*Mariah's eyes widened considerably.* "Skyships?" *She hesitated, giving him a playful glare.* "You're not just making stuff up to make me look like a fool, are you? Because I am pretty gullible..."

Anton grinned, pleased at her reaction. "I assure you, skyships are perfectly real and perfectly functional." He shook his head in mock disgust. "I still can't believe you've never heard of them."

*Mariah quickly and eagerly sat down on a nearby barrel, propping her chin in her hands and looking at him expectantly.* "Then perhaps you should tell me all about them so I don't look so stupid to the next passenger to board this ship."

Anton grinned, pleased by her attention. "You know what they say... a picture is worth a thousand words," he said as he began to conjure an image of a skyship, hovering just over his palm.

*Mariah's violet eyes widened and shone with her wonder, her mouth slightly open in awe. She wasn't sure what she was more impressed with, Anton's magic or the beauty of the skyship.* "Wow... How is this possible...?"

Anton smiled, pleased by her reaction, although he couldn't tell if it was to his magic or the skyship. "With magic, almost anything is possible. Its only a matter of time before someone makes a ship that sails under the waves."

"Under the waves?" *Mariah was even more excited by that possibility.* "If there's ever a ship like that, I want to be on it. The only thing better than being on the sea is being under it..."

A thought occured to Anton. "Oh, its only a matter of time," he said casually. "Its not like the spell for breathing underwater is particularly new or difficult."

"Maybe not for you, Mr. Wizard. If I knew how to make myself breathe underwater, I'd have spent a lot more time with my mother and far less with my father." *Mariah grinned at him.* "Despite my elven heritage, I'm rather hopeless when it comes to magic."

Anton smiled slyly. "There's an interesting thing about the standard water breathing spell... it doesn't have to benefit only the person who cast it."

"Oh really...?" *Mariah suddenly smirked at him, extremely excited.* "You know... One of these days, I'm going to go spear fishing for the crew... A spell like that sure would come in handy..."

Anton grinned. "There have to be some benefits to being a wizard, to make up for all that time we have to spend reading and poring over dusty old books."

"Good. Hopefully you can make up for the usefulness that this bunch lacks." *Mariah grinned, nodding to the rest of the crew.*

Anton smiled slightly. "If I'm not too busy being sick to do anything else."

"You'll get used to it soon enough, mate. Don't worry too much about it." *Mariah laughed a little.*
