Norton picked up the girl off the floor as she squirmed around her in his arms now. She was very light, not difficult to carry, thankfully. He looked at Jake and nodded in reply, "I guess you can take this fellow, Dack. Do you know where to find us if and when he waked up?" He looked between Bishop and Jake wondering if they knew where the other stayed, or hid.
The girl was moving more frequently now jerking her head from side to side as if having a nightmare. He wondered if he should wake her up. He watched her for some time as she kicked one of his arms a few times with her leg. He whispered something in her ear finally inaudible to the rest, "Calm down, you are safe, its just a dream..." He turned to Bishop hoping he wasn't making a mistake trusting this man. But he was indeed quite powerful, definitely someone to have on his side. "Lead the way when you are ready Bishop...", he spoke finally.

"Nightshade here can find you," Jake said. "She's... an expert tracker. We should probably avoid getting separated too often if we intend to work together, though... if Nightshade gets killed, we're screwed."
He picked Dack up... the man was much heavier than the girl, but nothing Jake's intense physical conditioning couldn't handle.

(Hey, guess what. Time to meet Cyclops and the Beast. Uh, if I'm not mistaken, Beast created the plant girl?)
Dack was not own for sleeping fitfully, but when you had only survived for most of your life, always running. It has an affect on you. Dack was tired, his body completely spent. Unlike the girl, sunlight never really charged his batteries. Dack would learn that things were more different than he realized just by his prescence.
He grunted a few times and a growl escaped his thoat as he relived the escape to the past and watched all those he cared for die before his eyes. He was the last, and he had to change things. For the sake of humanity and revenge. The X-Men had to be stopped. He just had to remember the key moments in time that would soon appear.
Already, Dack had interrupted the timeline in using his mutant abilites to get here. Cerebro knows a mutant with A-Class abilites is loose, getting out of the subway tunnels was the clincher.
Xavier sat in his chair and watched over and over again the explosion that rocked Manhattan. Enough electricity to destroy several city blocks, yet it seemed like it was aimed up. Rogue and Gambit had not returned yet and who or whatever was out there was a threat to the populace. This mutant wasn't like others, how could he have gone so long undetected. It couldn't be a new mutant, not with that much power. Cerebor even said there were other signature's with him at the time of the explosion. All B-Class or above. Dangers indeed. One of those signatures Xavier recognized. He pressed a button on his chair.
"Get Hank McCoy and Scott Summers in here now," he said in a rough voice, nothing like the original Xavier that we know...

*he didn't create her, but he oversaw the instillation of the bio-electronics inside her head... so basically, he oversaw the part of them making her into a monster. yeah...*
She instantly calmed down, the nightmare passing strangely fast... she could feel the changes within her now, but she didn't heed them anything that rest would not take care of... there was more to come, she was sure of it. But she rested, exploring internally the changes that were taking place.
Images of what she assumed to be her mother flashed by, along with frightening images that she didn't understand, ones of her facing a ceiling, lights beaming down all around her... They scared her, made her jump again, but just remembering that voice of the man made her calm down. Even with such aminosity about her, she was able to stay calm... even with so many questions, she remained still and quieted her nerves as such...

Bishop nodded, feeling a cool sensation flow over his body. he looked up into the sky and smiled, "Yeh... les get th'hell outa here as quickly as possible... you and you..." He points at the man carrying the girl and another person, "Les go. Now." And with that he's drawing his glocks and looking around, they hadn't actually killed Rogue from what he could tell... she had the ability to teleport...

The girl had relaxed considerably in his arms now. He slowly readjusted his hold so he could free one hand if he needed to, without dropping her. He looked at Bishop as he drew his guns and raised a brow. "I thought we were gonna teleport... or shadow-step, or whatever you call it, away from here. I really am in no position to face off against a pissed-off Rogue and Gambit."
He looked around at the others, nodding at Jake. He could see Dack had a great power. What was curious was that he had never heard of him. That meant he was either some sort of spy for the X-Men or he had just dropped out of the sky, the later seemed highly unlikely. He also wondered why, if they really were, after this girl? So many questions and no answers. He didn't like that much. And to top that, he had lost the book that would have probably helped him achieve something with his powers he had been trying to do for so long.

Jake returned Norton's nod. He wondered about these people, all of whom had immense power. He had only heard of a couple, and had met none aside from those he had brought with him. There was still danger... the wounded had to be moved to safety. "Unless anyone's got any objections, I'm taking Dack out of here before more X-Men show up," he said. "He's in no condition to fight. Norton, if you want yourself and the girl to get to safety as well, grab onto my arm and I'll take you along. Marshmallow, Nightshade, Fulcrum, stay here." Marshmallow and Nightshade nodded... Jake's earpiece gave a brief, barely audible burst of static. The team's sniper, Fulcrum, had heard and acknowledged the order. Jake readied himself to teleport, but gave Norton time to grab him -- and the others time to object, if they wanted -- before taking off.

(( sorry, was kinda waiting for Jess to post but... oh well... :S ))
Norton looked back at Bishop and siad in a bit of an apologetic tone, "Sorry matey, but I think I will take the fast ride outta here. I really don't wanna run around carrying her around like this. Hope we will meet again sometime...". He turned to Jake and nodded, "Thanks again I guess. Can I get an idea where we would be heading off to?"
He looked around at the unique group assembled here as if knowing they might not meet each other again. The free mutants were dissapearing very fast and he usually avoided mutants he might have been detected with before by Cerebro unless the meeting was for a really short duration. Besides, that way there was no danger of them being used as a bait for ambush. He grabbed hold of Jake shirt, barely managing to keep the hold with the weight of the girl's body resting on the hand weighing it down a bit. It was a good position to strengthen the forearm muscles, but right now, he just wished the ride would be a realy short one.

"Transylvania," Jake said in answer to Norton's question. Before Norton could comment on the odd choice of location, Jake had whisked them away. He was certain Bishop had heard him give Norton the location, and that Bishop would hook back up with them if he wanted.
They arrived in front of an ancient castle, gloomy and forbidding. It conjured up images of old Dracula movies, and usually weirded out most visitors. "Welcome to The Castle," Jake told Norton. A small, fast-moving aircraft of some sort passed overhead, moving in the castle's direction. "Ah, the others are still going to beat us there," he said. As he walked up the driveway toward the castle, he explained, "I can't teleport directly inside. It's booby-trapped in case Nightcrawler tries it. Let's just say they'd have to scan on the subatomic level in order to find me if I came in too close." He gestured to what appeared to be a hideously deformed satellite dish on top of the castle. "And that thing blocks psionics," he said. "We're safe from Cerebro here."
The doors swung open seemingly of their own accord, and Jake smiled and nodded at what appeared to be a blank stretch of wall. "Say hello to Shroud," he told Norton. "Our resident invisible man. He's the caretaker here."
(OOC: Sorry if I advanced us too far. I got typing and just couldn't stop. d**n, it feels good to not have writer's block anymore.)

*twitches* *actually, it's nice to see that this is bleedin' moving again >.<*
She stirred, only a twitch at first, but soon she was squirming, wanting to be put down. The color on her body was beginning to fade, and she was feeling the effects of having no sunlight nearby. Still, her body was somehow storing what she had gotten, and used it now to writhe herself free. Popping out of the hands she'd been graciously sleeping in, the girl somehow managed to land on one hand and her feet, a triangular position that was unusual, but stable in some way. Retreating, she looked about her new environment, clinging to the man's clothes in front of her; she didn't want to get lost in this scary place, not with everything she'd been through not long before.
Looking at her arms, she saw the vines again, but this time they were vibrant, full of color, instead of the brownish ropes she had before; there was even a bud on one of them, and as she watched, it began to blossom, becoming a small flower as it did so. Such simple wonders lead her to be distracted, and before long, she found that there wasn't anyone around. Her skin crawled (literally) as she frantically scanned, looking for the others she'd been with just a moment before...

He took in all the information Jake was giving him but his eyes were fixed on the dishes. His luck couldn't have been better, he thought to himself. He smiled widely at Jake, "Tell me whoever built this for you is still alive and around? I want to talk to him. You have no idea what I can do with these, if I had some information on the exact workings of the mechanism. You say they block Cerebro. What if I told you I can screw up Cerebro with these and possibly the man who it. He was of course referring to Professor Xavier.
He might be a man in the wheelchair but personally, Norton thought he was the most dangerous mutant that ever lived. He was the one who built Cerebro with Magneto and now used it to capture the other mutants. He felt the girl stir in his arms. He caught on after a few moments that she was trying to get down. He tried to let her down but she almost slipped out on her own. As she looked around, she clung to him again. He looked up at the dishes again, leaving her to figure things out for a while. He didn't realize he had walked forward to take a closer look at the dishes while she had turned around and walked away from him.
After a while he noticed her not around him anymore and turned to look around tryin to find her. He also realized he didn't know her name yet. That also made him wonder if she knew it herself. "Hey there!", he called out to her. He was a bit excited to know about the dishes but she was his first concern right now.
((If this isn't what you were going for swytch, let me know, I will change it. ))

"Yeah, the guy who designed the dish lives under the castle," Jake said. "He was an engineer before his mutant powers manifested themselves... now, he's a technopath who goes by the name of Apparatus. He's kind of an oddball, though."
He followed Norton's lead and looked around for the girl, but didn't see her. Because the castle was surrounded by trees on its other three sides, he assumed she had gone into the forest. "Shroud, get Dack inside and make sure he's comfortable. Alert the others that we're on a rescue mission in the Forbidden Forest." He didn't know whether Norton would catch the Harry Potter reference, but it hadn't been Jake's idea to name it that anyway.
Turning to Norton, he said, "We should probably find her before she gets out of dish range and shows back up on Cerebro."
(OOC: For those who didn't see Sky High, a technopath is someone who can make machines do whatever they want with the power of their mind. I'm pretty sure there's a canon technopath somewhere in the X-Men universe, but the character's name escapes me and I don't think they ever use that word to describe themselves.)

*where in the buggering hell is Jess >.>?? or Sat for that matter... but seriously.*
She hadn't gone that far in fact... Her eyes wandered about the castle as she did, taking in everything they possibly could while her feet tried not to stumble over each other. The entire design of the place was fairly foreboding and frightening, but her eyes didn't see much beyond a dark green and light green...
The girl hadn't gone far before entering a rather large room with lots of oddly shaped rectangular objects stacked atop each other, only separated by wooden outshoots that kept them from falling on top of each other; some were rather thin, while others she could make a fist in front of and they'd still be bigger than that. A single light sat on a desk in front of her, and several candles lit the room all around from the walls. Quite frankly, the entire setting sent chills down her spine, but she decided this would be a better place to stay than outside, where the floor was hard and light almost nonexistent. Speaking of floors...
The ground was furnished by plush brick-red carpet, thick enough to lose oneself on but having been worn well through the years. Visible tracks could be seen if one looked carefully, but she wasn't looking for that. Spirally designs adorned it, some of which made her head spin, but she ignored that. It felt nice to step on with her bare feet, and soon she found herself curling up in front of the desk and sound asleep, comfortable to be here instead of outside in the cold, wet areas, where mean people tried to grab her and haul her away somewhere... memories were beginning to come back, horrifying ones that were sparked by her surroundings, but for now, they passed one to the other quickly, not allowing her much time to watch them as she laid her head down to nap...

"I don't think she would venture in there alone. I think we should look inside the castle. Please tell me you don't have traps activated in there...", he asked Jake looking a bit worried. Even though she had some powers, he hadn't seen her so perceptive that she would be able to spot a complex trap just yet. She seemed more dazed to him than anything else. It almost seemed like she had just woken up into the world and everything was new to her. He was pretty sure it was her the X-Men were after. The question was why.

"Nope, no traps inside the castle except for the one that prevents teleportation," Jake said. "And there are other ways of traveling long distances quickly that may get people around that one, though it hasn't happened yet."
(OOC: I'm thinking of Bishop's slightly different method of teleporting here... the trap wouldn't disintegrate him like it would Jake or Nightcrawler, maybe just bruise him up a little.)
Jake headed inside the castle with Norton, then said, "You seem to have a better rapport with this girl than I do. Which direction do you think we should look first?"
