Tiny maroon droplets that were pupils peered out of the alleyway at the tavern. He'd expected something a bit more...extravagent. Will cocked an eyebrow and ran his right hand through his short, black hair. Better than nothing, he thought. For a moment, his better senses tugged at him to just turn around and walk away, but Will had never been one to adhere to his better senses. He put on a pair of dark sunglasses, strolled confidently to the door of the brick building and stepped inside.
A quiet scene, for a change. Something Will could deal with. He didn't take off his leather jacket, or his sunglasses. He just took a seat at the bar. "AB, if you've got it," he said to the bartender.

Avery turned and looked at the woman speaking next to him.
"In these days, it's much easier to hide from enemies and also much easier to get anything you want. Technology has its perks." he nodded, taking a drink before looking at her again.
"been from a time without much where hunting was hard and dangerous, and now all you have to do is give a blood type, and it's here."

Julianna listened in on the conversation the two were having. Then realized someone else entered the Tavern. This bar was much more quiet than she could bare. "You do realize there are still some who hunt their food." She whispered quietly. If she was heard, than good.

As the male spoke the women swung round to face him, green eyes met red as she fixed him with her steadfast gaze. Anger flashed momentarily across her features at his words but was swiftly replaced by a look of wry amusement.
Suddenly there was a whisper to her right as moonlight eyes spoke, “You do realize there are still some who hunt their food”. The women smirked, white fangs gleaming despite the dim lighting.
“Aye,” she replied, “those like me feed the way it’s supposed to be.” Her gazed flickered between the two and then onto the figure of a third vampire who had just entered the Tavern.
“How can you dismiss the thrills of the hunt which such ease? Do you not remember the pleasure of the first bite and the feel of hot blood running down your throat, fresh from the wound?”
Green eyes moved to meet red eyes, then moonlight and then finally on those of the newcomer, addressing all three of them, “Have you all forgotten what it means to be of our kind or are we in a new age where blood is just a desire and not a way of life?”

((I don't know the new posting order, but I wanna get this one out of the way.))
"you both judge me too quickly. Just because I state facts doesn't mean I'm wholly enthralled by the new days. I'm not so young that this is all I know, and yes, I do still hunt for myself, but on some nights, it's just preferable to be able to sit and have a drink, especially when I'm not seeking a rush. Assuming I just dismiss what my life is about is rather rude."

Will looked to the striking beauty of the woman who had just addressed him as a group. "Sometimes one just doesn't have time for the hunt," he said plainly, in a deep voice. When he spoke, Will's voice seemed to come from deeper within him, as if it was coming from the pit of his stomach rather than his vocal folds. He looked around at the three of them, wondering what their story was. Will so enjoyed pondering each Kindred's past. He cracked his knuckles as the bartender brought him a bourbon glass with a crimson blood in it. He took a whiff--this one must have been a doctor--and then took a drink of the fine specimen.

"I was not judging you just stating a point. Sorry I should of been more specific." Julianna let her head hang a little. "What brings you, all here?" She asked trying to brighten the mood .

The women listened in silence as the three vampires spoke. When they had finished she sighed softly and did something somewhat uncharacteristic of her, an act she would later attribute to the lingering effects of her slumber, she admitted a wrong doing.
“Perhaps,” she said slowly, “I did judge too quickly. I come from a time many hundreds of years ago and as such I cling to the old ways. For this reason I was greatly angered at the thought of my brethren doing that which I consider ‘unnatural’. It is heart warming to know that there are still those who acknowledge the old ways.”
“As for time,” the women continued, swinging round to face the new vampire, “there is always enough time for the hunt. But then perhaps I am out of touch with this new world. So tell me kinsman what is it that you do that takes away all of your time?”
Finally her gaze moved to moonlight eyes, noting her slightly bowed head, head up kinswoman, be proud of what you are, she thought. Remembering the women's question she knew that she must answer. To do otherwise would be discourteous and she was a proud creature.
“My reason for my being here kinswoman is that I am seeking an old friend for he has something of mine I very much want back.”

"myself, I have odd jobs to do to keep my home since I don't feel like delving into my own funds. It keeps my life from getting even duller. And as for me being here... no better place to be..."

Will nodded. "From the olden times, you say? Then you best of all know the Danse Macabre," he let his point hang in the air for a moment, then moved on: "We're living in an age of instant news, 24 hours a day. Cell phone cameras, instant messaging. The mobile phone is the heart of society, nowadays. So naturally, there's no room to f**k up." As if on cue, his own cell phone vibrated in his pocket. He took it out and read the text message to himself. "As for me, I'm just tying up some loose ends."

Julianna nodded in response to the answers she got. "I'm here for revenge." Was her simple response. She said it with no emotion, but with slightly glazed eyes.

La Danse Macabre, yes, she knew of it; the reminder that in the end death came for all men regardless of their position. “Omnia mors aequat,” she muttered, her thoughts briefly lost in the memory of the last person to have said those words.
With this memory, however, came a sudden and unquenchable thirst. Every time her thoughts drifted back to the man from her memories, she felt a sudden desire for blood. As if the taste of blood on her lips could remind her that she was no longer the young women she was back then.
“Excuse me,” she stated abruptly, “I thirst”. And with these words huge black wings begun to unfurl from her back. On her shoulder Tarak let out a harsh guttural sound and together the two of them disappeared into the night.
Up and up she rose, high above all the world below her. Then with a startling suddenness her wings snapped back and she plummeted back towards the earth. As she landed she reached out with her left hand and craaaack, the man’s neck snapped, killing him instantly. He never saw her coming.
Her head snapped back as she finished drinking. She looked regrettably at the young man who now hung limply in her arms. There had once been a time when she had avoided killing her victims but that had been a long time ago and she was a different person now. Besides her the raven had already begun calling out to his brethren and soon there would be no evidence of her feeding.
As she re-entered the Tavern, it was clear that there was a change in the vampire. Her eyes were darker, the black flecks spreading across her irises and her skin looked almost flushed. As she settled back in her seat, having been gone for less than ten minutes, she licked the last of the blood from her lips.
((sorry long post!))

Will stifled a chuckle. "And now, we see demonstrated the ulterior motives of the hunt," he said to no one in particular. He drank the last of his own glass, and cracked his neck before removing his sunglasses, revealing the deep, crimson pupils that seemed to bore into the very souls of the living. He smiled a bit, revealing the tips of fangs. "How was it?"

Julianna dropped her head a litte more from shame, shes never been hunting. 'I've been a vampire for 4 months and I havn't really acted as one.' She scolded herself in her head. She decided If she was going to get revenge she'd have to learn to be a vampire.

The woman folded her wings against her back but this time kept them there so that they framed her body like a dark cloak. Running a hand through her red curls she allowed herself a moment to adjust to her newly perceived awareness of the room. The blood had served to shake of the last dregs of sleep. “How was it?” one of the vampires asked and the women turned to face him. He had removed his glasses and she could his eyes were crimson in colour. She tilted her head back slightly, almost as if savouring the last taste of the dark liquid.
“Still as delicious as I remember. Few things in life can give me such joy anymore as the first taste of fresh blood after several centuries sleep. Mayhap when you have time, you and the young one will try it, unless of course you already have.”
