((Takes place before the Underworld movies, though it's modern and still during the reign of the vampire elder Amelia. Only for those willing to use proper grammar and spelling as well as stick to canon, the storyline, and polite ooc discussion before making changes to the storyline. Also, no half-breeds (half lycan/half vampire, half vampire/half human, half lycan/half human, etc.). Pm me if you need help getting started or want to know my ideas for the rpg.))
*Diana ran as fast as she could through the streets, shoving aside all those humans unfortunate enough to get in her way. Her blue-green eyes darted over her surroundings constantly, watchful for those predators who would seek to end her life. Finally, she spotted the concrete staircase and darted toward it, practically flying down the steps and into the subway station below, desperately seeking cover from her bloodthirsty enemy. She had been on a hunt earlier that night in a club and had been interrupted by the sight of a black leather clad vampire that she instinctively knew to be a Death Dealer. She had been reluctant to leave, unsure if she had been spotted for what she was, and it had proved a nearly fatal mistake. The Death Dealer had managed to get dangerously close, forcing her to flee from the nightclub in a hurry. She wasn't sure if she had lost the vampire yet, but she wasn't willing to take any chances, hurrying through the subway station in an attempt to get through the tunnels and back to the lair.*

Jarrek stood at one of the entrances into the subway station, his dark green poncho over him, still wet from the rain up top. He was leaning up against the wall, if anyone was coming down those stairs for the train, Jare would see them way before they even glanced him. His light blue eyes, rather radiant in and glowing with the flickering light above him, slowly scanned the subway, always on watch for one of the Death Dealers to slip up and show themselves. The two custom made M1911's starting to dig painfully into his side under the poncho. He cleared his throat, a hand reaching out from the rain cover, scratching his nose before returning, only to reappear, this time a nice cold Dr. Pepper in his hand. With the other hand, Jarrek pulled the tab on the can, smiling to the sound the soda made, and with the same smile took a drink. Ah...nothing better to fix a dry throat on a boring night than Dr. Pepper. Quietly, Jare continued his soda, still keeping his eyes out for any Death Dealers, but more importantly, Diana. She was supposed to have gone to a club tonight, and he had taken the liberty to make sure she returned to the lair in one piece and still breathing.
"Got to love a good soda." He smiled to a child beside him that had been staring at the can for some time. "Ya want some?" He asked, holding the drink out to the small boy who gladly took it. "Just keep it, my little friend. It's on me."

*Diana raced through the subway station, nearly trampling more than a few people. She was rather disappointed to see that there was a train blocking the tunnel, making it impossible for her to slip into it and get back to the lair. She looked around frantically, praying that she had really lost the Death Dealer and hadn't been followed...*

Jarrek watched as Diana ran passed him, stopping short of the train and looking around as if death itself were following her. He looked puzzed, cocking his head, studying her. The hell went on at that club? Meh....He shrugged it off, picking himself off the wall and smiling once more at the child before walking through the people over to Diana, only once adjusting the Colt .45 secretly.
"Oh Diana!" He smirked, tapping her on the shoulder. "I was wondering when you would be back. You ready to head home? Our friends may decide to show up soon."

*Diana jumped considerably when she felt a hand on her shoulder, nearly attacking before she realized it was just Jarrek. She quickly nodded to his question, instinctively moving a little closer to him as if that would help her defend herself from what might be following her.* "Sooner than you might think. I was spotted. We have to get out of here."

"Spotted?" Jarrek looked at her bewildered, then groaned. "Ah come on.....I thought you were better than than, Diana."
Shaking his head Jare started for the train, easily moving people aside, pardoning himself with a smile before finally reaching the tunnel entrance, Diana behind him. "Alright....you can squeeze yourself through here easily enough.....just keep going till you see a man hole cover with three holes in it and 'pipes' written across it. You should know the way from there.....I'll be right behind ya. I'll do my thing and cause a ruckous." He smiled at her warmly. "I'll see ya back at the lair."
And with that he would turn around, the poncho flying up as he drew both pistols, aiming quickly for the nearest lights and firing a few shots to each. The people in the subway station instantly panicing and running this way and that. No Death Dealer would able to track them now. With a nod he holstered the guns, ducking into the tunnel and quickly running after Diana in an attempt to catch up.

*Diana didn't need to be told twice, heeding Jarrek's advice as she ran off down the tunnel, dropping through the man hole and into the tunnels below, running back to their Lycan lair and hoping that Jarrek would be right behind her. By the time she reached the lair, she was out of breath, breathing heavily after her night of running all over the city streets and then the tunnels below.*

Jarrek was quick to dive into the man hole, placing the cover back over it and locking it tight to keep any suspicious Vampires or humans from wandering into the lair. He lept from the top of the latter that led to the tunnel, landing gracefully to his feet some 20 ft below. With a rather cocky smirk he pulled his poncho off, hanging it over his shoulder as he walked through the corridors, hoping he may run into Diana in the lobby hall of the lair.
"That girl sure does know how to get in trouble." He sighed, turning down a seprate hallway and down a flight of stairs (one he slid down instead of walked) until finally finding his way into the lobby. The old tunnel the lycans had called home was rather quiet tonight. Either everyone was sleeping, partying above, or hunting. It didnt matter to Jarrek however....he had chosen to stay at home with Lucius and a few of the other, more noble men. Now Jarrek wasnt what you would call noble, and that was far from the reason he volunteered for the chance to stay at the lair. The real reason was simple.....he was worried for Diana and a few of the other members, and wanted to watch on the surface to make sure they made it back alright. Not to mention gamble some with Aries and fight a little in the arena with Drekken, the lycan fighting champion for the time being.
"Now....from the looks of it...." He smiled looking at the empty lobby and chairs. "No one is home....meeeeaning.....I get to get comfy."
With a laugh he plopped himself down on a couch, placing his poncho on the arm beside him, hoping maybe the problem of a girl, Diana might show herself.

*Diana was waiting in a corner of the lobby, out of sight just in case trouble had followed... However, after seeing Jarrek at ease, she figured that they were in the clear for the time being... Slowly, she stepped out into the open, watching Jarrek for a moment before speaking softly in her usual sultry voice.* "Are you always so cheerful after someone nearly becomes vampire chow?"

Jarrek smiled. "By now, my dear Diana, you should know I'm always cheery in general. Especially when the person I just saved, just so happens to be, If I must say in my own words, a very attractive woman." He snickered, that warm smile staying on his face as he looked up at her.
"How was the party? Run into any interesting men?" He chuckled. "Any....suave," He pulled his hair back trying to look important. "rich, interesting men that wanted to sweep you off your feet and take you away......or atleast a few blocks down to the nearest hotel room." He laughed, scooting over, patting the spot he was sitting at. "Sit here with me."

*Diana smirked slightly, crossing her arms over her chest as she stayed where she was, staring at Jarrek.* "From the tone of your voice, Jarrek, I'm beginning to think that you wanted to be the one taking me to a hotel room... Which makes me hesitate to sit so close to you."

Jarrek chuckled. "Always one to assume, arent you? I said you were beautiful, never said I wanted to take you to the hotel room....I think it's like two blocks to the left of the subway station up top." He smiled. "Buuut.....why would you connect those two things? Unless that is what you had in mind." He snickered. " Taking a..." Cleared his throat. "handsome beast of a man like myself off to a hotel room." He sat up straight, looking all proper and serious before bursting out laughing.

*Diana smiled a little, shaking her head as she dropped her arms to her side and slowly walked over to Jarrek, sitting down beside him.* "I'm sure you find this all very amusing, but try not to flatter yourself for five seconds, hm? You're not my type." *She smirked at that, even though she didn't really have a type. She just enjoyed messing with him.*

Jarrek stuck his tongue at her like a child would then smiled warmly again. "You know....you lack to see the true beauty in everything." He was teasing some. "Take this old run down home of ours....most of us see it as a rusty, crummy old hunk of junk. But me....I see it as a comfy, cozy home that I wouldnt ever think of leaving. The Death Dealers out there.....Well they have......They're beautiful because...." He stopped, thinking about it. "Alright....maybe THEY arent beautiful....but that's what's so funny about it."

*Diana laughed softly, leaning back in her seat rather casually as she crossed her legs.* "This place is a hunk of junk, and anyone who thinks otherwise is perfectly insane..." *She gave him a rather pointed look.* "And the Death Dealers are even worse... on the inside... On the outside, many of them are actually rather attractive. At first glance I thought that Death Dealer tonight was rather beautiful... until my instincts kicked in and I realized it was a vamp. But those leather clad bodies are rather nice, don't you think?"
