She entered the room rather boldly, training a flashlight around as she felt the child's presence still nearby. Going back in here would hopefully re-trigger whatever had brought them here... A faint whisper, and a gust of impossible wind blew past, and May knew exactly what was about to happen; pushing Jason back a bit, she stepped away, feeling the woman's presence drift by quickly, hearing the words in her head again: "Get out! GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!!"
This time, however, things were different...
The little girl materialized on the bed behind May, wide-eyed at the site of the woman who had just came out of thin air, aiming to attack May. The woman attacked May rather easily with one hand coming to throttle her throat... oddly enough, however, May made no attempt to dodge it or push her away. Before she could cause any serious harm, however, the girl Maria opened her mouth, uttering one word rather weakly: "Momma?"
Immediately, the woman stopped, a sound reminiscent of glass breaking coming from near the woman; she stopped, turning to meet eyes with the young girl. "Ma-... Maria?!"
The girl screeched in joy, jumping up and leaping at the woman with her arms wide open, the lady laughing, tears of joy rolling down her face; the frightening visage was gone, replaced by a beauty that stunned even May. The two held each other, crying like old friends until they started to disappear. Abruptly, the girl looked back, a whisper barely audible on her lips... 'thank you...' And with that, they disappeared, leaving something behind...

Jason stood beside May, stunned by the whole incident. His eyes darted around the room expecting something more. "Did you get the feeling that went rather too smoothly?", he whispered in May's ear. He expected another angry ghost to come out of the walls angry why May had united the other two ghosts. He realized he had started thinking of these ghosts, whom he had not believed in yesterday, like normal beings in his life.
Unexpectefly, he felt his body lifting off the ground. "Hey...", that was all he could utter before he was flung across the room hitting the opposite wall with an audible thud. Groaning, he tried to get up. He couldn't see what had done this but he had a pretty good idea they were going to find out. Someone or something didn't want him interfering which seemed surprising as he didn't have the touch like May, did he?

May was stunned by that, as she saw the woman coming back for a vengance. Or was it her?! No... there was something different about this one... she only sensed pure malice and anger from it, whereas the other one.... She grabbed the camera as the phantom whipped its head towards her, and pressed the shutter just as a tiny red light came on...
The ghost reeled back, screaming, and then disappeared... May caught her breath, watching as it disintegrated... What was that tiny red light in there her curiosity spoke up... But for now she'd only have to guess at it. After helping Jason up, she gave him a quick dust off and went back to the item on the floor... it turned out to be a picture, showing that little girl, and the woman, with her hair pulled back... Flipping it over, there were names and dates on the back... "Hope you're ready for a long night Stephan" she thought to herself, turning back to Jason. "Are you feeling ok?"

"I do wish often that I could fly but that was a bit ridiculous...", he said to lighten the mood. He was just glad he hadn't struck the wall head first. "I will be fine. But whats the deal with this, whenever you get into trouble, I get beaten up. You should seriously consider trying to avoid trouble for a while... just for my sake. " And he had meant it.
"By the way, I didn't get a chance to tell you that was a very brave and nice thing you did back there. I am beginning to like you more and more every second." He said getting up and walking over to her. "So thats done. Whats the picture?"

"I think that one qualified as a full-blown poltergeist" she commented, looking at the picture again. "I dunno, but this picture must be from that little girl. I think that lady was her mother or caretaker... And I plan on finding out here soon enough."
Running downstairs and grabbing the printer, she copied both the photograph and the back, then sent it to Stephan with a small message asking to do some searching. After that, she grabbed the camera, knowing that this could be a long night. "Well... still feeling up to ghost hunting? I really wish we had two of these..."

Jason followed her downstairs. He knew she was sending it to Stephan. If anybody knew about the back story, it would be him. "Why do you want to know what happened to them? If they are gone, it doesn't really matter... does it?"
He smiled at the question, "Yeah, then we both could be the photographing ghost-busters. Its actually amazing how your mom never seems to come across these ghosts. If she did, she would probably freak out even worse."

"Well..." May stared off for a second, trying to think. "She might come across them, but I'm not sure if she's here enough to..." She shook her head, trying not to think about that. "Lets just get to it."
May knew her mother was always acting strange... sometimes she wondered if Kathryne wasn't possessed. It certainly seemed like it sometimes, with the things May had caught her doing in the past... But for now, she was most likely asleep. "I'm more amazed at the fact that she doesn't hear most of what's happening up here" she commented, taking point.
For the rest of the night, she went about, taking a few more pictures. But no more ghosts showed their faces; just more clues piling atop one another with no answers in sight for now. Several more of the odd visages appeared, but none had rendered any rock-hard evidence; just more questions as to what had happened here. May would need Stephan's research, as she was horrible at doing so. So for that night, she decided to pack it in around midnight. Besides, tomorrow would be a big day, and they would need all the strength they had in order to get through it; best to be rested before then...
*yeah, i'm moving things along now. getting stuck up in all the romance is pretty and such, but we really need to get this show on the road >.< Crow? You still with us bud?*

Jason didn't understand her comment, just nodded. "Yeah, I was wondering about that too. Maybe she is in a deep sleep. Anyway, since it seems like the ghosts are tired of haunting you for today, I will go get some rest. Goodnight.."
He went into 'his' room as it had been designated by May. The room was spacious and had a bed which was all he could see right now, as tired as he was. He hadn't shown it throughout the time he was running around with May but his body was reacting to all the punishment it had taken today. His body was cramped up and paining. He just fell down on the bed and went to sleep instantly.

May watched Jason from the doorway, her heart heavy. As soon as he was asleep, she went in, sitting down on the bed next to him. 'Jason...' she spoke softly, her hand running through his hair, 'I'm sorry for putting you through so much... I know you heard a lot today, but I need you... now more than ever... I also know you can't hear me now, but I don't care... I know I need to be strong, but... sometimes, I just...'
Tears came to her eyes as she thought about that little girl again... 'I want us to be together for the rest of our lives, and I hope you feel the same way.' Leaning over, she took his head and moved it softly, gently towards her own, kissing him tenderly on the lips for just a second. Backing away for just a moment, she held him to her chest, then laid him back down again. 'I promise I'll try not to be a burden upon you... I'll try my hardest not to be one...'
And with that, she returned to her room, her thoughts keeping her awake for a while longer, even though she was extremely tired...

Jason had been sleeping for six hours straight totally unoblivious to what was happening around him. His eyes opened and he smiled. He had been dreaming about May, him holding her in his arms and kissing her. His smile disappeared as he realized today, the whole town would react to what he had been accused of. He would have to stay away from people if he went out. He also remembered that today May and Stephan would try to prove his innocence risking their own reputations. He had decided already that he wasn't going to let May do this alone. Stephan was experienced enough in this sort of stuff to know what to do if there were problems, but May... No, he wouldn't let anything happen to her.
He got out of bed and jumped into the shower and changed quickly. Good thing he was carrying his bag with a change of clothes. He opened the door slowly so as not to make any sound. May's door was still closed. He thought he should do something to thank his gracious hosts. He walked quietly past May's door but paused before going down to the kitchen. He went back and took a pen from the desk in his room and a piece of paper. He wrote something on the paper and slid in under her door. *You are the most valuable thing in my life and nothing will ever change that.*
He smiled as he went down the stairs to the kitchen and started preparing a breakfast for the three of them. Living alone with his mom, he had to learn how to make meals well enough. From what he could find aroudn the kitchen, it was going to be bacon, eggs and bread.

May woke up feeling rather sick... she hobbled over to the bathroom and let loose into the toilet, quivering and shaking as her stomach emptied everything that had been in it, which wasn't much unfortunately. After the dry heaves were over, she washed her mouth out and brushed her teeth, trying to get the stench of stomach acid off her breath as best she could...
Straightening out her hair, she put on some decent clothes, then left the bathroom, opening her door and stopping for a second, sniffing at the air... her mom rarely cooked anymore, and when she did... Racing down the stairs, she skidded to a frantic stop in front of the kitchen, and saw to her surprise none other than Jason... cooking?! As her heart rate went back down to normal, May asked with a giggle "Is this what you normally do for a girl when you stay at her house?"

Jason turned around as May entered the kitchen. He wondered whether she got the note he had slipped under her door. He was almost done, putting the food on the table he walked towards May, looked behind her to make sure her mom wasn't behind her. Taking hold of her around the waist he pulled her towards him and gave her a long kiss. Parting, he smiled and spoke, "No, I usually do this for myself at my home. I thought its the least I can do for my gracious hostess."
He winked at her, then frowned as he looked at her face carefully. "You alright? You look a bit... pale and weak. Maybe we should call the thing off for today. You gonna have to be fit if you want to get this done without getting caught..."

The kiss was most certainly welcome, but the question... not so much. Still, May kept her composure as she slid her hands around Jason, stuffing them into his back pockets. "No, its nothing. I'm sure I'll be better after this big a breakfast." She let a giggle and a wink past, and nothing more, as she stepped to the side rigidly before pushing up on her tippy toes again to steal another kiss... she never wanted these moments to end, even though she knew they would...
Looking back to the side, may pulled her hands away, wrapping them around the small of his back and hugging tightly as she stated "I'll go get my mom. I'm sure she'll ask some questions, but she won't be too picky." She mumbled an 'I hope' as she slipped away from his grasp, bounding off towards her mom's bedroom. May knew she would ask questions... she just hoped they weren't the ones she was thinking she'd ask...

((I guess we should delay a bit more and see if Crow shows up ))
Questions? Before he could ask what she meant, she was already on her way to her mom's bedroom. He strolled around inside the kitchen for a few seconds then turned to face the door. "Oh, what the hell...", he exclaimed and decided to follow her to the room. He was curious to hear what her mom had to say. She didn't seem to care much about May and he wondered what May was so worried about.
He could hear something from a room he assumed was her mom's. He quickly and quietly made his way to the room and hid himself along the wall. The door was only half closed so he could hear what they were talking about. May had lied to him back in the kitchen and he knew it. The question was why did she have to lie to him?
