'Give me one good reason why I would have to lie about something like my state of being.'

"I don't know, because you're really mad, or upset or something, and just don't wanna tell it. I can't see what's in your head so I can't really tell."

'And it should stay that way,' Hart said bluntly.

"yeah." *yep, he's hiding something...I probably said something, I tend to do that alot, I should really be less serious.*

Hart shifted uncomfortably, suddenly feeling guilty for being short with Artos. He sighed shook his head slightly glancing over at artos, and then quickly back to the floor.

Artos stood there quietly *break the awkward silence!* he mentally chided himself. "so...what do you think of Rivendell so far?"

Hart shrugged and scrubbed a hand through his hair. 'It's fine, I guess. I'm kind of uncomfortable here, though.'

'Hardly,' Hart replied, sighing. 'I'm not really in much of a talking mood,' he mumbled, staring at the floor. Being who he was, he didn't want to offend artos, but there was no use in beating around the bush and trying to make small talk when all Hart really wanted at that moment was to be left alone.

*Naurwen finally came back with a basket in her hands. Artos and Hart were silent, never a good sign. Nevertheless, Naurwen tried to be cheerful. She gave them both a bright smile.* "I figured we could eat out in one of the gardens. I'm sure you two don't want to put up with any more elves than you have to."

"sure, sounds fun." Artos grinned.

'It doesn't matter to me,' Hart said quietly, shrugging slightly. I knew I should have just let Artos and Naurwen come here on their own. It's all downhill from here, he thought.
