Julianna wished she was at her loft again, with it's beautiful maroon couches and twilight blue walls. The thoughts of her old loft settled in her head as she walked down the curving street at night. Every other sidewalk piece seemed to be out of place in this neighbourhood, like it was planned to crumble beneath your feet. This walk was worth while for Julianna because it would lead her to the hopes she held in her non-beating heart.
Why was she put on the spot and left as a vampire?, why couldn't it be someone else? All of her friends fled when she told them. Now she was aiming to meet vampires like her, in a place where they could chat their rotting hearts out. It was just a couple more blocks. Julianna had no idea what it was but it seemed to be a club of some sort, the way her friend described it. Now the question is, Will there actually be other Vampires that want to fight against their own species?

Avery yawned quietly as he sat down at a table, looking into his glass.
It was a boring night, the nights for the past few months seemed just as boring, nothing exciting ever coming his way.
He didn't know why it was there was so little activity in his town, or somehow he missed it all...
Either way, it seemed every night he ended up coming to this exact same club to drink a tall glass of Type O, and then sit around as eternity passed him by...
Part of him was thankful for the tranquility, the safety of his life, knowing others were dieing... but another part of him wanted to be out of this calm and into the turbulance...

Julianna sighed as she stood infront of the small, bricked tavern. It looked welcoming. 'but looks can be decieving.' Julianna thought to herself. The rusty doors held a sign that said 'Open.' She took a quick breath and stepped into the small tavern...

Avery's eyes briefly flashed at the new comer, but didn't pay her much heed, going back to his drink resting on the table.

Juliannas' eyes briefly gazed around the bar. 'Looks just about as normel as every other place I've been.' She thought. She kept her gaze upon the seating arrangements. Everyone minding their own business didn't notice.

Avery quickly finished his drink, running his tongue over a fang before waving at the bartender to bring another over.

Julianna walked swiftly over to the counter. "Type A please?" She asked the bartender as she grazed her fingers over the counters edge.

He watched as the bartender served the new girl her drink before sending a waiter over to give him his Type O.
Avery couldn't help his curiosity, never having seen this girl around before...

Julianna sipped at her drink while surveying the area. She wondered if she could get some recrutes, She couldn't imagine venturing out alone to kill her own kind.

The moon hung high in the sky casting its feeble light on the ground below. Great stone slabs rose up from the ground pointing to the heavens like fingers raised in accusation. Their faces carved with the stories of lost ones buried beneath them. The weak light cast an eerie glow over the landscape scaring away all life. Save of course for a single black raven who sat perched atop the tall spire in the centre. Its mistress stood below starring out at the sprawling metropolis below. A slight smirk danced across her features, the tilting of the lips revealing gleaming white fangs. Tongue ran over blood red lips as her eyes drank in the sights below. She could almost picture the sensation of blood as it ran down her throat.
‘Tarak’ she called, her voice low and musical, and the raven lifted itself from the spire to land on her shoulder. This raven was new to her, but it knew her through its ancestors, the young fledgling who had been befriended by a young vampire. Every time she awoke again, one of his lineage would be there to great and Tarak was honoured that he had been chosen to accompany her.
‘It still stands?’ she asked and the raven appeared almost to nod in response. ‘Then take me’. Black wings began to unfold as she said this, stretching high above her head. Tarak spread his own wings in response and took to the skies, the women following behind.
Soon she reached the entrance to a small bricked tavern. Its location was discreet, hidden at the end of one of the many back alleys of the city. The message was clear; outsiders not welcome. The women folded her wings against her back as she stepped into the dimly lit tavern. Her eyes took a second to adjust to the brighter lighting and she stood by the entrance for a while drinking in the sights before her. She recognised none of the vampires before her. They were oddly clad and she looked at them in disdain. They were new bloods, draped in the clothes of new era.

Avery watched as someone else walked in, another new girl to the bar.
There was something up that night, and he didn't understand it at all, not sure if he wanted to...
His drink was quickly finished before he moved up to the bar and getting another, maybe able to listen in to anything the new comers said and find out what was up, if they said anything at all...

Julianna glanced over her shoulder to find someone new. She quickly looked back at her drink before finishing it off. 'This nights going to be interesting.' She thought to her self. "Could I get another one?" She asked after thinking things through. 'I'll need conversation to get recrutes.'

The women glided soundlessly across the hard ground, her wings melting into her back as she moves. At the bar she settled herself down next to a young woman with moonlight eyes. Black eyes swept back and forth as her young raven watched the room for her. They settled on the young vampire beside them and the raven uttered a harsh guttural sound. “Hush, little one”, the women whispered in her low musical voice and the raven stilled immediately.
Besides her another young vampire was sitting down. The raven’s black eyes swung round to fix on the male but as with the female he judged that he meant no harm. Both ordered glass of blood and the woman cocked her head in confusion. This was not the way she remembered but then she had been asleep for a long time.
“What era are we in that our kind no longer engages in the hunt?” she asked the pair in her usual blunt manner. “I have awakened to find this world a strange place, different from the time I remember. How is it that our kind has become so complacent?”
((better?))
