General Forgotten realms ettting, go from there.
Eldae sat at the bar, watching those around them and occasionaly lookng at their thoughts. The psion was looking for someone, or multiple someones, to help him go after a Tome he had found, but which was guarded by traps, monsters and other guardians.

*Amaera sat silently at the bar, drinking a glass of water. She was growing restless. She hadn't seen or done anything the least bit interesting for two months now. As she thought of ways to satisfy her feelings, she noticed another elf in the room that seemed to be thinking just as much as she was. Perhaps it was time to stop thinking so hard about things and just be at peace for a moment. Amaera finished her glass of water, nodding to the barkeep before leaving the bar and moving to a deserted corner of the room. She pulled a chair over, gracefully taking a seat upon it. She carefully drew her crystal flute from her pouch before placing the empty bag on the floor in front of her to collect money. Ignoring the noise of the people all around her, Amaera slowly lifted her flute to her lips and began to play softly. The clear, haunting melody floated through the room as her fingers moved fluidly over the crystal. Her blue eyes remained closed through the entire song so she was unaware of the reaction she was getting, if there was any reaction at all.*

Eldae heard the sound of a flute playing softly, and despit himself turned to look. A beautiful elf was sitting in a corner of the pub, playing on a crystal flute. The pouch in front of the musician was filling up with coins. Eldae touched the minds of some of those who were putting coins in the bag, but it appeared that there was no enchantment, the elf was just that good. After the song was finished, the whole room burst into applause. Eldae looked at the musician for another moment, and noticed that she was carrying weapons, as well as what looked to be gear for staying in the wild. Perhaps, like himself, there was more to this elf than meets the eye.

*When Amaera lowered her flute, opening her eyes again, she was met by the sound of applause. A little surprised but still quite proud of herself, she bowed her head. As the room slowly returned to normal, Amaera noticed the elf from before studying her. She gave him a friendly smile before standing. She placed her flute back in her bag along with the coins she had collected. She made her way back over to the bar, taking a seat beside the male elf and ordering another glass of water. She glanced over at the elf beside her, a warm smile gracing her lips.* "You shouldn't look so serious all the time..."

Eldae laughed. "Is this better?" he asked, a smile stretching across his face. "I go by Eldae. In case you are wondering, my current occupation is adventurer. And you are?" Eldae ended, using his powers to create a rose, which he handed to the bard.

"I go by Eldae. In case you are wondering, my current occupation is adventurer. And you are?"
*Amaera smiled, gently taking the rose from him.* "Call me Amaera... Wandering bard and ranger at your service." *She twirled the rose in her fingers, quiet for a moment as she thought about what he had just said...* "So... Adventurer you say? You wouldn't happen to have any interesting tales to tell? Or perhaps you're creating one of your own as we speak..."

"I'm currently 'in the market', as you say." Eldae replied to Amaera's question. "I'm looking for a jewel. Its supposed to have powers of some kind, and I have a map to it. Unfortunatley, I doubt I have the capabilities to get it on my own." He looked at Amaera. "I don't suppose..."

*Amaera grinned slightly. Could she have asked for a better opportunity?* "Well... If you could use my skills, I would be more than happy to aid you. Playing in pubs isn't the most exciting thing I've ever done..."

Eldae grinned. Finally he was getting somewhere. "Two stand a much better chance than one. Tell you what," he went on. "How about we go somewhere private and I show you the map. I don't want a bunch of thieves getting a look at it."

"As you wish." *She slowly rose from her seat, swinging her bag over her shoulder. Then, with a quick smile, she tucked the rose he had given her in her long dark hair.* " Do you have a place in mind?"

Kaali placed her empty goblet on the table and turned towards Eldae and Amaera and said in her soft toned voice, "Not meaning to intrude or to sound rude.......If I were you, I wouldn't be talking about jewels and what not in such company." She nodded towards the room as she spoke. "Tis not wise to attract unwanted attention."

Eldae looked at the new arrival. "Yes, I'm well aware of that. However, it isn't who is in this room that I'm worried about... Its those who aren't." In response to the glances he got, he explained. "Powerful items attract powerful beings. I'm worried about being magically overheard, as no one in this room is listening. I've been wathcing the thoughts of everyone in here just in case, ready for action in case anyone was eavesdropping." He turned to Kaali. "I had just sensed your presence, which is why I decided to move. In case you are wondering how, I'm a psion. We specialize in- well, I guess it would seem like magic- but psions are also sometimes called telepaths." His tone turned apologetical. "I don't like reading minds, as I think it is unethical, but here I figured it would be safer for all concerned, and I was only scanning briefly to see if anyone heard our conversation."

Kaali blinked in surprise and amazement. She started slowly, "So...you were already aware of my intentions before I made my way to you?"

Eldae smiled a little. "No, I wasn't aware of your intentions. I merely knew that you overheard me. I'm not a powerful enough telepath to read deeper into your thoughts, as I concentrate on Metacrativity, the creation field of psionics. Naturally, you have no clue what I am talking about." The half-elf shook her head no. "By the way," Eldae continued, "I'm Eldae, and this is Amaera. What name do you go by?"

Kaali inclined her head, "I am Kaali. " And then smiled slightly, "And Yes. I had no idea on what you were reffering to. But may I offer my services to you? A helping hand if you will."
