*oh, right, I was gonna post sometime O.o*
Except for acknowledging Zyphan's presence when she entered, Almi hadn't moved an inch from the window she'd been at this entire time. By now, however, she’d given up hope of seeing him again, thinking now that it was mere illusion of the eyes, someone that looked like her uncle. Turning back, she sighed. So, what now?
She noticed that Zyphan had left, and the pig-man was blubbering something again… what was his name? Almi hadn’t been paying much attention, and much had slipped by her- Waldon! That was it. “Its alright, Wally,” she said, “We ain’t blamin’ you for much of anything… except stealin’ Mierca’s pancakes.” Almi was a bad girl for it, but she gave him a playfully snooty face before calling the waitress around to bring another plate out. To her surprise, it came quickly: “Well, the chef saw what happened. Don’t worry ‘bout it hun; this one’s on the house.”
After paying for the food they had ordered, Almi sat back down in their booth, scooting herself and her food over to give Mierca room to seat herself. Looking back to Waldon, she requested quietly “Won’tcha join us? If ya still hungry after that stack, I guess we could cover something else ya might want.”
Ignnis made his way back into the city, not an easy ordeal as the guards were suspicious. Still, demon, half-breed, or whatever they be, they weren’t much for out-thinking people; it wasn’t in their job description, nor their nature. That was perfectly find for him.
Avoiding the same path he took before, his new chart was more haphazard. By daybreak, he was near the palace, and what a sight it was now. The recent battle had left several homes ravaged, but the spectacle was straight before him; the bird demon, forever encased in a prison- no, a coffin of bile-churning green ice, a warning etched on the outside, glowing slightly gold. Surely this was Reinos’ doing; no others within Carpithuna could have completed such a display, none that he knew of being “royalty” within. People had already crowded around it, some gawking at the disturbing sight, others somewhat sick to their stomachs. Ignnis, however, had more important matters than staring at a statue of the d**ned.
Pushing his way gently through the crowd, he was stopped near the entrance by two pike-wielding guards. “State your business, or you shall not pass” one of them said- no, both, in unison. Such a display… forced twinism was a rare item, but was it not forbidden centuries ago? Shrugging his shoulders, Ignnis said in a calm tone “I have urgent business with the Tuaros, or rather, with those he currently has under his wing. I understand this is a bad time for some random fool to come wandering in like this, but I must speak with them, one way or another.”
Like he had a choice; a spell of compulsion had been cast upon Ignnis when he joined the Mistress’ services, and he would follow through with her requests whether he wanted to or not, whether it required the termination of others' lives or not. It worked similarly to the soul-stealing bonds kitsunes used on some of their subjects, but without the stealing of his soul, thankfully. Of course, he had a spell and ceremony ready to break the bond since day two, but Ignnis knew the time wasn’t right; when it broke, Sonanja would notice instantly and begin reworking it.
He had to be a safe distance away to break it: it’s reach was no more than five hundred miles with her working it, but preferably he would like to be more than two thousand. Most importantly, though, he needed the unbridled access, something he would never have again if the spell were broken even once, even if it were recreated. He needed it, as much as she needed him now - if not more so. He would wait, and if they still refused, he would kill them so quick not even the crowd would have time to be alarmed. His eyes showed no intent of doing so, but if it came down to angering the Tuaros over a few lost guards and an intruder armed with a sword and an old pistol, or angering his Mistress, he'd choose the first option any day. The Tuaros' justice would be swift and relatively painless in comparison to what Sonanja would do to him if he failed...
*that satisfyin' for y'all? :3 *

Reinos saw her reaction and guessed it to be fairly normal. She must not have known what she was doing all this time.
"Well, yeah," he said rubbing his head, feeling a little embarassed,"And it gets a little worse."
Just then he heard a noise outside and looked out one of the windows and saw the crowd around Shura's prison. Or to be more precise looking at the prison from the shores of lake.
"Pfft," he said,"Blasted vultures."
-----------------------------------------------------------
The guards looked at the newcomer for a moment, not liking the tone in his voice or the insinuated threat. However, the man looked...strange, thus they let him pass. This one may have an urgent need of the Tuaros, or the others.
"You may pass, but be warned, any trouble and you may suffer that one's fate,"one of the men said, pointing his lance towards the sickly crystal.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Waldon beamed as he got up fromunder the table and took a seat.
"Waldon...want pancakes. Waldon want pancakes," he said, snorting after each pancakes he said....

Reinos looked at her and sighed.
"It was an accident, maybe. You were about to undergo your inner struggle and begin your advancement in your abilities. I'm the only one of our kind. Thus, I was the only one who could help you keep your powers under control until the time was for your personalities to merge," he said and added,"At least that's what Wolfsbane thinks."
"On other words, I was there and the pact kicked up because we were close to one another..."

Ignnis relaxed. "My thanks, gentlemen," he stated in a calmed tone, bowing deeply, "And I can assure you that I wish never to start trouble in the Tuaros's presence. A good day to both of you." With that, he passed by, steps measured. In the back of his mind, hundreds of spells began cycling, his mind continuously remembering and re-remembering each and every one of them; should worst come to worst, he would not leave this plane of existence without taking someone more important than a few palace guards with him. However, that was not his intention, nor his will; as stated, if the worst came, he was ready.
With a deep breath, he kept pace, crossing over the threshold and into the throne room. His presence alone was a breech of procedure, but he had little time for decency or protocol. A city, along with its population of millions, was resting on his ability to articulate, as were other, more private things... Before he reached the center of the vast room, he stopped abruptly, knelt slowly to a single knee, crossing one fisted arm over his heart. "Forgive me my abruptness, my Lord, but there is urgent business that requests the presence of your... guests." Closing his eyes, which had not lifted since he entered, he awaited the reply; continuation of the news he bore, or a death sentence.

Tuaros sat on the throne he had occupied when Reinos first arrived and the appearance of this "messenger" was a surprise to him. Sonta stood behind the throne, like a cat ready to pounce yet oddly at ease. Tuaros and her had been informed of the visitor when he first arrived at the walkway leading to the palace.
"Such formalities are needed here young one," Tuaros said, with an air of command in his voice,"But you would be wise no to do anything foolish here. This is an old place, with even older secrets....and dangers."
"Tuaros," Sonta whispered, but ignored her,"Speak what is it you have come me about. My guests are resting at the moment. I'll determine if this business of yours is important enough to bother them."
Being a leader was something he was used to, and something he felt Reinos may not be up for yet. Besides, he liked knowing everything he could about events that were occuring in the world.
-----------------------------------------------------
Reinos couldn't help it. He laughed. For all her pride in being a demon, she certainly acted like an embarrassed schoolgirl.
"It...needn't go that far," he said, catching his breath,"The pact isn't something I can undo. Besides, it's not complete. You and I aren't partners unless the we seal the pact."
"However, I think it caused for the others to enter into as well. Zyphan's powers evolving as they did. Kyra waking up from her slumber after all these years..." Reinos trailed off with the addtion of those names. His thoughts on Mierca, Zyphan and Almi. He had so much to tell them.
"Zyphan....she's....not going to be in a good mood for awhile to come...or Almi," Reinos said.
"Something..happened when you fought Yyla. While that was occuring, we were attacked here...."

*did she ever get a last name? :\ if so, I don't remember or recall it at all >.<*
Well, he was alive. That much he had to be thankful for. Summoning what courage he had, Ignnis began "Very well. I am Ignnis, servant of my Mistress, Sonanja, current Overlord of Largos. Having told you that, allow me finish, and I will be brief: Theodoric has breached the family pact, and is currently besieging Largos for his own personal gain. To what ends he does this for is unknown to me, possibly even unknown to my Mistress, but should he succeed, the consequences for this world will be dire, rest assured. I know there is... friction between the two of you as leaders – most certainly between Reinos and her as siblings – but that must be put aside for the moment, at the very least until the city is secured and Theodoric no longer a threat.”
He paused, waited, possibly for his head removed; when it was not, he continued: “She begs for this, my Lord, not I, as I am merely the messenger, her voice when she cannot speak directly. However… privately, personally, when a woman I have known for many years to be strong, almost explosive in her nature, breaks down nearly in tears, I can confidently say that the situation is dire. Even if it is only the spells placed upon me by her, I wish to return as soon as possible, and with news that will not bring her further distress.”
The entire time he spoke, Ignnis did not dare lift his head, even once. He had known others who had contempt for this court; some were still ‘hanging around’, so to speak. Ignnis much preferred his head to stay where it was, and in the back of his mind he continued recalling and remembering the words and sigils that he would need to escape with that part of him; he was brave, but not stupid. One did not last as long in the services of Sonanja as he had, and still be a complete buffoon.

The Tuaros listened patiently and upon hearing of the news of Theodoric breaching the family contract he had waved his hand and one of the guards in the shadows went to fetch Reinos.
"This is disturbing news Ignnis. It is no secret that Reinos and Sonanja loath each other. He of being imprisoned in Pandemonium and used by his sister, and her of him looking so much like her precious Theodoric," he said standing. A look of composure and resolve on his face.
"Sonanja is the oldest of the three and for her to send you for help, especially from Reinos, is most unusual. But that aside, rise. You are a diplomat and I have sent for Reinos already," he continued.
"You will be safe here. That I assure you...." he stopped for a moment,"You speak of spells placed upon you, so am I correct in assuming that you are an unwilling servant of Mistress of Shadow?"
----------------------------------------------------------
Reinos' reeled as his mind went back to the moment he saw Scoltun and took a slow breath.
"I...don't know...how to say this, but...Scoltun....has passed...to the realm of Hades...."
-----------------------------------------------------------
As the guard left the room, he dispatched others. One to seek out Zyphan and another to search out Mierca and Almi. They knew that alliance may be about to be formed and that Reinos wouldn't make a decision without everyone's thoughts.....

((sorry guys. finals from spring quarter, working for summer quarter money, and lots of other stuff happened. don't know how often i'll be on during the summer.))
Zyphan didn't know what the gargoyle was talking about, and now that the others were landing around her, she was getting a little uneasy, and ruffled her wings. "I don't know what you're talking about, abou this 'Old One'. I just did what had to be done, is all..." In the distance, Zyphan saw Scoltun's blue burial spire, shimmering blue, forever to stand until time itself came to an end.

Ignnis paused for a moment. His tongue desperately wanted to say "Only because it is the one way to bring this infernal b**** to her knees." Wisely, however, he chose softer words, masking his true intent with a grinning poker face. "Few servants of the Mistress enter her pact willing. I was one of them. To be truthful, it allows one a certain... freedom, even at the cost of many others."
Diverting attention away from him, he quickly added "As for her message, I did find it odd myself, but it is none of my place to question her motives. However, I will say this; in my years of service to her, I have never once heard her break. Mistress Sonanja has her tantrums, almost child-like I must admit privately, but any tears she may have had were held back. Today was the closest I came to hearing her... break."
And gods willing, he would hear her soft, sweet moan of anguish when his plans finally came to fruition. Withholding a smile to himself, he remembered why he took this horrible task of being her slave, that one last request he would make of Reinos, one of a very personal nature. Reinos had many secrets, but in order for the child to understand her true nature, she would have to see what became of her kin, what atrocities had been committed towards them. Terrible, he would be, but she would recover, and maybe even understand why he was showing her such things. Difficult, but not impossible, and very much needed if she were to be of any further use to the group that would rock the foundations of this world once again...

Reinos was about to explain when one of the guards came into the room at a run and stop in a short formal bow to Reinos.
"Lord Reinos, an emissary from Largos has arrived in the city and is requesting an audience with you and your comrades," he said standing straight again.
"What?" Reinos said looking dumb founded, he hated when people talk like they were showing off.
"Uhh..." the guard said not knowing what Reinos meant.
"Nevermind," he said closing his eyes and rubbing the bridge of his nose,"Do you know who sent him?"
"It was the Mistress of Shadow, my lord," he said and Reinos' eyes flashed blue.
"My sister," he growled. Out of all people she had sent a messenger. That meant it was her personal messenger, Ignnis. Well, Reinos had always wanted to meet this elusive servant of his sister's.
"Roxy, this discussion we had. We may have to put it on hold for awhile. Know this. The pact isn't complete unless you accept me as....well, I don't need to say," he walked over and extended his hand,"For now, let's just be partners, okay?" he grinned.....
