The merchant festival is in full swing. Merchants everywhere, from the waters of Vivec to the docks of Anvil, have cut their prices and hung banners for all to see. Streaming colors drift along warm breezes while children run in the streets. The perfect day; the perfect disguise.
A ship sails into the harbor of Anvil. A simple cargo ship, to the casual eye. Its contents, however, are anything but simple. In cages below the deck, there are several people, many of each race. They have nothing but old sacks for clothing, shackles on their wrists, and simple string sandals. The boat comes to a stop, and a light comes from the back of the ship. "Go towards it, and don't look back." A gruff voice speaks from the front of the ship. "Report to one of the guilds, whichever you want. If you don't, you won't live through the night."
That was 5 days ago. It is now the 15th of Mid Year, 4E 5.

This is a possible future for the Elder Scrolls timeline, as it left off in Oblivion. If you haven't played the main story of Oblivion, there may be some spoilers.
I'm hoping for more of an intrigue feel than a high action setup. As it stands, things are pretty open. Ask questions if anything's not clear!
Characters will be the prisoners on the boat. I left 5 days of stuff open between the intro and the start of the game itself, and of course there's the lives people had before becoming a prisoner. I'll leave the "why"s and "where"s up to y'all.
Is anyone interested in this?

A little background of the Tamriel Timeline and Calendar (because I looked it up and thought it'd be fun to post ) :
There are 12 months in the Tamriellic Calendar. Each is 30 days. They are otherwise the same as the Gregorian Calendar (the one most of the English-speaking world uses these days), so the months are in the same order, and seasons are about the same. The week is also seven days.
Months:
Morning Star
Sun's Dawn
First Seed
Rain's Hand
Second Seed
Mid Year
Sun's Height
Last Seed
Hearthfire
Frostfall
Sun's Dusk
Evening Star
Days:
Sundas
Morndas
Tirdas
Middas
Turdas
Fredas
Loredas
Years are listed first by era, then by year. For those familiar with the games, TES1 spans from 3E 389 to 3E 399, TES2 spans from 3E 405 to 3E 417, TES3 spans from 3E 427 to 3E 430, and TES4 starts in 3E 433 and ends with the third era. Here's more history (warning: game spoilers) and Here's the calendar.
