Dorothy does as she is told for the length of the entire walk to the shop... keeping quiet and generally being helpful. Of course, when a large towering alien walks up to her Mistress? Oh heeel no. She moves to position herself quickly in front of her and makes for a... short... meatshield. Well, if its an android is it meat or something else?

"No worries, Dorothy," the woman said, laying a hand on the android's shoulder. Now that she though of it, perhaps they should have thought of something else to call her... Oh well, too late now. "It wouldn't do him any good to harm one of the people actually willing to pay."
To the giant of a being that had come up, she said, "No, my ship's fine. Actually, I was wondering about what sorts of analasys machines you might have - or better yet, any new information I could plug into mine. Something's come up unknown, and I don't really like that."

He gave her a blank look, and scratched his chin. "We've got a quite a few analysis machines; Zife's been building them like crazy, lately. Dunno if we got the kind you need though, since ours are mostly for medical stuff." He drummed his fingers on the desktop. "What do you need examined?"

Dorothy nod and moves back to stand beside her mistress- ever content in that position as she looks around for anything interesting to talk to- such as machines or computers... anything. Not finding much she is content to wait and observe, specifically looking for things that could cause her mistress harm... guns and stuff.

Black Orchid pulled out the tiny container of the fungus that had been separated from her blood and held it before him. "Medical may still work, this came from a humanoid. I'm somewhat ashamed to say that all I know is that it's a fungus and shouldn't have been there - I know nothing more about it, nor does my machine."
She closed her hand around the vial, not really wanting to hand it over in case there were any trace ammounts of her blood left in it. Similarly, she had no intention of telling him that it had come from her own bloodstream.

"Hm. Well, we can give it a shot, I guess," he said, and his tone implied she'd be handing him money regardless of the result of the exam. "Come this way." Without looking back, he walked through a door in the back of the room.
This door lead to a huge room - this room seemed to be the majority of the building's bulk. It was packed full of machines; they lined every wall and covered the floor. At the far end of the room several small spaceships where in various states of repair. The noise of all the machinery filled the room like a wall.
"Wait here a moment," Xin said, and vanished off into the maze of machines. There was some muffled yelling and some of the noise ceased; after a moment Xin reappeared, carrying what appeared to be a large welding mask with legs under his arm. He dropped his bundle in front of Chaser.
The mask was struggled out of and revealed Zife, the younger of the Bloodtusk brothers; he was a carbon copy of his brother, save his larger, honest eyes - and the fact he was four feet tall. He looked up at Chaser. "Bro says you got a fungus or something?" His tail twitched. "I think I gots a machine than can look at it. Here." He held out his hand for the vial.

Nyx followed the behemoth back without question, quietly saying, "Remember, Dorothy - stay with me."
She found Xin's methods of fetching his brother to be quite amusing. Orchid had only seen the younger one a select few times. She was hesitant to hand over the vial, but did so anyway and without showing her hesitance - such a thing would only invite suspicions. "Yes, a fungus. I want to know what it is, what effects it would have on a humanoid, and how it can be taken care of in such a case."

Zife took the vial and looked at it for a moment, then wordlessly walked off into the maze again. Xin followed him, and they ended up at a large machine in roughly teh center of the room. Zife pulled up a small hover pad and sat on it, having it lift him up the large keyboard.
He carefully slipped the vial into a slot in the machine and started typing quickly. "This could take awhile, just so you know. I'll have to do a lot of tests to give you a full answer." "How long is a long time?" Xin asked, though his question probably was because he was hoping to charge by the hour. Zife typed for a moment, then sighed. "It could be up to 48 hours if you want a really detailed test. A basic run through could be about...18 hours."
His ears twitched suddenly. "Odd. I haven't seen this fungus before. The database has no matches, and this thing's going off the Deo's medical data." He didn't seem worried, though; instead, he beamed happily. "Where did you find this?"

Black Orchid arched an eyebrow at the reaction; although she kept it well hidden, she was worried. And now, she had to come up with an answer that would get her the most information while giving them the least. The source might well be important...
"One of the mines on Haldric," she said. It was close enough to the truth. "They're worried it might be toxic, and they bought some Flower Candy to try preventing any problems until it's identified."

"Okay," said Zife. "Xin, I'll need Tao for this, I think. Can you get him?" "He's in town, or he should be. I'll send him to you when he gets back." Xin looked at Chaser. "Speaking of your Flower Candy, we need some more. We're getting low." "We could just do an exchange instead of charging her-Ow!" Xin folded his arms as Zife rubbed the top of his head. "We don't accept services as payment, Zife, and you know that." Zife scowled at his older brother. "What about that one hot woman? You know, the one you said could pay with her-Ow! What was that for?" Xin cleared his throat loudly. "Get on with it, Zife." "That really hurt!" Xin ignored him and looked at Chaser with his best professional scowl. "Who's your companion?" he asked, gesturing to Dorothy. "I wasn't aware you'd given up working solo."

((I feel like Jess is getting left behind... >.< ))
"Acually, an exchange would be easier - not like Flower Candy's not worth it." Black Orchid grinned beneath her veil, but it could still be seen in her eyes. "You really should be nicer to your brother, Xin. He does seem to the the smart one, after all."
She glanced back at Dorothy. "Just an assistant," the woman said. She was a little curious to see if maybe they could figure anything out about the android, but she was still too paranoid about the thing; anyway, knowing them, Xin would likely charge her for Zife's curiosity. "Who's Tao? Have you had another brother hidden away?"

((Gonna wait on Jess, since she hasn't posted in awhile.))
Xin glowered at her. "He's smart and stupid at the same time," he grumbled. He followed her gaze to Dorothy and eyed the android suspiciously. "Tao is..." He smiled. "Just an assistant, I suppose. He comes in handy."

((Actually you two could keep going until Dorothy is directly addresse, shes under orders not to speak. )) And of course, Dorothy stood safely near her mistress- intent on keeping the one who woke her safe from harm... and these two presented a bigger harm then she had initially wished. She looked over at her mistress and smiled, and made a motion with he hands to indicate the larger of the pair... qestioning wether or not to let her guard down.

Chaser merely waved her hand passively to Dorothy, then chuckled at Xin. "I suppose I have no right to information that I myself refuse to share. Don't be too worried about my little friend, though, she's a good little girl." Or at least, she hopsed she was. "So, about how long should this 'Tao' be? I'd rather like to have things done as quick as possible."

Xin shrugged. "He shouldn't be too long. I sent him to get lunch for us awhile back." Next to him, Zife muttered to himself and madly punched buttons. "From what I can see this fungus is a relative of some other archived types," he said. "I'll be able to give you a general answer about it once Tao gets here. I'll need to see what it does to people." He rubbed his chin for a moment. "The only bad this is all the relatives of it are poisonous. All of those have cures, though."
