(Story and acting: good. Camera work: unforgivably bad. Nobody should be allowed to direct another film after butchering fight scenes like that. Although admittedly he did do a better job in The Dark Knight.)
Pinata staggered back to his feet and watched the towers come down for a few moments before his wounded leg gave out and he collapsed onto his side. Tearing the fabric of his pants to inspect the wound, he revealed the scar where the leg had been surgically reattached when he was seventeen. Now, he would have a vertical one going up the outer calf and knee to match the horizontal one encircling the thigh.
Exposed nerve endings screamed with agony as he inspected the wound, but he did not cry out and his facial expression remained unchanged. They called him Pinata for a reason... pain was his lifelong friend. He saw a great burst of white energy, the sheer power of which was blinding, launch itself into the sky and knew it was something Jodice had done. Since she was done with the energy and he needed it anyway, he channeled it, healing the leg wound and a couple of the more serious bite injuries he had sustained. Then he allowed the vines to retract and hacked a few demons who had somehow managed to remain standing to pieces as they tried to escape through the mangled gate.
The structures all around Jodice and Mammoth were falling. Jodice's shield was strong enough that Pinata could see it with the naked eye, and he hoped it would be strong enough to deflect the massive pieces of debris falling toward them as well. Pain from his amateurishly healed leg -- he had never bothered learning much in the way of white magic -- still troubling him, Pinata limped toward his friends. If he could do anything more to help them get out of here, he would.

(Only saw Batman Begins once. Still want my money back. Ed Wood is a better director than Christopher Nolan.)
Pinata was starting to get tired. Physical conditioning and animal ferocity could only take him so far, and then there was hardly anything left. He had neither Mammoth's size nor Jodice's duality to fall back on. In short, he was a lightweight. Only by getting used to pain over the course of hundreds of years was he able to withstand the injuries that had already befallen him.
As his sword started to grow heavier, he slid it back into its scabbard. It would only tire him more quickly from this point. The demons started moving toward him again, and he came at them unarmed. Their surprise caused him to hesitate, and he had crushed the first one's windpipe with the flat of his hand before the others recovered and started swarming him.
So far, Pinata had managed to avoid blood loss. But one of his ribs had been cracked when Ralf'url threw him earlier, and his dislocated shoulder, though he had popped it back into place while Jodice and Caelen distracted the demon leader, still hurt. And now, he was unarmed against a numerically superior force. Someone else had better still be standing, he thought as claws swept across his bad arm. It was already damaged anyway... let them hit him there.
Move your ass! The tower's coming down![/color] The voice passed through his mind, sounding like Jodice but different somehow, and he suddenly started moving backward. The demons that were lunging at him overbalanced and fell on their faces, and those who were immediately behind them tripped over their bodies. Soon, a thirty-demon pileup had occurred... Pinata got as much of a running start as he could, then vaulted over them. Along the way pain exploded up his right leg, and he landed awkwardly when he came down on the other side of the demon pile.
He only gave the injured leg a cursory glance... it was still attached to his body, and that was all he cared about. Dragging himself back to his feet, he started moving away as quickly as he could. The smallest and quickest of the demons, who he could still outrun at full health, quickly caught up to him, and he flung them against the spiked walls or snapped their necks before moving on. Larger demons were now incoming, and those small ones before them had managed to draw blood from a few more places on Pinata's body.
He was nearing the gate now. Thankful for the mana Jodice had given him, he sent vines running up along the length of the outer fence. They grabbed hold of the gates as he approached and ripped them off their hinges. A demon fist slammed into the side of his head, and he felt his jaw break. He remained on his feet, running the offender through on his quickly drawn sword.
The gate was starting to erect itself again. Pinata poured more green mana into the vines, causing them to overgrow and crowd the entrance. A wall of brambles was more painful to pass through than a wall of obsidian, but it was at least passable. He started climbing through, ignoring the pain from new cuts as the thorns he had intentionally put there found him.

(I'm back. Lost phone service, so dial-up wasn't working. Looks like I missed a lot. Talking like Rorschach. Have no idea why.)
Pinata nodded, even though Jodice had already turned her attention back to Ralf'url, and charged the demons that were coming in at Mammoth. He blew past the larger man with terrifying speed and laid into the demons with even more frightening ferocity. He felt the energy Jodice had released into him, waiting to be used if he needed it, but he would hold off just in case an emergency arose later. These minions could be defeated without magic, especially if Mammoth had anything left to offer in the way of help.
Pinata used not only his sword, but also every part of his body in fighting the demons. His elbows broke noses, his knees bruised groins, his forehead shattered skulls, and his teeth tore open veins and arteries. Once they called me The Butcher, he thought. But if they saw me now, they would realize how much self-restraint I exercised before. He ran another demon through on his blade, turned toward a second one attacking him and savagely bit into its neck.
"I am nature unleashed!" he roared, charging forward into the next rank of enemies, seemingly with no regard for his own physical safety. In fact, as the walls started to realize the existence of and respond to the new threat, Pinata leaped up onto the spikes and danced across them, dodging in between them, letting the demons' own weapons pulverize them. Each time a black hole appeared against the surface of a wall to suck him in, he hurled a demon into it instead. And still they came, further enraging him, to the point where he no longer seemed human, but instead appeared to have become a ferocious animal.
(Trying to avoid godmodding as well, but agree with Swutch... it's getting difficult.)

She used to, back in the day. She was good, too. I think she's too busy with work and stuff now, though. F**kin' work. It ruins everything.

She doesn't post much, but she logs in pretty often still... once every two days or so at least, you'll see her name down at the bottom of the page where it says "Users active in the last 24 hours". Eldae logs in without posting quite a bit, too.
And before anyone accuses me of being creepy, I don't just check the active users on this site... I do it on every site I'm on, even the ones with all-male casts.

(Okay, it's just completely unrealistic that Pinata's still alive without Caelen's help, so I'm gonna have to godmod our striped friend a bit. I can change it if it's too much.)
Jodice's voice inside Pinata's head distracted him just enough for a glancing blow with the butt of an axe to knock him aside briefly. But he knew what the plan was now, and before Ralf'url could bring his weapons to bear on Caelen Pinata had gotten back up and started hacking at the demon's right leg with his sword, like a lumberjack trying to fell a particularly difficult tree. Ralf'url was forced to keep his attention divided, defending against both Caelen's assault from the front and Pinata's from the rear... even better yet, he was favoring his right leg slightly.
Ralf'url's injuries did nothing to detract from his confidence, and he continued to boast about how his opponents would suffer when hellfire consumed this plane. Pinata wished he had held back some magical energy so that he could cast a Silencing Charm on the demon. As Ralf'url roared in frustration and spun around to strike at him with both blades, Pinata rolled underneath the oncoming strike, continuing the roll between Ralf'url's legs, striking the right one with his sword one more time on the way by. Now, for the briefest of moments, both he and Caelen were behind the demon. "Go!" Pinata said, leaping up and lodging his sword in Ralf'url's hip for leverage. He yanked the blade back out and then clambered up the demon's back, Caelen joining him, both trying to strike at the unprotected-from-this-angle head and neck of their foe.
Ralf'url roared again, and swung the axes back behind himself trying to dislodge them. Pinata had to dodge an oncoming blade that would cleave him in half otherwise, and decided jumping would be the lesser of two evils. He landed on the ground below with a sickening crunch... he had landed on his left arm, and it had broken badly. He let go of his sword so he could push himself up with his right hand, and got back to his feet. Bending down to retrieve his sword at a particularly fortuitous moment, he didn't even realize he had ducked under the next sweep of the axe until he felt the wind from its passing. He didn't see Caelen anywhere, and realized that the weretiger must have held on. Whatever you're doing up there, I hope it causes that bastard a lot of pain, Pinata thought at his new friend, even though he doubted he had the same ability to actually transmit the thought that Jodice had suddenly developed.

Pinata placed a hand on Mammoth's arm as he was walking away. A surge of green energy passed between them, entering Mammoth's body and seeming to strengthen him. Pinata explained what he was doing in case Mammoth was curious what sort of magic he had just used on him:
"It's called a Stream of Life. The green mana is converted into health, fortifying you so that you can stand against a numerically superior enemy." Pinata seemed slightly winded, suggesting that he had poured much -- or possibly even all -- of his remaining magical energy into the spell. "Good luck," he told Mammoth before turning back to face Ralf'url. The demon grinned, seemingly knowing that Pinata had weakened himself.
"What the hell are you grinning about, you wanker?" Pinata asked, charging the demon.
(Since Jodice seems to have big plans and Mammoth probably wants to do an ass-kicking post, I'm not gonna have Pinata do much to Ralf'url in this post... if it falls to me to finish him off in my next post I'll do it, but for now let's give Caelen one more opportunity to log in.)

(Fair enough. He likes to absquatulate from time to time... he'll be back eventually, but I agree it's inadvisable to wait more than a day or two for him.)

(I've never seen any Dragonball stuff, so it's not my fault. When I refer to energy it's usually mana from Magic: The Gathering.)
Pinata watched Mammoth fall and Jodice die. They had struck major blows before being removed from the equation, but their losses still enraged him. And now, the shield was gone. Pinata's sword turned a poisonous shade of black... now, every strike with the blade would carry with it a dose of Omukade venom. The giant, flesh-eating, extremely poisonous magical centipede was a rare creature native to certain countries on Pinata's home plane, and his sword had taken on properties of its venom after he had killed one with it. A female Omukade was said to be able to destroy an entire village with one dose of venom, though Pinata felt that was probably an exaggeration... besides which, the Omukade he had killed had been a mere hatchling, as opposed to a full-grown adult. At any rate, he would get to see how a demon withstood the venom now.
He moved in, ducking under one axe and running up the blade of the other, and slashed Ralf'url's groin before diving underneath the demon and coming to his feet behind him. Ralf'url bellowed in agony; the venom had worked, especially well in such a sensitive spot as a matter of fact, and would now leave him severely weakened and much easier to finish off. Pinata's blade turned silver again, and he said, "When you find yourself back in Hell, say hi to my father for me." Then he charged again.
(Okay, Mammoth or Caelen -- or Jodice, if she wants to return this early -- can jump in now if they want. Feel free to have Pinata get knocked aside or something if he'll be in your way while he continues to fight.)

(OOC: This is my last post for today... unless by some miracle I can get on over the weekend, which hardly ever happens, I won't be on till Monday. So you guys can either go ahead and kill him without me, or hold things up till I can post... it's up to you. I'm helping Mammoth's plans along, but if I do too much let me know.)
Pinata was just thinking the same thing, and thought he knew a way to find out. There was a spell called Lifeforce, which allowed its caster to channel green energy into black energy -- thereby directly damaging the wielder of said black magic. He cast it now, and Ralf'url's shield glowed bright green briefly before vanishing from view again. The demon staggered backward in pain, a surprised look crossing his face and then quickly changing to rage. He charged Pinata, and although Pinata held fast against the onslaught longer than anyone could have expected eventually an axe caught him with a glancing blow and swept him aside to crash into the wall of one of the buildings. The impact caused Pinata's concentration to waver momentarily, and he lost the Lifeforce spell... however, the shield was now glowing green around its edges on a seemingly permanent basis, and he smiled as he realized his theory was correct. The shield could be overloaded with energy, thought Pinata now didn't have enough left to be of much help in this endeavor.

(You're doing great so far. Still worried you're gonna kill off Jodice though. ) Pinata felt the energy in the room change. He didn't know what Jodice had done, but it had altered the mana flow in a way that favored their side, so he was grateful. "Good to see you," he said, not mentioning her apparent injuries for the moment. She obviously already knew she was hurt, and nothing would be served by discussing it further while Ralf'url was still alive. He turned to face the demon then, hoping that between Caelen's trickery, Mammoth's strength and his own knowledge and experience they would be able to last long enough to give Jodice an opening. (Sorry. Not quite sure how the attack's gonna go down so I'm saving the badassery for later too.)

"Agreed," Pinata said. There was emotion in his voice, but none on his face... he and Wolfe had been friends for centuries, but he had trained himself so extensively in keeping a straight face that it was impossible to tell the extent of his grief. He waved his hand at the demon that he and Caelen had been fighting, and vines came up from beneath the earth and wrapped around the creature. Then, they dragged it down beneath the earth's surface. Pinata had just sent the last commander back to Hell, clearing the way for him, Caelen and Mammoth to attack Ralf'url together as a team.
