Debris filled the streets creating catacombs and mazes of crumbling buildings and last graves. Once massive towers and keep's are now masses of crumbling rock and stone and iron. Soldiers from the Republic of Espher fight a dire war against an undying and unexhaustable opponent.
The sky is red as the clouds themselves bleed for the innocent ones who have fallen to their blackened and dirty hands...
---:0:---
"Check your six! Watch the crossfire, stay icey boys!" One of the brightly-armored Espher soldiers shouted to his comrades as a group of revolutionaries rushed them. Him and his 6 buddies aimed with their Repeating rifles and opened fire, killing several of the poor peasant's in the first volley.
"They jus' keep comin' sir!" Shouted an Ajjit, who re-loaded his weapon quickly and opened fire once more on the peasants. "Ve need to fall back!"
"No! We were ordered to secure this block for the Emperor's Daughter! We cannot retreat!" The commander shouted, Drawing a shortsword and stabbing someone who came to close.
He looked over to a private nearby, who had dropped his weapon and was now using a long two-handed sword to rend the revolutionaries to shreds. He was human...obviously. But the way he moved, the way he wielded that black sword with the dragon was in-human...it was perfect. However, he was too distracted by the mans prowess to notice the one who snuck up on him, and was killed slowly by several stab-wounds to the back and kidney's...he died several moment's later.
The other 4 Soldiers died next...but that one human managed to hold his ground...until the Motorcade hold its precious cargo drove by. He looked over and saw the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eye's on...an Ajjit with purplish fur and ear's...it was the Emperor's Daughter...
Her beauty didn't distract him to long, as he was right back to cutting up peasant's, but it did distract him from the massive explosion that destroyed the motorcade and killed the princess...
--:0:--
The dust settled on the wreckage of a recent Turf war between the Turks and the Black Dragons...the Dragons were the clear victor. Kross's ken eye's surveyed the surroundings, he kicked a nearby body over and sighed, "What a waste..." He said, looking up at his companion's. "Lets head back to Headquaters...I'm starving..."

Jiira slunk around the battle field, her tail swinging behind her.
She loved sneaking around battlefields once the fighting was over, it made for the best pickings. She quickly looked through a dead mans pockets, taking anything of value. "oh, this is gonna be a good haul, I can tell."
Jiira dropped the items she had taken into a satchel on her waist before continueing her search, making sure to keep hidden in the shadows, knowing that there would still be people around from the battle, and while she could take care of herself, she would prefer not to fight at the moment.
Then something shiny caught her eye and she quickly rushed into the open and grabbed it, getting back into the shadows just as quickly.

One of the companions was an eerie sort. The human was clad in flexible steel armor with archaic symbols covering each plate. Sand caked some of the armor and a sand colored cloth was over the human's face, covering the human's bridge of the nose down. The human almost looked like an assassin clad in armor. It was apprent by the stance and features of the human, that it was a male. His white pants and shirt were stained with the blood of many revolutionaries. Not only that, but the leather bracers and gloves that he wore were also tinted with blood, along with the ancient spear that he held in his right hand. A sleeveless black cloak was draped over his shoulder. The hood was up but you could still see his upper face perfectly. The end of the cloak was torn so that his legs were visible through the strands that remained. Obviously this man was a great warrior.
Adron bent down examining a man. How many people did he kill this battle? How many have fallen before him in his life time? The answers were countless. No one, not even Adron himself, knew how many revolutionaries and demons he had killed. It was strange that the demons did not come to this battle. They were sighting in Harad marching for this very city. Why weren't they here? Adron banished the thought from his mind. He would have to study the matter more closely later. His blue eyes searched the dead man's face. They all look the same. Adron's thoughts were interupted by the roars and cheers of the surviving soldiers around him.

Jiira contined looting the bodies, until she came to one on the side, close to the shadows that had many valuables. gold and silver coins, jewels... She didn't know why someone would carry so much, but she was going to take it. Then she saw a jewel embedded on a sword and used her nails to start to pry it out.

Adron heard something behind him. It sounded like nails scraping metal. It was faint, but for a warrior's ears, it could be heard from a distance. Adron turned around but saw nothing. Nothing except the dead bodies of those who were killed in the battle. His blue eyes narrowed. Without a word or noise, Adron began to walk. The black cloak waving behind him in the wind. The torn edges giving the man a sinister look. The scraping sound grew louder with each step Adron took. Finally, he came to a turn in the debris ridden street. He pivoted on his left foot, turning to corner easily. There he saw a cat like woman bending over a body.
She held a sword. Adron quickly rushed to her. He swiftly grasped her arm with his left hand. As he did this, words emitted from beneath the sand colored clothe.
You are now under the direct ward of the Black Dragons. Do not resist, or I will act with force.
His heartless grib unwavering. He pulled her up from a crouching state.

"let go of me!" Jiira struggled wildly against the man who held her, yanking and pulling her arm, scratching at his hand as she growled.

Adron lifted her higher and pulled his spear to her throat, his heartless air not wavering or thinning, but getting stronger.
"Do not move Ajjit...your under the ward of the Black Dragon gang...and your coming with me..." He say's, "Is that clear?"

She growled at him, "let go of me ya creep!" she kicked at him, then reached down with her hand to draw her weapon.

With swift reflexes Adron tossed the Ajjit so she was off balance, then swung at her exposed head with the hard dull end of his spear, hoping to knock her unconsious.

Jiira winced and grabbed the back of her head as she regained balance, holding her dagger in her hand. She wouldn't let this guy get close to her again, if he even stepped forward she'd attack him.

Adron smiled, "Y'know its been awhile since I've fought a rogue..." He say's, spinning around on his heel and lashing out with the sharp end of his spear.

Jiira blocked his spear with her dagger, quickly leaping back. She had a bad feeling about this battle, and just wanted to find a way out. Quickly glancing around, she found a little shop that had a pole leading to the roof. Jiira didn't waste any time, running to it and easily climbing up onto the roof. "sorry bucko, but I don't have time to waste with you. Can't stay in one place too long." she winked at him, and then started to run along the roof, away from the man. ((and then when she gets to another roof, it come crashing down, and either she falls into your guys lap... or leaps into it ))

Adron chuckled a bit and placed the blunt end of his spear on the ground and leaned up against it, watching the Ajjit run off toward the roof. "That roof's unstable but...I bet you can't tell that now can you?"

Of course she didn't hear him as she ran, and leaped to another roof, running along it. Then when she reached the edge, she felt it give out under her foot, and her eyes widened. On instinct she leapt forward to avoid falling and hurting herself, not paying attention to where she was going. As she propelled forward, her arm hit a pole, knocking her about, making Jiira lose any sense of balance she had. Suddenly nervous, she curled up to protect herself from anything she might hit... But then she felt something weird... She fell against something, and quickly grabbed on, not wanting to fall, her eyes still closed. Slowly she opened her yellow eyes, and her fur stood on end as she found that she was face to face with a man.

Kross's eye's widened as he cradled the Ajjit in his arm's, the wind blowing his spikey hair about in an odd manner, the sun was to his back casting some of his features in shadow. His lips moved a bit, "Um...hello there..."
