((The reason this is in the Original Themes Board is because .Hack does not have it's own board. I did not create .Hack, I do not own .Hack and in all likelihood, never will.)) The World, an online virtual rpg. Strange things have been happening, rouge AIs popping up all over the place, leaving the Cobalt Knights busy and frustrated. And in the midst of it all, a dark shadow drapes itself over the World... Linsaari logged in as Aysel, appearing in a courtyard filled with other players. Some glanced her way, but most where busy talking to others. It didn't bother her that they showed so little interest in the newest addition to the crowd, she had gotten used to humans not paying attention to everything that went on around them. Linsaari could see it all, payed attention to it all, making sure that there was nothing she needed to know about the situation. She walked out of the courtyard and into a street, which was relatively empty. Maybe she should go on a quest. It had been a while since her last one, but players usually went with parties and suchlike. There was a tavern in this virtual town, if she remembered correctly. She allowed herself a small smile. Of course she remembered, she wasn't some human with a forgetful mind. All of her information was there, in sorted files, able to be called up at a moments notice. There was a tavern in this town, and Linsaari made her way toward it.
Draped in a dark cloak, Twindeath or Twin, as people say, swiftly walked through the small Root Town. What little showed of his armor, couldn't be seen anyway. His dark red boots never made a sound. Puddles started to form as artificial rain began to pour down on the lone figure. He made his way to the tavern. When he stepped through the door, every person in the room stopped their conversations and looked at him. Two dark red gloves came from underneath the black cloak. They were scaled, strange, very few had even shreads of scaled armor. The two scaled gloves pushed the hood of the cloak back, revealing a helmeted head. His face was clearly visible, smooth tanned skin and dark grey eyes. His helmet, was of the same material as the gloves. The cloak dropped. Everyone gasped in horror at what they saw. Twindeath was covered in full Ancient Scale Armor. The rarest of rares. People began to clear tables. Twin sat at one, and began going through checklists upon checklists of things. Every one began to back away slowly. They knew what had happened to Twindeath. He was stuck within 'The World'. He didn't even try to get out, he would rather be in 'The World' then the real world anyway. Checklist one done, now for the next.

Linsaari entered the tavern, the first thing her eyes saw was the dark red armored figure sitting alone, and the rest of the people sitting as far away as the virtual walls would permit. She knew him, though they had never met. Twindeath, one of the first that had been confined to The World. Linsaari felt no fear as she walked over to his table, she had made him this way. "Hello, need a partner to go questing with?" Normally she wouldn't have talked to him, but the rest of the people in here showed no backbone whatsoever.
Armand log in inside the tavern already in a seat next to the table the two were siting in.Armand looked back at the two and then stood up and pushed his chair in.He then started walking torward the tavern door.
When he got to the door he stop and looked at the crowed of people huddle up aganist the wall.He turned to them."What are you so afraid of?"A man pointed at twin.Armand looked at twin."I still dont know what your afriad of."Armand laugh to himself and walked the rest of the way out of the tavern.
As the rain came down on his face, all armand could think about is (I love this game.)

Twindeath didn't answer the AI. He leaned back in his chair and pushed his feet on the table legs. His chair propped up on it's hine legs. He also ignored Armand. Fear was nothing. He was actually quite satisfied with what Armand had said. He dropped the chair on all four legs and stood up. A whisper echoed through out the tavern as Twindeath spoke.
Everyone in the tavern gasped as he spoke. No one had heard him speek. They wouldn't hear him speek ever again.

((Right now, the AI is really in her hideout, but her consciousness is in the username Aysel.)) An odd human to be sure. Linsaari smiled faintly, and whispered, "Good. My name is Aysel." Then she sat back, in no hurry to do or go anywhere. She was not usually impatient, and to move quickly now would be unnecessary.

Kael walked down the street, looking for Armand. Where is he? he thought as he glanced down yet another virtual alleyway. Then he caught a glance of black and red with white on top. It was purely coincidental that they both had similar hair and armor colors, but Kael sometimes jokingly referred to them as 'twins'. "Armand!" he called as he jogged up the way. "I've been looking for you."
Twindeath's smirk faded as he sensed someone else. His clenched fists swung only a little down at his side. He headed for the door. His dark grey eyes set straight. The black cloak swayed behind him lightly. His right foot stepped out the door. His left foot stepped through. He stopped, virtual rain falling down on his Ancient Dragon Scale armor. The Dark red looked almost black. Twin's eyes searched Kael's body. Same color armor. His eyes narrowed as his eyes glanced back at Kael's own. His gloved hands grasped the edge of his hood and brought it over his head. His entire face was covered in shadows again.

Kael looked at the tavern and at the other player staring back at him. That's Twindeath! Another person trapped in The World. Did he know about him? Kael had taken great pains not to be discovered, lingering in empty places where no other players went. How could he know? He had not even told Armand.
As Armand disappeared, Twindeath turned his gaze toward him on the tavern roof. He would have to talk to him later however. He turned his head back toward Kael. He began to walk swiftly. He walked right through Kael's left arm without stopping. On the other side of Kael, the Chaos Gate twisted. Players were going back and forward, some yelling with glee, some crying in despair. People often went to servers too high a level for them. Twindeath walked right up to the Chaos Gate and stared at it a few moments. He searched through his virtual inventory. Finding what he needed, Twindeath pulled out a ring made out of crystal. He placed it in the Chaos Gate and began virtually typing in the server he wanted to go to. The Chaos Gate flashed red before returning to normal. Twindeath could now go to the server when ever he wanted, all he had to do was press a button. He had hacked into a blocked server. He normally did this because all the non-blocked servers were flooded with people, he prefered solitude while going into servers.
