"Well, is there any name you'd like to have? I doubt any I could come up with would be terribly good." Bucket-of-bolts. Puppet. Robot. Little Doll. Yeah, none of those would really work to well.
Her thoughts were interupted by its statement about the didtance of any energy. She stopped and turned, staring at the doll through her goggles. "Through all this rock - a variety of rock, mind you, some of which has a tendancy to screw with electronics - you can pick up an energy signal at that distance? No, I don't want to be carried, but... Just what all are you capable of? If you can tell me without hurting yourself again."

The machine shakes her head, "The only title in my head at the moment is 'Dorothy'... for some reason that word sticks out alot more then anything else I can think of..." And then her mom asks her a question regarding her own innate abilities. The little android shakes her head slowly, "No... thre is a barrier installed within my memory banks that could cause a termination of my primary systems... I could attempt again, but the risk of self-termination is to great."

"Don't bother then, and Dorothy it is." She sighed. "For the time being, I'd rather you tried not to keep track of where we go, or where anything is. Can you do that?"

Dorothy nods, "Such an odd command mother, but I will do it..." She offers her a smile s runes flash accross her eyes for a moment, "Done. But why would you have me do that mother?"

"I like my privacy, and I keep it by being the only one who knows the way to my home," she said, starting walking again, this time the right way. Telling the machine - Dorothy - to not remember was probably useless anyway, if she could pick up energy signatures like that. Granted, the tunnel maze would still take a bit of time to get through, especially not knowing which turns to take, but that energy would still work like a compass.
Anyway, the sooner she got back, the sooner she could run that check on her blood - just in case. And going the right way cut travel time down drastically.

Dorothy nods and smiles, holding back from pointing out the fact that living in a tunnel underground was quite hermitic...
"So... what do you do for work mother?" She asks with a sincere smile, folding her hands together in front of her. "If you do not mind my inquiry."

"Before I tell you that, I need to know how well you can keep a secret," Chaser said, quite casually. She could see no reason to totally block the machine out; however, whether she decided to keep the thing or sell it, she had to know how safe she'd be. "In the chance that something should happen, and someone should somehow get hold of... whatever you use for memory. Are you capable of completely wiping out everything you know about me?"

"If anybody ever laid a hand on either of us mother they would regret it..." A smile as she looked over at Nyx, "But yes, I am capable of wiping my memory clean of you, your home, and your work... just as I am capable of wiping my memory of the route we're taking..." She pauses for a moment as they walk, "In fact... simply wiping my memory on demand is alot simpler then wiping it clean as we walk, as that requires me to actively monitor and delete information I take in."

"Well, do that, then, once we get there." She did not bother to stop, but kept going at a rather brisk pace. "For work, I am self-employed. I sell a particular product that I make myself to whoever offers me the most money." Well, the was the legit explaination. She was hesitant to say more, and after thinking it over, decided not to elaborate unless the machine - Dorothy - specifically asked. It wasn't exactly something that she was in the habit of telling; after all, presently, she had on no disguise.
"Actually, I'd rather you spoke more, of yourself or whatever." Anything that might clue her in as to where the android came from or what its purpose was. "Perhaps there are bits of your memory you can access?"

"One moment..." Dorothy said, as the green runes flashed accross her eyes once more. It took her a moment, and she didn't stop moving in order to continue walking alongside Nyx. When the runes disappeared she blinked and finnally spoke up.
"Mother, I currently have only bit and pieces of information that could provide you with an insufficient answer to your question..." She pauses a moment, but does not hesitate to tell Chaser the information she has. "Mother, the internal systems I have include enhanced reflexes..." Which would explain her incredibly speed, "High-Index Memory banks..." Which is fairly self-explanatory, "And a neutron-laser pistol. This is the only data that I can access at this time..." She smiles, "Oh yes, I am also your daughter... since you are the one who gave me life."

"Neutron laser pistol, eh?" Chaser turned to Dorothy and held out her hand. "You won't be needing that here, so please give it to me for the time being." She figured it'd be hard enough to handle the android if something were to go wrong, last thing she needed was for the thing to be armed. It may well have other things hidden away... but she could at least take the one that'd been admitted, and lock it up.
After a moment, Nyx added, "And please stop refering to me as mother. It's a bit annoying." Actually, it was perhaps the thing that disturbed her most about the machine...

Dorothy cants her head to the side and frowns, "Why do you wish me to hand over my weapon mother?" And then Nyx passes the comment about 'Do not call me mother' and she nods, "I will refrain from calling you 'mother' my mistress... but I do prefer it to mistres as you are the one who gave me life..."
She presses against her thigh, and it pops open to reveal the handle and grip of a pistol-like weapon. She draws it, the device looking like a very advanced but ancient laser weapon. She holds it out, "Becareful with it my mistress..."

Chaser took the weapon and simply held it, lacking any place she felt comfortable putting it. "Nothing personal, I'm just not a very trusting person. It's served me well many times..." She continued walking, becoming more eager to get through the narrow tunnels.
"Mistress sounds a bit weird, too." Although, it was less discomforting. "Just... call me Chaser. And stop saying I gave you life, I only-"
Stumbled into that place and had blood forcefully removed. No, she couldn't say it... Perhaps if the thing looked more like a robot and hadn't kept calling her "mother," but now it just seemed mean. It was bad enough to be an accident, but that?
"Mommy, where's my real daddy?"
"I don't know."
Nyx shook her head. "C'mon. It won't bee too much longer."

"Chaser does not seem like an appropriate title for one like you..." Dorothy says with a brief nod, "Mother or Mistress seems to be more proper to me..." Of course, she sighs and nods her head once, obviously, her newfound mother had settled her mind on the whole title issue.
"No it isn't much further..." She says simply at the last comment, a smile on her lips.

I have a different title, Nyx thought to herself, but out loud she only said, "It's my name."
Pitch black tunnels weren't much for scenery, but soon enough they had reached the very outer door of Chaser's lab and home. There wasn't really anything visible except more tunnel, but the woman stopped anyway to run her hands over the rocky wall. She found the spot, pushed aside a bit of rock, and pressed her thumb to a smooth plate that had been hidden. There were muffled mechanical noises, and Chaser stood calmly and pushed her goggles up as the stone began to move.
"We're about to have light," she warned, and sure enough a beam appeared from beneath the rising stone. It was actually a pretty dim light, but even after having been wearing the goggles, it was plenty illumination to see by. However, once the stone door had stopped moving, all that was revealed was a hall, only little less roughly hewn than the tunnel and noticeably smaller. Another, more visible door was at the end, along with a small numbered touchpad. Without a word, Chaser headed for it.
