Kaz woke up in his flat groggily and slowly, really wishing he could've stayed asleep. He sat up and rubbed his eyes, his vision slowly coming to. The dark apartment was revealed, and his fellow mate was sleeping on the floor. It was his turn for the couch, and his Lycan friends were in the other room, sleeping together on the bed. They were a couple, and had been together since before they moved in with him. He considered waking up his friend, Sandra, but decided not to. He'd let her sleep a little longer. He walked to the kitchen and opened the fridge, to find the milk went bad and there was no food. With a heavy sigh, he walked to the bathroom, shedding his clothes as he went. He reached the bathroom and turned on the water.
After he had washed, he toweled off and wrapped it around his waist. He opened the door to the bathroom to walk out and Sandra was right in front of it.
"Holy sh**! D**n it, don't do that."
He shook his head at her and started to walk out.
"You were in there for twenty minutes!"
"Now I'm not. Problem solved."
He walked to his and Sandra's bedroom and grabbed some clothes and got dressed.
"I'm going out to get some food and stuff!"
He yelled it through the house so she would hear him. He heard a muffled 'Ok.' from the bathroom. With that, he slipped on his Vans and walked out the front door. After taking the stairs down to the sidewalk, he patted his pockets, looking for something. Realizing he was out of cigarettes, he sighed. He started walking down to the convenience store, the only thing open this late.

*Melinda hummed softly to herself as she pulled on her slim, black minidress, smoothing it out over her slender body so that it clung to her curves. She smiled at her reflection in the mirror, pulling back her freshly dried hair and placing several pins to hold it firmly off of her neck, although she did leave a few loose strands in front to frame her rather attractive features. Afterwards, she lined her stormy blue eyes with black eyeliner and mascara before putting on a dab of her favorite perfume, grabbing her purse, slipping into her black heels, and leaving the mansion. She wasn't at all in the mood to sit around the den with the other women, smoking and drinking their cold glasses of blood while gossiping about the rest of the coven. She grew so bored with gossip. She craved more excitement and a change of scenery. She didn't speak to anyone as she left the property, simply nodding to a man patrolling the fence before opening the iron gate and slipping out of the coven's domain, closing the gate behind her and walking off down the sidewalk as her heels clicked on the pavement.*

Kaz was walking towards the corner store when he saw a poster nailed to a telephone pole. It was for a rave. He ripped it off, and after looking at it, he folded it and put it in his pocket. He started walking again, when he saw a gorgeous woman walking down the street in a black dress, her heels making a soft 'click' noise every step. It was very odd, and realized she was most likely from the Coven. That kind of formality this late at night, it had to be. He lowered his head, though not alot of good that did him, his vibrant pink hair and all. Most of the Coven knew his name, as well as his features, even if he hadn't met them. It had gotten him into a few fights.

*Melinda glanced around as she walked down the sidewalk with an almost arrogant air about her, trying to decide which location she could visit to partake in or observe the most excitement. However, her eyes stopped their roaming when they fell on a shock of pink hair that stood out sharply from the dull grays of the city. She stopped walking, pausing on the sidewalk as she remembered some of the gossip around the mansion about a pink-haired vampire who had forsaken the safety of the coven's hideout. She looked him over slowly, chuckling softly to herself as she wondered what kind of excitement he might bring...*

As he walked, he kept an eye on her, though keeping his head down and hiding it. She stopped suddenly, her eyes falling upon him. A tingle of nervousness went through him as he stopped as well.
"Any reason as to why you are observing me, Vampire?"
He didn't bother to take the safety off his weapon, not because she was a woman, most Coven women can whip ass, but because he didn't know for sure if he was in a hostile environment. He waited it out, hoping this wouldn't ensue more Coven members being aroused.

*Mel raised an eyebrow at him, placing a hand on her hip.* "Is there some reason I shouldn't? After all, you do draw attention to yourself..." *She glanced rather pointedly at his bright hair.* "And you could address me a little more politely, especially in public."

"Why should I show respect for those who have chosen the ways of the Coven?"
With that he started to walk past her, following her with his eyes.

*Mel turned to watch him as he passed, narrowing her eyes.* "Perhaps because they are just as dangerous as you are... only with greater numbers..."

He stopped walking, and turned to face her.
"Using numbers to gain respect is just beating it out of people. There's no real reason I should respect any of you."

"An awfully rude and arrogant little twit, aren't you? And here I thought you might be a bit of excitement... Tell me, do you know anything about me besides where I live?"

"Do I need to? Is there any reason to get to know you? Odds are, you'll end up stabbing me in the back before I can buy you a cup of coffee."

"Oh I see... Do you judge all women walking down the street so harshly? Your love life must be quite depressing..."

"No, I just don't trust you Coven types." A small smile crossed his face. This was starting to amuse him.

*Mel raised an eyebrow at that, her hands resting firmly on her hips.* "Us coven types...? And what label have you come up with for yourself...?"

"Uh, normal person label? One that doesn't believe in a hypocritical hierarchy." He crossed his arms, wondering where exactly this would end up.
