, big brother?"

He didn't move when pulled, but just stood there biting down on the thumb he had placed in his mouth. "That butcher might get nasty if you pull a prank on him....but that's the other reason you wanted me to come, isn't it? Hmm, why not?" He said, turning around and heading in the direction of the town. "But you should keep an eye on the teacher's lounge tomorrow. I have something they're going to love." He kept walking before tripping and falling almost flat on his face. "That's odd....I tripped on something....You didn't see anything there, did you?" He said, slowly standing up from his prone position.

"Well, that's part of the fun, isn't it?" Meredeth beamed a mischievous smile, the kind that makes parents cringe just from looking at it. "And of course I'll be watching, now that I know; your pranks are almost as good as mine. Almost."
When he suddenly tripped, she stopped and looked at him. "I didn't see a thing. Maybe you're just clumsy as usual. you do have a habit of running into things and tripping over them fairly easily." Even so, she was curious now, her attention momentarily adverted to the ground around him. Of course, it was her usual meanness showing through with almost automatic retorts, but she really didn't see a thing that could have tripped him. Perhaps he had tripped himself with his feet? The mystery quickly lost her interest, as she really wanted to pull her naughty little prank. It was guaranteed at least a few laughs, if not a whole riot...

"Hmm....maybe you're right....I guess I am a little out of it today." He spit out the lollypop stick that he realized would have impaled him and grabbed another jawbreaker. " So, whatcha gonna do to him? Drop a dead cow on him? That would be interesting...." He muttered, a picture of flailing limbs sticking out from under a pile of beef coming to mind.

She stopped for a moment, entertaining the thought. "You know, hadn't thought of that before... But cows are heavy, and there aren't many live ones around here. Could be difficult to pull off something like that, and it might actually hurt him... oh crap, now I forgot what I was going to do in the first place..." Hanging her head, Meredeth sighed, thinking on how she actually had something beyond the usual for once, as her average pranks were beginning to grow old.
However, she soon shrugged it off and decided that there were better things to do than lament about a single loss. "Well, so much for that" Meredeth stated, then inquired in an unusually non-threatening voice "So, what were you doing before I came along? Off adventuring again?"
*yes, i know its a cop-out, but i can't think of anything for it right now x-x*

Fadora gave him a curious look, " I'm quite sorry to say, but no, I don't remember you, I don't really remember anyone, " She blushed of embaressment."ERmm, I guess I shall be on my way." She said as she tried to walk up the hill, but fell yet again, this time her head on teh ground nad her feet in the air. "Arghs, why?" She questioned no one, her obvious annoyance showing. "Stupid town," She sat like that, too lazy to move an inch. She blew her dark brown hair out of her face, and gave a mimicking smile, "Don't say a word."

He raised a brow when he heard her reply, "You don't remember... anyone? How... is that possible and why are you still in this class anyway?" She didn't get to respond as she fell down again trying to climb up the steep slope. He tried to move to stop her from falling but she was on the ground before he could react. He kneeled down in front of the girl and looked at her carefully. He felt there was something odd about the girl but he couldn't really say what. He forgot about it for now when she smiled.
He smiled back but refused to keep quiet and spoke, "My name is Travis. I was with you in this same class a year back. Soo... are we gonna sit here all day or you would like to go anytime soon?"

Fadora gave him a hard stare, "Why are you even wasting your time talking to me?" She replied, quite frankly confused by his sudden interest in speaking with her. She fell onto her side purposely, from an aching back. Stood up, brushed herself off, and picked up her books and put them back in her bag, again. She stood , with a frown on her face, her hair messily displayed, out of its pig tails. She looked as if she had just lost a tug a war, and fell in the mud. She rose an eyebrow, 'The boy should just run along, before he's infected with Fadora cooties.' She thought to herself.
