"You're the first person I've ever told my story to. I don't know how how I was so lucky to ever meet you."
*Amaera smiled and lowered her gaze almost shyly.*
"So, what about you? I trust your story isn't as tragic as my own."
*She laughed a little, shaking her head a little as she leaned back again.* "Not much of a story to tell... Never knew my parents... My mother left me with her parents shortly after I was born and pretty much disappeared after that. So they raised me despite the fact that they were already old when I was brought to them. My grandfather was a wood elf and so we lived in the forest. He taught me everything I needed to know to survive there... Taught me to love it almost as much as he did. But my grandmother taught me the ways of the moon elves... I learned how to dance and sing and I had to be the happiest child ever." *She laughed softly, remembering...* "It got lonely though... I rarely got to meet anyone else besides them. So when I learned that my mother had been a bard, I devoted my time to learning more about music so that I could fill the hole in my life. When my grandparents died, I left. I've been wandering ever since." *She shrugged lightly, running her fingers through her dark hair.*

The meals came, and conversation was temporarily suspended for eating. About half-way through his meal, Eldae asked, "I have a question, a very serious one. Have you ever been to the Underdark?"

*Amaera took a sip of her drink, shaking her head.* "No... Never. Why?"

"No... Never. Why?"
Eldae sighed. "Then this whole adventure may be impossible. If the drow have found the gem, unlikley as it is without the map, they may retreat into the Underdark with it. I've heard stories about the Underdark, but without someone with first-hand experience, I don't want to go down there."

*Amaera hesitated for a moment before speaking softly.* "I don't know anyone that would know it... But I do know someone that looks like he would..."

"Any help would be... well... helpful... at this point. Just as long as your friend isn't an Illithid."

"Honestly... I don't know him very well... Happened upon him in the woods on my way here... A drow that calls himself Blood Lark..."

"A drow that calls himself Blood Lark..."
Eldae thought about that for a moment. "A drow... If he would be willing to join us, he could be very helpful... Of course, that all depends on whether or not we can find him."

*Amaera smirked slightly.* "My dear Eldae... Have you forgotten that you have two rangers on your side? I can remember where I met him. It shouldn't take long to find him from there."

Eldae smiled. Seeing that they had finished dinner, Eldae asked, "Should we go find him now? Drow are notorious for trying to avoid the light."

*Amaera smiled and shrugged lightly.* "It's up to you. I'm only here to serve and get a few good stories on the way."

"I'm only here to serve and get a few good stories on the way."
Eldae shook his head. "I disagree with that. I would rather have you here with me than anyone else." With that Eldae stood up. "I say we go find him now."

*Amaera practically beamed at that, standing as he did.*
"I say we go find him now."
"As you wish." *She turned her back to him for a brief moment, lifting her cloak from her chair. She clasped it around her neck, once again covering the tattoos on her back. After shaking her dark hair loose of the fabric, she turned to Eldae.* "I hope you don't have any plans for the rest of the night. It might take me a while to find him."

"It might take me a while to find him."
"I'm in no hurry." After paying the bill, Eldae put his arm around Amaera's shoulder and led her from the inn. "Now... which direction did you come from?"

((*has no clue where they are so picks some random direction and points* Thataway! lol.))
"Now... which direction did you come from?"
*Amaera grinned slightly, looking up at Eldae. She was finding herself more and more comfortable around him.* "Directly east of here..." #nosmileys
