Cecil paused for a moment then replied. "Your right I can't help those we need if I am dead..." With that Cecil turned around and walked towards Eldae.

Eldae smiled thinly, turning towards the outskirts of the city. Putting his arm around Amaera's shoulders, he began to walk at a slightly faster than normal pace towards the land outside the city. He wasn't sure how long the compulsion would last or what would happen when it wore off, but he decided that he would prefer to find out outside the city limits, rather than near the fighting.
---------
Eldae turned around once the trio was safely outside the city. As he watched the flames for a few moments, he snuck a look at Cecil, trying to tell whether or not the charm person effect had ended. Unable to tell, he turned around and pulled out his map, hopeing that Amaera had not noticed what he had done to Cecil - temporarily, at any rate. "The closest town to here is Ashabenford. They have occaisonal problems with drow, but so does everywhere else around here. My best guess is two, maybe three days of walking to get there. Not too many places close to each other anywhere here in the Dalelands."

Cecil put his hands on his head like he was having a headache. "That was strange..." he paused for a moment "I could of sworn I just came this way?" He looked to see that he was two other people who's name he thought he knew but couldn't remember much more other than that. He decided that they were good people in any case and continue with them asking no questions.

Jerak sat on the tombstone, playing his blackened flute. His dark gaze watching the shadows as corpse rats and ghouls started to emerge, entranced by his melenchaly music. His ragged brown cloak stirred with the wind. Jerak stopped in mid-note, with the flute still to his mouth. He appeared to be listening, or watching something else. The ghouls looked curiously around. Then the music started back up and the fell back into their trance.
Jarek though had other things on his mind.

Eldae looked at Cecil in concern. That's strange, he thought to himself. I didn't expect any memory loss. But then again, it isn't like I actually focus on telepathy too often. I just hope Amaera doesn't realize what I did. Looking down at his map, he made sure they were going the right direction, thinking as he did that it was good Amaera was with them, just incase they got lost. Looking ahead, he noticed some movement in a fenced in area off to the side of the road, as well as what appeared to be tombstones. Frowning, he halted the group.

Cecil looked confused for a moment wondering why they had stopped when he spotted the tombstones. He looked closely at them and thought he saw someone by them. "Do my eyes decive me or is there someone in there?"

Eldae looked at the graveyard. "Not just one someone... there's a few in there." He stopped talking as he heard the music. He turned to Amaera. "Have you ever heard this tune before? It doesn't sound familiar to me... in fact, it doesn't even sound that much like music."

*Amaera hesitated a moment, not at all liking what she heard. She nodded slowly, staring at the tombs...* "I've heard something similar once... Not exactly the same, but close enough..." *A shiver ran down her spine at the haunting melody.* "Let's just say, I stayed far away from the person that played it... The tune isn't meant for the living's ears..."

Eldae nodded slowly. "In that case, I'd rather not find out what those other 'someones' are. Let's get moving. And around the graveyard, even if it means leaving the road." He shook his head. "I can't think of anything I can do against undead, short of beating them over the head. I'm much better against living foes."

*Amaera shook her head lightly, tearing her gaze away from the gloomy graveyard and trying not to listen to the melancholy music that drifted from it.* "I don't want to beat anything over the head at the moment... living or dead..."

Cecil shook his head in agreement with Amaera. "I'd rather not fight either...although at times it is a required evil." He sighed as he said this

Eldae stepped off the path, walking away from the graveyard. "I figure we can head back the way we were going after we get well away from that... music."

*Amaera nodded, staying close to Eldae as they walked and wondering what odd things they might encounter next... It seemed like nothing had been normal from the moment she had met Eldae.*

Eldae thought for a moment, then considered. He turned to Cecil and Amaera. "I don't suppose either of you knows how to ride a horse?"
